  1. Which online pharmacies (just the name is fine) are good sources and reputable when ordering from the UK please?
  2. Seems each individual has a different experience to tell. Mine is positive & I don't find it difficult nor messy to deal with in the three plus years I've been using it. All one can do is 'try' it and decide for oneself I guess
  3. I've found the easiest way 'for me' to apply (& guys, I only spend a minute doing this!), is to empty the Min into a little spray bottle (like the travel ones with the pump action spray nozzle ) & give my head a few sprays first thing in the morning and in the evening (so twice a day). I massage it into my scalp with my finger tips and then 'thoroughly' wash my hands (don't want werewolf hands!! Ha ha!). Job Done - Easy! (Using it 3 years now & really positive results Gents).
  4. Good Luck chum, I'm rooting for you! Having gone through "the eve of combat" (well it feels a bit like that) myself a few weeks ago (I flew UK to Istanbul), I can empathise with your natural apprehension & nerves. I felt 'very alone' in my journey (both physically as it was a totally foreign city and mentally as until you are there, it feels surreal & you don't know what's waiting for you!). My taxi ride to the clinic I was thinking, "What the hell am I doing here? Have I seriously paid good money & volunteered myself to be subjected to this? Am I crazy??" It really all felt quite unreal to be honest. And as you wait at home, checking and rechecking that you have all your documents and addresses and times..etc, part of you will just want the whole thing over and done with! Bring an iPod with your fave music to play. Bring a postcard sized prompt card with brief prompt questions to ask the surgeon (because when you're there & adrenalin is pumping, you don't want to rely on just memory! I found that a stretchy towelling sweat band for your head afterwards and a light cotton large bandana was handy to cover up afters and it fits around the sweatband If just hand luggage then bring some 100 ml bottles to decant liquids that the Doc might give you for travelling through airport. Button front shirts so no pulling over head. Print out pics of some guys with hairlines that you like. Good to bring to pre op discussion. Good luck and focus on why you're doing it and the difference in 12 months (just this time next year! So not long). Regards, Campbell
  5. I 'really' feel for the gentleman who went through this procedure. I can only 'imagine' how he must feel. As for the clinic, what on earth were they 'thinking' when they posted this on a public forum?
  6. I'm sorry, but I'm confused by these photos. Are these the 'before' photos prior to the HT? If so, then it would be worth posting the pre procedure pics with new hairline marked out & finally 'after surgery' photos so that members have a fuller overall idea of the work that has been completed. Thank you.
  7. You must be really pleased with this! Just got to be patient now
  8. I concur with the two weeks post op. Good Luck!
  9. I concur with the two weeks post op. Good Luck!
  10. You're welcome. Very professional surgeon, clinic and team. He's totally hands on over six hours or longer, whatever it takes. Will give full write up , details and overview in 6 months once hair & head balances out and we see some regrowth after the inevitable shedding season! Regards CAMPBELL.
  11. To my eye it looks pretty good and only half way through! just think what it will be like in 'another' six months. Walk tall..!
  12. Some great resources Gents! Also look at Trustworthymedicine.com Based in the USA but low postage to UK. To give you an idea. ?119 (GB Pounds) for 120 x 5mg Proscar!! Blimey! Then just chop them up (or pessle and mortar them and weigh out into 1mg - a faff I know, but for that price..!).
  13. Thank you for the resounding words of 'support' and 'encouragement' Gentlemen. In light of the remarks I think it'll be best if I update in 6 to 12 months. Kindest Regards, Campbell.
  14. After over four years a member here I have finally decided on an HT / FUE procedure. I haven't exactly rushed into it and I'm thankful and grateful for all the help, advice and support from many members here over the past few years. I've finally signed up to go to Istanbul (not Constantinople!) Flying from the UK via Amsterdam to Istanbul. I'm a Norwood 5(a), but hey, we are ALL more than just a number on a door aren't we! So hopefully I'll 'at least' lose the (a) of that Norwood Scale, but in reality I'm after a little bit more progress! all in good time. The surgeon will be conducting ALL of the procedure himself (very hands on) over two days, spending approx seven to eight hours on 'each' session. Looking at around 4500 grafts in two separate procedures of FUE. He's been a speaker and member of the ISHRS for a number of years now. I'm well aware just how fragile and momentary life is (my hair loss was in part triggered by a massive head trauma which nearly left me for dead). We only have 'one life' and if we can enhance it in some small way then 'why not.' "Carpe Diem!" So I've been planning and researching and saving for a few years now, just a little bit put aside each month in the piggy bank! It really doesn't feel quite 'real' at this moment as I type all this, that in just over a week's time I'll be in Istanbul To be honest, I feel quite 'alone' in doing this journey and I envy those of you who have family and friends to support you in this enterprise. Sadly, I 'am' my own support . As I said initially, I've been a member for a few years now and the admin staff have been first rate and so approachable, and the members 'here' are a class act too, with everyone I contacted over the years getting back to me with well balanced support, advice and suggestions. So thank you. Kindest Regards, Campbell. Attached Thumbnails

