  1. Try pain relief bacitracin w zinc. . I've been getting minor itching in the donor after fue. Johnsons baby shampoo has helped w dryness I had in the recipient area. Wear a hat if your in the sun longer than 5 minutes til month 3. These were the tips given to me by dr Diep.
  2. Looks pretty good from where you started. Are you considering another procedure?
  3. this is the exact opposite of my experience with dr. diep. I would like to see pics also. It sounds like the o/p did go to diep because of the some of the details. I always get scared reading these, I'm three weeks post op and really hoping my results are good.
  4. I think that's the best hairline work I have seen from vories. looks pretty natural and softer than I usually see from him. very nice
  5. after shaving my head for my first procedure a few weeks ago I realized I didn't mind it so much. I look ok with a buzzed head and some facial hair. the funniest part is that all my bald friends say I look better shaved and all my friends who have hair say that I should grow it back. I thought that was hilarious
  6. in this order- Konior, diep then rahal. have you consulted with all three? if you are close then see one of them in person. also go to some surgeons in your area if you can and have them look at your head in person. I had many consults over the years. I ended up going with diep. I'm two weeks post op so I have a long long way to go before my final result
  7. I had a surgery with Dr. Diep. at about 5 days post op I requested a facetime follow-up with him and his office scheduled one for later the same day when he was done with surgery. I was very happy about that. His office has returned all my emails the same day. I feel like his aftercare is pretty good given that I am in NY and he's in Ca. also, he gives many pages of explicit aftercare instructions to refer to. on that list he says what should be considered an emergency and what to do in case.
  8. I agree with what you said. certain foods cause inflammation in the body. for example, any kind of whey protein sets off my eczema and I itch for hours. I used to drink 3 whey shakes a day and my skin was horrible and in the winter I used to wake up at night just to scratch. I noticed when I stopped whey altogether no more eczema outbreaks.
  9. some of the posters in this thread have had FUT and are experiencing the shedding as well. what's your take on that?
  10. I think its 45 per bottle. I bought one bottle to see if I got any sides. you should email the office and confirm the price. he also has a few different topicals that you should look into. I wrote in another thread that the most effective thing I ever used was dr lee's xandrox which was 15% minox, 0.01 fin and it had some aleaic (spelling) acid. I didn't get any sides from that at all. too bad the fda shut him down.
  11. I just bought some topical fin from Wesley's office. I have used it in the past before (dr. Lee xandrox) and it was really effective without any sides. hopefully lightning strikes twice for me.
  12. I just read that you started shedding at 1.5 months. wow. how did that feel? at 6 weeks I would think the shed wouldn't happen.
  13. I am 45 and I am what you would call a diffuse thinner but really hair line was destroyed from going testosterone therapy a few years ago. I consulted with about 5 drs on this site including the great one from Chicago. each one recommended about 1500 grafts into the hairline. the rest of my hair is pretty decent. my mothers side of the family has all their hair. all the baldness on my fathers side isn't visible until around 50 years of age even though the thinning starts years earlier-we have a lot of hair. my father is 78 and still isn't bald but has thinned out on top. let me say I am not unhappy at all with my procedure and I really liked my doctor. He had a great bedside manner and was present throughout the whole surgery and did all the extractions himself. I spoke to him throughout most of the day so I know he was there. I just would have liked to have known before hand about the propecia. is that really too much to ask that after paying money for cosmetic surgery that I should use a medication for life that has given me sexual sides in the past? I really don't think I am really wrong here.
  14. I'm seeing this might take some magic to make you comprehend my point. Firstly, Where do I say I am disgruntled? I am actually quite happy with my procedure so far, so is my gf. I really liked the doctor I choose and I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone. I can see you are an unethical person and really just looking to argue foolishly on the internet. if you feel like the dr did nothing wrong and I am totally to blame that's your opinion. why wouldn't the dr just tell me at the time of my consult that he recommends propecia after surgery? Absolutely nothing changed in the six weeks from my consult til my surgery date except that I had paid in full. and in my first post I did say I was told AFTER my surgery so it was a little late to walk out. hope this helps
  15. I took propecia in the past and STOPPED because of sides. when I had my consult he said I wouldn't need to use propecia at all after and I told him that I wouldn't go through with a ht if I needed to use propecia again. he said don't worry about it. then the morning of my surgery he strongly recommends me take propecia. if he would have told me that he strongly recommends propecia at the time of my first consult I felt that would have been more appropriate. how could his opinion change about the use of propecia in 6 weeks time? no need for your condescending tone. I don't think there's any "magic" involved in preventing hair loss. I have been fighting hair loss for 23 years dude so I fully know what it entails. if you can't write a constructive comment in my thread then please go elsewhere. its really not appreciated. Trying to belittle me by implying that I am idiot with your magically comment is just being rude. I hope you don't talk to your kids or spouse like that.
  16. biggest lie I think is that on my first consult my dr said I wouldn't need propecia so that's why I proceeded but then after the procedure the dr. said he strongly recommends propecia. I never wanted to take propecia again but now I feel deceived. my gf isn't happy either. been a constant fight
  17. is it me or did that lasercomb give some ok results. considering using that and the viveracal (spelling)
  18. If I was that surgeon I would have given the guy 3000 grafts and ate the difference. Talk about free advertising.
  19. This is done in a lot of industries. Have any of you ever been to open houses that look nothing like their pics online. Obviously you wouldn't buy a house without seeing it and you should try to meet as many patients in person before getting a ht. I honestly don't think the hair transplant Drs on this site are really that deceptive.
  20. Good for you man. Make the most of your youth. I finally got a ht last wk and I'm 45. I didn't need one until I was around 40. Although I slowly thinned out the last 20 yrs I didn't look like I was balding til the last three yrs. all these guys who are older and say wait should really take into consideration how much ht technology has changed. Every hair transplant dr I've consulted w frim this forum has a 6 month waiting list so the industry is thriving. Less than 1% of people who have ht post on this forum about it.
  21. i always felt msm made my hair thicker. I think the best supps are the ones that are anti-inflammatory in nature. probably curcumin resveratrol . also I think all the fat soluble vitamins are important. A D K E
  22. Hey man. Dr Diep didn't recommend Gh directly. I have taken Gh before. I had two shoulder surgeries and I took Gh injections after one of the surgeries and it healed up in a month. I didn't take Gh after the 2nd shoulder surgery and it took several months to heal up. Both surgeries were for the same thing-bone spurs. Dr Diep said something to me about acell and Gh increasing healing in older patients and that was another reason i started this. The best way would have been to start it a few days before surgery like I did in the past for my shoulder. It's prescription and an injection. I do have before and after pics. I was debating in starting my own thread but I'm literally 6 days post op so I'll get around to it in the next couple weeks
  23. Here is a pic of me at day 5 after fue w dr Diep. I started growth hormone injects the day after surgery. The redness is your body healing itself. Raising your igf levels will speed up healing that's why so many pro athletes use Gh after surgery. All of my redness is gone and the scabs are coming off. I plan on using Gh for the next 20-30 days or so. I'm surprised I healed up so fast cause even dr Diep and his staff commented on what a bleeder I was. I needed 2 iv bags after surgery cause of all the blood I lost.
