  1. Dear Augustya, I am sorry that you`re strugling so much! However I don`t share your concerns to be honest. While some members estimated your required graft count quite low, I don`t agree with the calculation of 1978matt f.e. At first, you must consider that he only assumpted 15 cm b, which yet could be 5 cm too low. I also think that you need to lower your hairline by 1 1/2 centimerters at least in order to get a satisfying result. Lastly he presumpted only 40 grafts/sqcm, which imho is about 10-20 too low in order to get you a satisfying result with which you are so happy that you won`t consider to have a touch up later. For my easthetical sensation, this is not only to be recommended, but even required. Last evaluation should be if this would be ethical, and as I understood, you don`t suffer from hairloss at all, your age is appropriate and you have a good donor. So the calculation imo should not be "1cm x 15cm x 40 = 600 grafts maximum. So maybe the 500 estimate is about right." He even wrote "maximum"???, but f.e.: 18 (b) x 1 1/2 (h) x 55 (grafts/sqcm) = 1485, or f.e.: 17 (b) x 1 1/2 (h) x 50 (grafts/sqcm) = 1275 or f.e.: 19 (b) x 1 1 /2 (h) x 45 (grafts/sqcm) = 1260 Even if you take f.e.: 20 x 1 x 50 (f.e. 60 in the hairline and 40 behind), you`ll get the 2000. And I don`t think that was Dr. Bhattis last word, it was only a proposition. F.e. in my case, after looking at the pictures I sent to him, he estimated about 3000 grafts, while when examining me in person, he lowered it to the 2350 I finally got. So to conclude that Dr. Bhattis assumption is questionable is very questionable itself imo. I am sure if you would have asked further, he would have explained why he wants to transplant you this count. As I already mentioned in my thread, Dr. Bhatti would be the last person unethically trying to squeeze more money out of you, in contrary: He generally offers very competitive and affordable prices and could ask for more, as for my case, he excised a sebaceous gland for free and even unrequestedly ordered a laboratory test in order to analyze it, and provided me the result later via Email, all on his own extra cost. I can only speak for myself, but Dr. Bhatti is one of the most charming and generous persons I ever met in my life. I can understand the estimations that are lower, but they are are based on dimensions and density goals I personally would doubt whether you`ll get a result that is satisfying. However, everyone to his taste;-)
  2. Guys, I just come from updating my hairloss website with the three months story and pictures: Hair Restoration Journal for Questionmark - almost 3 months All new info is in the blog. Feel free to comment, even if you have some criticism, I would appreciate if you let me know. Just gimme some feedback :-)
  3. Thanks for the evaluation, Jo! Does anybody have any knowledge or even experience about a possible healing process in these kind of "pitting" cases?
  4. Just to add: There may come some additional swelling down, so you need to "replace" it (sorry for my english, I think you know what I mean) by pressing your fingers on the root of your nose, and then kind of pushing it axis symmetric and circularly towards the top and then to the side of your eyes, so the gravity can do you a service. You`re gonna figure it out for sure! You need to do that as often as possible (10 - 15 mintes should be fine), so it doesn`t get even worse today or tomorrow. In three days you`ll be fine! Just be strong now ;-)
  5. Efflux, wow that looks heavy! Ouch! But in a few days, you`ll be fine and laughing your axx off! A picture you can look at or show your loved ones when anybody is down ;-) Now you gotta go through it, I feel with you mate! Cheers and all the best!

  7. I understand your point, but you can think for yourself, too, can`t you? Just ask the docs which area they plan to cover with thr graft count they gave you, and you will have the density you`ll have. Also ask WHY do they advise this or that count, and make conclusions out of that. You also can just post some pics here and the community will help you in evaltuating your concerns. With the information given we can`t do so much, you understand?
  8. Why don`t you tell each surgeon what the other has said and ask them why would the other advise a different number of grafts? Just ask for an exhaustive explanation.
  9. Sorry? I don`t understand. Can you give us the background please? You think you need much less than some Dr. advised you? In case just post some pics so we can evaluate.
  10. Hi, you can find numerous threads about Dr. Bhatti when you use the search engine! As Mickey mentioned, he was considered for recommendation, but it was decided not to take him in the list "this time". I commented on this in my thread here: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/170355-my-experience-dr-tejinder-bhatti-2364-grafts-fue-restore-hairline.html I can assure you that you will make a good decision if you chose him, I am greatly convinced of his surgical skills and his ethics, it was just a pleasure to have the surgery being done by him, the overall experience was really great! If you have some additional questions, please don`t hesitate to PM me.
  11. I think I understand both sides and it was the prime example of a misunderstanding, but that`s what makes the world less boring, doesn`t it:) Let`s enjoy spring:cool:
  12. Yes, rub them off, after 5 weeks they should be gone. Hasn`t your surgeon briefed you on that? I can`t answer if growth will be affected after 5 weeks with scabs, but I don`t think you should worry about. Perhaps someone else can answer this?
