  1. So just because the frontscalp has stopped sprouting new hairs for now doesnt mean it can't restart again in a few weeks from now, right?
  2. Another thing I noticed is my hairgrowth seems to come in sections and in stages. First my front parts started coming through, now that has apparently stopped, and now my midscalp and crown seem to be getting newly sprouted hairs. I assume this is normal??
  3. Bumping this thread to get some more votes. I so far am loving my transplant, and I have over 7 months of growing left
  4. Important to note though dr. Hasson made the first 1cm into the hairline much thicker than the rest of the scalp. I really wanna avoid a 2nd thickening transplant on the front - and midscalp if possible. That means I have to shave again and go through all the other headaches again. I much rather just have to do the crown and be done with it
  5. Yup, pre-op pic. My hair diameter is about average between 50 to 70 microns. The silver hairs tend to be a bit thinner, but the darker ones are nice and thick. I also have the following advantages going for me: 1. My large forelock. 2. Curly hair (even though you cant really see it in the pic). 3. Good silver hair to white scalp colour contrast
  6. So I took a tape measure to my head, and the total bald area that hairs were transplanted in was approximately 120 cm2 (this does NOT include the crown area). Dr. Hasson said he got 4,217 grafts with a hair total of about 7,700 hairs transplanted to the front scalp and midscalp (see red box in pic). So 7,700 hairs into 120 cm2 means each cm2 received about 64 hairs each. All the research I've done basically says that amount of hairs are enough to create density illusion, am I right?? So if thats true then I wont need additional grafts in the red box to add more density, and I can just focus on getting the crown area next and then I'm done. Does this sound about right, or am I making a calculation mistake here??
  7. How could he have had 2 FUE's if he has FUT staples in that pic??
  8. It depends how high up your RA goes. Post pics of the back of your head if you want us to judge you better
  9. Wow BioLizard, I have never EVER heard so much negativity from one person in my life!! WTF is wrong with you for god sakes?????!!! Your hair looks great IMO!! I'm not sure what you're complaining aboot??!! Yes you have a bit of a bald spot up front, but that will even out over next 6 months or so. Shut the hell up for god sakes. Whats wrong with you??!!!!
  10. LOL...you guys are like me now, I always notice a full head of hair on some guys, but I also notice peoples patterns a lot more. The other day I was in a store and saw this guy who couldnt have been much older than 25 who had one of the worst NW7's I have ever seen. No hope for him unfortunately. And as I was watching GER-UKR yesteday I noticed their forward Zozulya who has one of the thickest forelocks around. I would think he's a good HT candidate
  11. He's headed for a NW6 to NW7 I think. His sides look okay though, his nape does not however. The key for him will be to go to a good doctor, and not a hairmill like Harley st.
  12. Well, the transplanted hairs that fell out were gonna fall out anyways had they not been transplanted and stayed in the back of his scalp. So he would have to wait to see how far his Norwood progressed and then go from there. I think his scalp is somewhat salvageable if he doesnt go severe NW7, and if he delves into beard hairs or other BHT
  13. There you go. Thats what I was talking about. It looks like his surgeon transplanted DHT sensitive hairs, and those are now starting to fall out. I guess looking on the bright side he's just wasted a lot of money and perhaps he can still get a 3rd or 4th HT from a reputable doctor who will use good donor hair
  14. Thats unmistakeable proof he had work done
  15. I'm not saying he doesnt look a bit better, but for someone who had 2 HT's I dont think the results are very good. He could have gotten much better results with a different surgeon
  16. I dunno about that, you seem to be doing well for a NW 6
  17. Watching the Euro right now, Rooney's transplant looks absolutely horrible. It looks like he was headed for a Norwood 7, and perhaps the surgeon transplanted miniaturized hairs that were gonna fall out eventually anyways
  18. I took a measuring tape to my forelock, it takes up aboot 40% of my frontal hairline. Thats a major advantage because thats half the battle in creating an artificial hairline that a surgeon doesnt have to worry about
  19. Thanks everyone for your positive comments. Here's my approximate 4-month update (my HT was on Feb. 3rd, 2016) Compared to 19 days ago there's quite an improvement again. See pic below taken on May 18th:
  20. That looks much, much better Don. I was initially worried you might have a failed transplant, but with 5 months of growing still left to go I think you'll be allright. And remember the midscalp and crown areas are the last to grow in, the front of the scalp is almost always first
  21. Its not that they charge you extra, its just that they cant predict exactly how many grafts they can get before surgery, so they give you a rough estimate beforehand and then whatever they can get extra is bonus. I'm not sure why they went with FUT with me. I just went along with the program
  22. How many months in are you?? I am at exactly 3 months and 3 weeks in
