  1. I never slept in a reclined position after my transplants and I had great results on the first one.....I'm only a little over 6 weeks post op from my second. I think you are fine.
  2. It's amazing what the frontal third can do for your appearance......looks great and you look MUCH younger (I like the combed back look better as well)
  3. Hi Johnny, I would say I only shed the recently transplanted hairs.....I don't think really have any native hair on top (it is all transplanted hair from the early 90's) I don't think I had any shock loss.....I just look exceptionally worse right now because before they shaved me for this transplant my previously transplanted hair was long enough to give some coverage and now it is very short.
  4. Hey Redcut, Nice to see some early growth....It is starting like fine baby hair which is normal.....next three months will see huge improvements
  5. Hey AJ, Good to see your post, was thinking of you the other day and how your results turned out (I looked your name up on the members search list and it came up "no results" so I thought you maybe got off the forum). Pics look Great! Both the crown and the front filled in awesome, I think you would be good not getting anymore done if you chose not to, but another pass and you will look like you've never lost a hair. I am six weeks post from my second surgery with Dr. Lorenzo (July 20, 21st), 2802 grafts this time (in the front and on top).....I am really in the ugly duckling stage right now but hoping for as good a result as I got in my crown. How have people reacted to your new hair? You have to be thrilled.
  6. I agree with your mixed feelings.......the results are good/natural and it's a huge improvement from where you started, but I would have expected better density also. On a side note your crown improvement is incredible! Your routine pretty much restored all your hair in the crown.
  7. Hey Redcut.....everything did pretty much even out over time....my right side (crown) is a little weaker than the left but when I looked back at my pics right after my original transplant I could see that it looked like it was transplanted a little less dense on the right side.....I have a large area to cover so Dr. Lorenzo might have been a little conservative to save grafts for the top....
  8. I would be interested in seeing them Redcut.....I started seeing some hair sprouting by month 3 like fine baby hair but it was significant by month 5.....and different areas definitely came in at different rates .....make sure to take pics for yourself around the same day every month to compare....when I got to month 5 I had pretty good growth and started thinking this is all I'm probably gonna get but when I compared it to my 6 month pics there was a huge difference.....I had pretty steady increases through about 9 months.....I think after that the hair seemed to still be maturing as far as losing some of it's curl, etc....then at 11 moths I went back for my second transplant and had my head shaved again.
  9. Look at Dr. Lorenzo in Spain.... https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZReMHLJtrmN2DPZWsP98-A he does great crown work.....I had 2751 grafts in my crown (NW6) and my results are great (in my opinion).....there is a 2751 crown case on his youtube channel but that is not me
  10. I think extreme dieting can cause hair loss period....a girl I know had a gastric bypass and was drinking protein drinks for that reason.....not a bad idea if you are gonna diet.
  11. Nice write up Redcut.....I have been to Dr. Lorenzo twice......once a year ago last August 2015 (25 & 26) when he put 2751 grafts in my crown.....My results were great (In my opinion) and two weeks ago in July 2016 (20 & 21) when he put 2802 grafts in my front and top.....hoping for as good of results as my crown.....Im probably gonna post my results up all at once when my front and top come in. I had a lot more area to cover than you, with 4301 grafts in the smaller areas you have to cover I will bet you will look like you've never lost a hair when that all comes in.
  12. I bought 6000 euros from my bank in the US and carried them with me when I went to Spain and had no problems.....if you don't want to carry it then you should maybe try to find out if they have a currency exchange at the airport in Istanbul and if so if you can use a debit or credit card to buy the currency (I know there was a currency exchange booth in the airport in Madrid) although I would be a little worried about a possible language barrier while trying to buy the euros. I know you said they want cash on site but if they would be ok with it you could also do a wire transfer of the money from your bank to their account and pay ahead of time? I paid a 1500 euro downpayment for my surgery this way.
  13. Dr. Lorenzo in Spain....he did my crown 2751 grafts and my results were great (in my opinion).....just went back last week to have him do my front.
  14. Looks Great Pma!!! Has to be a great feeling putting that behind you.....
  15. After 3 months, very little growth......growth started to be pretty obvious at 4 months, probably around 50% but it was really fine (baby hair).....I would say by 5 months I had a lot of my grafts growing in but they were still pretty fine but are getting thicker. I will be at 6 months on Feb 26th.
  16. You will probably start seeing some good growth soon, around 5 months I saw a lot of growth.....still hoping for a lot more (I am almost at 6 months).
  17. Thanks for the answer Tav......really appreciate you taking the time to give specific details.....you should be thrilled with the results you have and like you said, it's only gonna get better.
  18. Looks awesome Tav! I like the slicked back look. When do you think you saw the most improvement? Looked like a really big change from 4 to 5 months, but it seemed to continue to improve pretty steadily every month afterwards especially with the hair maturing, getting darker and thicker.
  19. That I don't know.....I don't use minoxidil at all.....I tried the liquid and it made my scalp super itchy and never tried the foam......sorry now I just saw in your original post you are using the foam......must have just skipped right over "foam" the first time I read it.
  20. My itchiness pretty much subsided by around one month after the transplant.....still had some itch afterwards but nothing like the first month.....I bet your itch is from the minoxidil.....I can't use that stuff cause it makes my scalp extremely itchy.....its probably the propylene glycol used in the liquid form.....I don't think the minoxidil foam has that in it.....you might be better using the foam
  21. Hey.....couldn't see the album but the thumbnail looks good......I know you said your right side is coming in slower but it looks good at 3 months......early growth
  22. I am not saying you have shed all your grafts, or it is necessary to shed all your grafts, just that seeing sheding grafts is normal and that you are pretty much in the waiting phase right now
  23. Looks like you pretty much shed your grafts and are now just in the waiting stage
  24. It was late when I saw this result and hadn't seen the video yet (didn't even know there was one).....you are correct David, the video shows the results much better.....great result
