    Happy Easter 🐣 All

    6 Months update ;

    The months don’t be long passing by month once the dreaded ugly duckling phase passes ..I continue to use the cyclical hair vitamins provided by the clinic along with the continued use of 1mg Oral finasteride..ive muscled on through with the oral minoxidil though I’ve reduced the dose to 1.25 mg from 2.5 mg due to one to many palpitations for my liking ..it’s a really beneficial post HT med if you can tolerate it and I’d really suggest everyone to at least try it .

    What can I say thus far re my life changing procedure ..not much more really ..it’s like a fine wine ..it just keeps getting better and better with age ..temple points ,widows peak ,side part and crown all continue to improve along with density in general throughout. .

    All the stars seemed to have aligned for my HT journey and for that im very ,eternally grateful to everyone involved .

    @BHRClinic

    Dr Bisanga came to Warsaw, Poland 2 days ago. I had consultation with him, which was for free.

    He was heavely critisising this hair transplant.

    His main points

    - My hair transplant was made without a plan. It was like building a house without foundation.

    - Donor managment was bad and it didn't take into account future progression of baldness.

    - Hairline was made too low and it was a waste of precious grafts. In his opinion Caucasians have higher foreheads and my hairline shouldn't be lowered but made on the level of native hair.

    - HT on temples was mistake too. In his opinion  it was a waste of grafts and caucasians don't have such prominent hair on the temples. He said that maybe it can look great on instagram, but it's not natural.

    - He used some special device and calculated that i have 60+ grafts per cm/2 in donor area. He estimated that i have 3200 grafts in safe zone for future HT

    -He said that i have retrograde alopecia starting from the nape of the neck.

    - I have a lot of miniaturised, vellus hair on the midscalp and crown.

    - There is visible border between transplanted hair and nontransplanted, it looks very unnatural.

    - Next steps should be made carefully. He estimated that for 2HT i need 2500 grafts for midscalp and lateral humps. I asked him what about the crown. He said that if we had unlimited donor, crown work would require 3000 grafts.

    - He was talking about some differences between my beard hair and scalp hair. The pojnt was that my beard is not so good for HT.

    - He recommended switching from liquid minoxidil to oral minoxidil 5mg.

    - He recorded video to teach "How to not make HT in caucasian male".

    So generally, this information that 2HT for midscalp and lateral humps will pretty much use all of my left donor is worrying for me. What about the crown...

    This is photo that i received today from BHR clinic with message " We saw your topic on forum (hairrastoration). To be honest, we believe that the actual photos you have posted do not show the real picture, which unfortunately looks worse "

    Ultimately, it all depends on how you feel about your hair? Are you satisfied/happy etc? People will always talk, but you are wise enough to ignore the nay-sayers!!

  3. 4-Month Update

    I'm making decent progress at month 4, new hair is popping every day, and slowly the density in the transplanted area is getting better. I got a haircut few weeks back, and the back/donor seems to have recovered decently as well. I'll trim it down to a #1 next time to see how it looks, confident it will be just fine. The temples are getting better each day, and the beard hair in the crown are definitely of a thicker texture, but they are all growing out. I'm looking forward to the next few months for the density to get better, and rock my new look :D

    Month 4

    Things are definitely shaping up as I am thrilled with the progress so far! Everything from the design (especially the cowlick) to the hair growth, to the way the beard hairs (1,200 grafts) blend with scalp (Thanks Doc). Even in harsh lighting, when things are a little more see-through, I'm still content as for me it looks like acceptable cosmetic density. For me, it also helps that I am 49 in that everything looks age appropriate and salt & pepper hair aids as well.

    HTs are an illusion of density and as I learned from @Zoomster, a long time ago, when he posted after his 1st HT, that you need to style properly and take time for length to grow to shingle on top of each other; that is exactly what is happening now.

    Eugenix has built a reputation for serving high norwoods and I'm getting the impression that they know exactly where to add hair, and how much to add for those with advanced hair loss to build that illusion properly; it is the interior decorating that they seem to excel in to know what to put where and how much.

    Since it has been years since I actually brushed hair (lol), it took me a little bit to figure out how exactly it is done, but I think I figured out the side part/diagonal back comb witnessed from illusion master @Melvin- Moderatoris the best look for face framing and coverage. Brushing hair has become my ultimate pleasure :).

    Hopefully, all will continue to improve. I see small hairs in the hairline that have recently popped.

    So far, has this made a difference in my confidence and life satisfaction....Yes! One co-worker commented after 1 month "SLA, I love your new look" and most recently, "Your hair grows so fast!" I had a big chuckle inside thinking, "If she only knew!" I'll tell her one day.

    If all goes well, I will return to Eugenix around the 1 year mark to fill in the ~25% left to be done in the crown.

    Here are some photos to show the progress.