  13. I only can emphasise these two last set-offs. To be honest I thought it was quite rude to critizise issues that imo are nearly (NW) or completely (donor) irrelevant to the purpose of this thread. For which reason? Why anyway pointing out that Jo knows the patient and his donor personally, when it actually is only for the newbies trying to inform themselves? I don`t think that anybody here would question the experience and expertise of Jo, so no need to have a go at each other, cause that`s what I feel is/was going here.
  14. So has the guy listed as "average" a better donor than the one listed as "above average"? Or do you think Mickey should take another picture? Anyway, I think I get your point, but as I said, this thread is not about knowing if he has got a worse quality/density than it may appear, but to help newbies out a bit. For those, the picture is quite significant. Hope you get my point, too, cheers!
  15. Jotronic, I think Mickey was referring to the donor quality, not only the donor density. Isn`t the quality determined by the density combined with hair characteristics such as caliber etc.? So while this gentleman may have an average count of grafts/area, imho he although has an above average donor due to his hair characteristics. Anyway, I think this is only to help absolute newbies to estimate roughly which donor quality they have, and I think the picture is more than adequate to this purpose.
  16. Future, thanks for telling me. I`ve seen some Youtubelinks here, so I didn`t know if all links are prohibited or only those which refer to other communities/are advertisement or such. Because the link I posted was only for informational purposes, so to enrich the community, I thought it would be allowed. Anyway I apologize, won`t happen again!
  17. Thanks for all the input yet, guys! Actually I think that there was taken too high, too, but that is only a minor concern in relation to the way the grafts were placed appearently. I am talking about the holes that can be seen. Here you can see a clip in which that is categorized as a medical malpractice (grafts placed too deep): **outside link removed** I am sorry if the link is not allowed, in case please just remove it, thanks. Unfortunately you can`t see the immediate post op picture, but every hole you see (there are also holes with yet no hair sprouting out) is a slit. Beside this, there is nothing to expect to grow out, so in conclusion the density is way too low and even let that alone, the patient will have to deal with scars, will he? So have any of you seen pictures (or even live patients) having such holes, and if yes, how was the healing? If it doesn`t heal, what would you do?
  18. Hi guys, it`s about following case: Hair Restoration Journal for MMchen - 4 months post HT (FUE) The gentleman got 1500 grafts via FUE in order to fill in the corners in a german clinic. He has posted on a german forum and has got numerous replies from users that expressed several concerns regarding the size of the donor holes, the density placed in the bald areas, and foremost the holes seen in the recipient area. I advised him to post his pictures on here due to the given expertise here. Unfortunately, one can not open the thread on the german forum with more and bigger pictures in it unless one is registered. If you could see that link **outside link removed** , you would see that there are only 3-4 grafts placed per squarecentimeter in important areas like the hairline and behind. I don`t know how to upload pics into a post, so if anybody can help me out with that, would be highly appreciated. I know this patient is only 4 months post op, and I advised him to wait a couple of months before getting anxious about the result, but I am however quite concerned about the before mentioned issues, so that the HT procedure itself had been executed in a way that imho a satisfying result would not be possible even if there would have been 0 % transection. So I would welcome everybody to express their opinions, namely Bill, David, Blake, Jotronic, Spex, Mickey and all those other experts on here:-) What do you think about the size of the donor holes, which possible conclusion could one make about the punch (size) used here? Also, what do you think about the density placed? Lastly, I fear that the grafts were inserted way too deep in the slits (or the slits were made too large or both), so we can see quite visible holes now. What is your opinion on that, and also do you know of any case in which this ocurred, too? Can the patient expect the holes to disappear completely or will he be scarred for life? Thank you so much, kind regards! EDIT: 30 views, ain`t you got an opinion? You`re welcome to express it, don`t be shy.
  19. Oh, I didn`t know that. Perhaps you can create your own s.c. "hair loss website". You can find the start here: Hair Restoration Social Network - Hair Loss Patient Blogs Many thanks and greetings from Germany!
  20. Well you should be :-) It`s a monster result altogether! Did you not take any pictures of your progress? I am sure it would be interesting and helpful to lots of hair loss sufferers on here. Could you also upload a/some clearer shot(s) of your result, the ones you have posted lack of resolution somehow. Thanks so much in advance and all the best!
  21. Please post some pictures of your progress, as well as a picture of the crown work done. Also, I think you must have been put on fin since your HT, is that possible?
  22. Hi Gradius, how is it going? Just a quick update would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  23. Bobilero, where do you have got that information from? I am quite interested in why is that, has anyone an explanation?
  24. Cantdecide, you seem to have had a very nice transformation according to your 12 month picture on your blog. Do you have any more/clearer pictures to show us, that would be highly appreciated! Thanks!
