  1. To write off all FUE procedures because it did not live up to one persons expectations seems a massive over reaction. I believe having the choice to do either FUT or FUE is a good thing. I have had both procedures and there is no way i would have the coverage just by FUE alone. There are always going to be cases where people are not happy with either procedures. Following the posts on here it seems that people have not done enough research - or they go to some unknown surgeon whos not on the recommended list. Discovering this website is a good start ! reading up as much as possible before opting for surgery seems the best way to proceed.
  2. Having had FUT (twice) and more recently FUE i did not have any of your above mentioned issues. It really does depend on the team you choose i believe. I managed to get a very good number of grafts using both the techniques. Yes the recovery time for FUE was quicker and easier to take care of, but FUT was also fine when following the surgeons advice to the letter.
  3. Hey we are all up for a healthy debate. However do you think we can get back to the title of this thread and answer the questions the guy is asking! Hes looking for reassurances and asking some important questions. But the thread has turned in to a debate about FUE tools..... This is now way off topic and i feel for the guy posting up his first thread. The guy was asking some pertinent questions about a treatment regime. Maybe we could get back to doing what a forum is good at and offer him so advice.
  4. yes it can be used after 10 days usually and/or when your wounds have healed !
  5. Maybe best to ask your hair surgeons advice. It seems to greatly differ from person to person. I asked the same question to the 3 surgeons who i have used and got a range of weeks to months and even nearly a year !
  6. Looks like this thread has gone off topic. This guy is looking for some reassurances. I think you will be pleased with your result when it grows in. And you have made a wise choice going with a conservative hairline. You have so many options open to you by having a small procedure now and saving you precious donor area for the future.
  7. I do agree with Mickey. It will make a difference starting in a couple of months time. I hated my look after 1st procedure (ugly duckling stage) but was pleasently pleased once it had grown in and hair had come back from shock loss. are you on any regime of hair loss products? IE like the ones reviewed and recommended on this site..? certainly would help any future loss and keep what you have at present.
  8. Hi The work looks very good. Although that does seem a unusual pattern for your donor area? Im not convinced that amount of FUE would cover that large area well. Was it recommended you have 1800 or more ? or was it a cost issue. I know the robotic ARTAS procedure is the most expensive. i
  9. It was recommended by my surgeon i should not do heavy exercise/manual labour for 3 weeks after op. However all normal activities can resume pretty much straight away.
  10. You will be fine 1 month on. no need to worry all the grafts will be firmly in. And in their resting phase. Most if not all of the normal shedding would have taken place !
  11. Just be as careful as you can for the 10 days following your surgery - they will be firmly in place by then.
  12. Hopefully you wont be bleeding and therefore shouldnt do any damage whatsoever. I have had 3 HTs and the 1st couple of nights i slept kind of propped up on a v pillow.
  13. Hi Best thing to do right now is post a few pics up on your profile. There are so many factors involved to a good HT.