    3 weeks away

Good luck! It's a really brave move & I hope it works out well & is positive
  16. Gents. Where have been the best value sources for these treatments when living in the UK? As some suppliers / retailers are charging an arm & a leg. Thanks in advance for any pointers! Campbell.
  17. Hi Bill, hope this finds you well across the pond there. I've just written up a little pre-op piece on my imminent journey to Turkey/Istanbul for five days. Thanks again for all your advice and support and running a great forum on here. Kindest Regards, Campbell.

  18. After over four years a member here I have finally decided on an HT / FUE procedure. I haven't exactly rushed into it and I'm thankful and grateful for all the help, advice and support from many members here over the past few years. I've finally signed up to go to Istanbul (not Constantinople!) for five days in June. Flying from the UK via Amsterdam to Istanbul. I'm a Norwood 5(a), but hey, we are ALL more than just a number on a door aren't we! So hopefully I'll 'at least' lose the (a) of that Norwood Scale, but in reality I'm after a little bit more progress! all in good time. I've waited this long (as you'll see from my membership!) so I'm a reasonable patient and realistic person as to what can be done, what to expect and over what period of time. The surgeon will be conducting ALL of the procedure himself (very hands on) over two days, spending approx seven to eight hours on 'each' session. Looking at around 4500 grafts in two separate procedures of FUE. His name is Dr Ali Emre Karadeniz and following his general grounding as a medic, he trained and specialised in plastic reconstructive surgery, before then branching out into HT. He's been a speaker and member of the ISHRS for a number of years now. Probably like many of you who have been through this or are about to go through it, (and I'm just over a week away so it feels rather surreal right now), I am rather apprehensive & nervous, if truth be told. On the flip side of that, I am feeling positive that I'm making a proactive move to take control of something in my life that I'm lucky enough to have in my power to change (I have the finances now and the strength of character to see this through and I don't take that for granted as many people out there in today's economy just sadly don't have that luxury right now). I'm well aware just how fragile and momentary life is. We only have 'one life' and if we can enhance it in some small way then 'why not.' So I've been planning and researching and saving for the past four years now, just a little bit put aside each month in the piggy bank! It really doesn't feel quite 'real' at this moment as I type all this, that in just over a week's time I'll be in Istanbul (in a country I'm totally unfamiliar with) and I'll be volunteering to put myself under the knife (small as it may be!) and in the trusting hands of another professional. To be honest, I feel quite 'alone' in doing this journey and I envy those of you who have family and friends to support you in this enterprise. And the aftermath poses some questions and concerns too, such as how to cover things up until my head looks more 'natural' again. I tend to wear hats and caps anyway, so maybe that's the way to go. But 'I know' there's plenty of advice on the board here. As I said initially, I've been a member for over four years now and the admin staff have been first rate and so approachable, and the members 'here' are a class act too, with everyone I contacted over the years getting back to me with well balanced support, advice and suggestions. So thank you. This is a rather unique friendly and safe oasis on the WWW in a world where often the stigma and ridicule of male pattern hair loss is often the same as that of mental health conditions(an area that I specialise and work in). All rather sad. Anyway, I shall endeavour to get photographs...etc to catelogue all this, as I 'know' you guys appreciate that, to help others make a balanced, impartial and informed decision if and when you decide on this course of action & feel that it is 'for' you. Kindest Regards, Campbell.
