  1. Very nice results, quality work by the doctor.Kudos to both patient and the doctor.
  2. second FUT with another scar at the back would be difficult to hide given now slightly limited donor area. Just my feeling. I would not loose hope yet. Continue maintaining a good scalp hygiene and see how much growth you have at the end of 1 year and then go from there. It is good that you now have frontal framing of the face. Wait for few months before making any further moves for HT then decide. This is my gut feeling, may be other experts can answer this better?.

looks really nice and natural at 7 months itself, given more growth over next few months it will look even better!,congratulations both to yourself and Dr. Bhatti, job well done.
  4. In the second picture you seem to have some growth behind the hairline, but overall not much change in density from 4 th month!, but as everyone says,it is not until a year before u realize the full growth from a HT, so keeping fingers crossed and praying for you. Though with decent amount of hair in front lock the HT has at least has framed your face. As suspected another procedure to implant more hairs to frontal 2/3 rd might give u enough density for a matured hair look with mild diffuse loss?. I agree a little dissapointing that there is not major improvement after 4 th month, however all is not lost, if I were you I would only go for FUE not another FUT.
  5. Agree, one has to do thorough research, just not go based solely on the forum recommendations, though recommendation means atleast a minimum standard has been achieved by the recommended doctor. And yes it is important that these issues are investigated by owners and moderators alike speedily. I also do not think most doctors would use multiple proxies like the above example. However it is now becoming increasingly clear that some do!, which in itself should be very concerning!!!. Bottomline - the sanctity of the forum must be maintained at any cost, even if it means punishing a doctor for falsifying records or false advertising or any other misdemeanor. This forum has given me so much, it is important that this wonderful forum be made available to other hairloss patients as well in its helpful form.
  6. This is a serious issue, the explanation by the doctor also sounds suspect, I think this needs to be thoroughly investigated, the thread be kept open and explanation provided where it is due.
  7. personally being a physician myself I kind of compare it to intial statin research like Pitavastatin, was found to have horrible toxicities then came others which were more lipid specific and are now being used regularly, though the newer ones have their own set of risk profile and long term side effects. Lets keep our fingers crossed to see if follicle specific drug makes its way around to the market eventually . Thanks Dr. Blake Bloxham for for your expert input.

  9. agree partly with bablu - cheaper price may sometimes mean inferior quality work, however there are plenty of great doctors who are not recommended here, also there are few doctors who have been recommended here who have also had bad results, not a knock on the forum since the criteria to become recommended are very strict and docs are thoroughly vetted. Just goes to show that one needs to do his/her own research.
  10. New drugs that may cure baldness found See the above link for two new drugs in research for baldness cure, still in early phase the family of JAK inhibitors, may be by modification people can make it hair follicle specific with less side effects?. Lets be hopeful!.
  11. Please see attached, NW 6/7, initially diagnosed based on pictures as having retrograde alopecia with average to poor density in donor region, albeit early days and I still have many months to go for growth to materialize almost 3600 grafts were safely harvested from my donor site, for the rest mix of beard and scalp hair were used. I do have pretty straight beard hairs and for frontal 1/3 rd pure scalp hairs were used. Now praying for my results to turn out to be good. I am very happy with my procedure, and by my HT doctor so far. Rest is left to nature as to how the results turns out to be, guess we will know in another 6-12 months time.
  12. Not yet, but will do so soon as I get back to USA, I have one more touch up to the crown left with combo HT. This one picture is of two and half weeks post transplant. Have had some scab fall off and you can seea bald patch at the back which will be done soon. I am very happy with the experience so far. I will post more pictures on a separate thread as mentioned before later.

I will post more pictures on a separate thread as mentioned before later. I had my procedure done by Dr. Arika Bansal and Dr. Pradeep Sethi at eugenix at their brand new facility at Guargaon. They use state of the art equipment and very friendly people, also results with NW 6/7 patients are excellent. i can tell you more once my result shows up. Though I feel quite confident of good outcomes from my procedure based on initial few days of healing!. Keeping my fingers crossed, and my prayers for your continued great growth. I evaluated Dr.Umar myself, however was not veay happy for multitude of reasons including the response I got for my queries. However my opinion of him might be biased since I never met him personally. Wait 4 my thread in 2 weeks time, once my crown work is (about 10% area left) completed I shall post all the pictures. All the best for your growth bro.
  14. The below is not entirely correct, Dr. Kapil Dua is recommended on this forum he is from Delhi. However Dr. Bhatti is a very good surgeon with some excellent cases posted on this forum. It is important to pay attention to cosmetic results of your surgery given that ur getting ur frontal hairline restored. So even though NOT recommended on this forum I would suggest you check out Dr. Pradeep Sethi and Dr. Arika Bansal and their results on their websites at eugenix. I think given the type of results they are producing they would soon be recommended on this website if they so desire. Their results look very natural so does Dr. Bhatti's as well.
  15. looks like there has been a definite improvement on the picture to the left with more thickness in the crown area, looks like fin is working on you!.
  16. thank you transhair, any other takes for FUE?
  17. @ HTSoon, I agree wholeheartedly with your opinions on NW 6/7, I myself being NW6 with depleted donor area. I recently had combo scalp and BHT done in India and will post a separate thread and pictures soon, the experience was great and the cost was 1/10 th of the money spent in USA even after adding airticket costs.
  18. Check out results by Dr. Arika Bansal of Eugenix in the results posted by SHASLEc0. Looks natural and seems like there are advantages for DHT technique. (not recommended by HTN yet!) There are other doctors like Dr. Dua, Dr. p o s w a l, Dr. Tejinde Bhatti, Dr. Madhu (Hyderabad), Dr. Radha (Hyderabad) many of whom are recommended on this forum. Only Dr. Bansal, Dua and Dr. Bhatti do BHT as far as my knowledge pf these docs go.
  19. Heard multiple opinions about this. when is it safe to oil the scalp or the grafted area after transplant?. just for the sake of messaging the reciepient area or the donor area. Thanks.
