  1. Wow. The first pics with those tunnel grafts make him look like some kind of mental patient. In the after pics he looks like a movie star or a game show host. It almost doesn't even look like the same person. This is about as good as it gets.
  2. At this rate, Bobman will have his own reality show by next year.
  3. It's very difficult from that pic to determine if the entire area is a scar or if it's from shockloss. Although I was informed by my doc that area is where the biggest risk of stretching occurs.
  4. WOW, what a great deal! Apparently each order of Propecia comes with a free 7800 graft transplant from Hasson and Wong! Seriously though. If all these places are going to rip off H&W, you would think they would at least not use the very first pic on the website. Laziest con artists ever.
  5. TTP: No, you have been more than fair and I know you never blamed the good doctor. When I was following this thread, my original reaction was that HT isn't an exact science and once in awhile you have someone who isn't a good responder. It was only after your post where he said you had 80% growth that I got I felt like I needed to post something in your defense. But Dr. Alexandar does have a lot of great results. And he does bring up a lot of good points especially about seeing a lot of fine hairs that are still waiting to mature. This forum is a lot different than any I've ever visited because you have to choose you words so carefully. I remember making one comment that I thought was a very nuetral statement regarding a clinic but was taken as a slam. I think I'll just keep my mouth shut from now on!
  6. Thanks for the photos Dr. Alexander. They do look better here. Sorry about the "strike one" comment but it was only in response to the patient's post. It appeared at the time he was being mislead by his comments and everyone elses. He does seem to just be an abnormally slow grower.
  7. My results were also about 4 months after taking it. I started not long after having my last Bosley procedure. The 400 micro grafts caused the remaining hair(not a lot) in the crown to go into shockloss. The finisteride started regrowing all the lost hair from the shockloss plus the rest of my crown hair that had dissappeared over the last couple of years. It started as almost like it was a moving carpet of hair growing from the edges toward the center. Within about 7 months, I had complete crown coverage minus the scar from the scalp reductions. I wish it would have worked longer than 4 years though.
  8. Wow, these pics look a lot better than the others I had seen. Some of the further away shots gave me the impression the hairline wasn't as natural as it could be. But the close up shots look almost perfect. Why haven't H&W used you in one of their video presentations?
  9. I had some testicular aching that I had never experienced before when I first started fin. It could not have been imaginary because I didn't even know what the side effects were until later. However, it quickly subsided. The drug worked great for the 4 years that I took it before it lost its effectiveness on me. Now duta I would never touch again even if you paid me a million bucks. My hair was falling out like I was on chemo for the short time I was on it.
  10. Well Peter Pan, your post count is up to 2, but it's still not working. I'll give you a C- for effort though.
  11. Good post. I had my procedure done Oct. 12th and I don't mind waiting. Think of it this way. It's much more painful ticking off the months knowing that you are slowly losing your hair instead of slowly gaining it. I'm going to thrown on a cap and go about my business. In 9 months or so I'll start looking closer to see if there's anything up there.
  12. You are going to have to put a little more effort into it than this.
  13. Yea, I had minimal effects from fin, but duta is another story. If you are calling finisteride poison, then duta is radioactive anthrax.
  14. If he honestly told you 80% then that should be "strike one" for him here. Hopefully we aren't seeing another one start down the Armani path.
  15. If there's even the slightest chance you would be ok with buzzing it, then try it. The shaved look is a style these days even for people with full heads of hair. You'll never be able to do it again after you start down the HT path.
  16. Fantastic write up M1A1. When you were doing this write-up I was actually having my procedure with Ron at the time . Ron got 3008 grafts from me and was able to really pack them in. Even If I only get 50% growth I will notice a significant improvement.
  17. That's a good write up from Dr. Limmer. It doesn't sound at all like they are taking a swipe at other clinics. Just sounds like they have a different approach. No different really than in any other field of medicine.
  18. I've read for many it continues to work indefinitely. However, the benefits of propecia only lasted about 4 years for me. I was initially a great responder and I grew back about 90% of the crown hair that I had lost. But it slowly lost its effectiveness and after 4 years, I had lost all I had gained. I stopped taking it and there was no difference even about a year later, so the drug had done all it could do for me.
  19. Well, there is something to be said for covering the crown and combing forward a bit. I've seen this on naturally balding guys and it looks fine. I personally think it looks better than a fully restored hairline with a big bald spot. However most prefer to have their face framed and work from front to back.
  20. I did about 3 months of exercises starting in July and had my procedure Oct. 12th. During my consult, my laxity was gauged as "tight". I decided to do Jotronics scalp exercises but did them an average of 1 hour per day instead of 30 minutes. Sometimes I did up to 2 hours per day. The end result was my laxity went from tight to very loose. Although the amount I was doing may have been overkill. I didn't apply a huge amount of pressure while doing the exercises. But enough to move the underlying tissue up and down. But it's definitely more pressure than doing a light massage.
  21. I know what you are talking about. I took some pre-HT pics myself that shows the worse possible angles and combing seperation. But after I reach full maturity for my transplant, I will comb my hair to show the exact same combing I used in my July shot. The pre-HT pics that SMG took actually make me look better than I am because I had grown my hair so long in preperation for the surgery. That's why I included both my pics and the ones they took in my logs.
  22. Great results for sure. Will the eyebrow hair continue to grow like scalp hair unless trimmed or will it take on the characteristics of the eyebrow area (as for as hair length)
  23. That's an interesting question and I don't think it's even been contemplated on here.
