  1. I wasn’t planning to update until 1 month but on Tuesday, Wednesday would be 3 weeks post -op, I noticed some shock loss in the hairline and also behind the previous frontal work. IMG_2011.thumb.jpeg.a67594fe41eb1be23af937f2958073b0.jpegIMG_2012.thumb.jpeg.18d48576301f8b3a7096a97878617690.jpegIMG_2013.thumb.jpeg.f75b4bbae518c68be518486ecc304664.jpegIMG_2014.thumb.jpeg.5815ca66e4c337f4ecfbf9643db588c4.jpegIMG_2015.thumb.jpeg.616a815e5f5a77bca221f569285f6ddf.jpegAt first I thought the grafts were shedding but upon examination…nope. They’re still hanging on.

Here is a pic of my hair I posted earlier in the thread while working on getting the scape to loosen. The arrows indicate where the hair I believe is also letting go causing it to be harder to disguise.IMG_1547.thumb.jpeg.248b1b1cd16b49d22da97281b419d7e9.jpegHairs letting go here.

Causing this:IMG_2030.thumb.jpeg.5d688d434e175d92a012c2c3029de76b.jpegWhere previously I was able to pull this hair back and easily hide my barren crown.

This might only be the beginning…

The pictures are from Tuesday. It is worse today. It’s not too bad, tbh. I’ve seen worse.

Oh well. Thankfully, I can put in a hat.

The small price we pay for beauty.

Hopefully, the regrowth of these lost natives will present itself at 3-4 months and then I’ll see some growth from the transplanted hair soon after.  Hopefully.

    🤞🏻

For your age and from the 1 with hair pic I can see it’s perfect. You don’t want anything too aggressive because it doesn’t look natural.

Also with only 1400 grafts used too you’ve got a lot still in the tank (should you have further recession of you native hair).

I agree with this. @fsu2012, if you’re hair loss has stabilized then sometimes a doctor will go back later and work with you on design but Dr. Munib really has an eye for hairline design and how each hairline shapes each individual face. This is top notch!

  3. Yesterday I drove to Houston to see Dr. Arocha for my 2 week check-up. He was very happy with how everything looked. I’ve worked very hard to get everything clean with the help of my wife.

It was 16 days since the HT so the doc went ahead and pulled the sutures out. It was such an immediate relief. The pressure was just…gone. 🙂 So so nice to have them out.

The last time the sutures were pulled out was somewhat painful, however, I did have an infection in the scar. This time around there was no pain at all. Just relief.

Here is what the scar looks like tonight:IMG_2004.thumb.jpeg.6a4c7c93718b8b833aee32d9d60b7764.jpegIMG_2003.thumb.jpeg.432c4b73f2d83bd81f3356b6206fe482.jpegIMG_2005.thumb.jpeg.c69d5f805e915f7265100a559ed5909c.jpegThis is really my first time seeing it. The last pic I posted was the only other time but I  have no feelings about what it looks like just yet. Only the coming months will tell.

I can certainly say that it looks better than it did at this time the last time I had the strip pulled and the scar was still hot with infection, bumpy, and crusty.

Here’s last time at 2 weeks post-op:IMG_2006.thumb.jpeg.dfaced38dc21e3680164be53737f7f8e.jpegDrastically different than now.

Again. I have no feelings toward this. I have always maintained that once I feel that I have met my goals I would throw 200-300 grafts in the scar to help conceal it and in the meantime I’m just going to continue to wear my hair a little longer.

I guess I do hope that with better management of the scar, this time around, it will be a little slimmer and I can cut my hair at the same length that I was cutting it pre 2nd HT. We’ll see, though. The next month will tell me what I should expect moving forward.

I’ll post again at 1 month.

    Until then, be good people.

  4. As a patient of this doctor, I can say, having first hand experience, that the doctor does as  LaserCaps says and places grafts at an angle that follows the curve of your natural hair shaft(s). The grafts are not placed strictly at a downward angle. That just is what it is. Like it or leave it.

I don’t see any red flags here. I don’t see the hair as having been placed at an upward angle but rather as having been styled in a way that forces the hair shaft up. It’s clear from the pictures that the patient uses product in his hair.

There’s clearly improvement from a transplant that was produced 11 years ago. Within that time the patient has more than likely lost some ground and was happy enough with the results of the first transplant that he’s coming back for seconds. That’s really all that matters-the happiness of the patient.

I’ve said this on far too many occasions on this forum and it’s always the guys who haven’t been here for very long who keep doing it. It’s great to ask questions when something looks out of place.

What is not appropriate is making fun of the patient’s results like a petulant child. The patient is a member of the community. Show some respect. You wanna ask the clinic or the doctor a question, go for it. You wanna poke at the patient and his/her results like a bully then please go back to Reddit. You don’t belong here.

At the very least go create your own thread and try not to be so shortsightedly thick about saying dumb things in the doctor posted results. You might as well be pointing and laughing at the patient himself.

In the next couple days I’m going to really work on getting rid of the remains scabs, anyone have hints on that?

I just kept my head under the shower head for about 30 minutes until the scabs became soft. Then I took a conditioner and put it on and left it for another 30 minutes, staying in the shower to keep the moisture on the scabs.

Some guys will put the conditioner on first and then hop in the shower.

Once they’re nice and soft just start pulling them down gently with the tips of your fingers. It took me 2 good tries to get everything off.

You’re just a week behind my second transplant. I had an FUT on 11/1 but I’m a big fan of Dr Nader. Looking forward to seeing you at 12 months!

    Happy growing!!

  6. Today marks 2 Weeks since I went in for my 2nd procedure, first pass at my crown. Other than a tender scalp and some pings and pangs coming from my sutures (which a couple of ibuprofen and Tylenol resolve easily) all has been going very well, I believe. I’m healing quite well. No lingering redness or bruising beyond the first couple of days post-op. It’s been, generally, unremarkable-which is awesome.

It’s still the earliest days, though, and I’m mentally prepared for whatever comes. There's been no shedding, which I didn’t have to deal with too much during my first pass, but still, I’m ready to throw that ball cap on!

I just hopped out of the shower so here are some wet hair pics.IMG_1908.thumb.jpeg.df7e3900c71202559b86f311c5b1547f.jpegIMG_1909.thumb.jpeg.ba1f073c773d0e7e27107212c153f737.jpegIMG_1910.thumb.jpeg.939039078a361041ed94102d93f48b65.jpegIMG_1911.thumb.jpeg.b84a9d32b200638b8dc0f047e231c739.jpegIMG_1912.thumb.jpeg.01df0f33d73c860bbcbf381d70ec3fb9.jpegIMG_1913.thumb.jpeg.990588fdbf6ee9c70cb74cadf8c266f4.jpegIMG_1914.thumb.jpeg.42ea70ba573201221d3bce1b41710e1c.jpegIMG_1915.thumb.jpeg.5fd9d6a27d70e5931bec90e29a4f083f.jpegIMG_1917.thumb.jpeg.75c4bc1dc9bf8dccebe4287c364ce2e9.jpeg

1 or 2 turned out a little potatoey but I thought it still gave a good idea of the shape of my hairline and the way my face is framed.

If you zoom in you can really get a good look at those grafts!

Here are a few dry pics:IMG_1963.thumb.jpeg.d1aabf903256e3816dbe094b96eb4379.jpegIMG_1971.thumb.jpeg.9d58a795d89419d913e88a685695d265.jpegIMG_1973.thumb.jpeg.5cb72916c5a5ad69f4fef422cba3be79.jpegIMG_1975.thumb.jpeg.0b4b09b6a77fe89e68cb1e09c2d6df1e.jpegIMG_1978.thumb.jpeg.754f1d672367c7ce996ae7a251f00bd1.jpegThat’s it for now. Not much to add at 2 weeks and it all looks the same as it did one week out.

I see Dr. Arocha on Friday for my first check up. I’ll try to get a shot of what this scar is gonna shape up to be around then. I have only seen it from the one picture that I took 2 days out and posted.

    I’ll be around. ✌🏻
