  1. scar5, long time no see, good to have you back:) I really don't understand either you like it or not. For me , his hairline looks far much better than his before.
  2. Ops, I understand that you went to consult and been said you are not a candidate for a ht. English is not my native lang , sorry
  3. hi there, As now i started to seriously consider smp with milena , i come up with more and more questions. Milena's work started to impress me day by day and i'm definately going to choose her but i need to find out about this. Her work seems quite superb but my preference for the hairline design would definately be broken hairline. this is the main concern for smp from the day 1 and there are some talks about it on the HIS clinic forum. The owner of the HIS had a laser session to have his hairline more jagged. I was never impressed with their work but their forum is really good. Back to my point, I looked at all Milena's results on italian forum but never found out a broken hairline . I post some pictures of non- balding people with buzzed/shaved look. Don't look at the length, hairline type , or who he is:) Just notice that their hairline is not "perfect" in terms of "straightness. Also i am posting a link of Dr. Alexander's work . Hairthere mentioned me about this when we talked so that also might be a good example. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/167760-3096-grafts-frontal-third-dr-alexander.html
  4. Even with the best docs , there is an chance of "shockloss" and your native diffused hairs on top may not grow back . I am sorry to be a bad cop on this , i am a diffuse thinner myself however. But like everyone said , it does not mean that you can t have a ht. Bonkerstonker was a diffuse thinner and he got 6k grafts from dr. Hasson. It is not impossible , but it has always have that risk.
  5. My condition is similar my friend . I was just starting to open a thread about myself that which one i should do first, fue or smp but then i saw your thread:) My opinion is to go for the smp first. I listened to joe& spex interview with spencer kobren last week ( which is i highly recommend to everyone) that joe said a thing ; there is always a factor of "shockloss" even with the best docs out there. So if you start with a fue , maybe you end up in a worse place than you are right now. Also since milena's work is temporary , it would be gone at most in 24 months. When i weigh those options , i for myself find starting with smp seems more secure to me. But thats just my option , hope this helps .
  6. Msh89 , Do you mind sharing some pictures please?
  7. fitnessjunkie, My situation is the same like you. 26 years old and nw6 hairloss. My crown is slightly better than yours but the hairline is terrible, supporting the buzzed/shaved look like you. Here are my thoughts considering that you keep on going with a short cut; buzzing/shaving is the best way to deal with the hairloss in the first place. And I think it is the best look for higher nw levels. Although there are some great examples of complete restoration such as bobman and jotronic, I personally think that if you are going for nw 6 , even in complete restorations crown will be thin. If you didn't have a crown loss and even if you don't have any hair on front, i'd definately say that go to rahal or h&w because you can (and most probably will) get your hair back. But with you i honestly think it is nearly impossible. The idea of fue +smp has been in my head for 3 years. Believe me , 3 years ago no one was considering (or talking it on the forums) something like that. But with greater fue doctors coming around and especially after joe's and spex's introduction of Milena Lardi , this "idea" started to come up more and more. Also it started to make sense for some reasons ; 1- Many high norwood people are comfortable with the buzz cut and want to get a hairline that frames his face, 2- Even with high graft count strip cases, there are some "sweet spots" that buzz cutters don't like or prefer, 3- Achieving a "5 o'clock shadow" looks makes a huge difference than being completely bald 4- The support of 2 great ethical ,honest guys (Joe and Spex) to Milena's smp changed the perception to the consept of micro pigmentation on the forums. So i think what you need to do is research. That is exactly what i am doing these days. There not many sources about this type of procedure (fue +smp combo) but check out the italian forum that has many pictures of milena's work. If you can , do a face to face consultation with FUE doctors , my recomandations would be Dr. Lorenzo like MoeyK said, Dr. Bisanga , Dr. Rahal , Dr. Feller, Dr. De Reys. Also nowadays I am trying to reach Dr. Koray from Turkey. In Milena's web site he has a link to his clinic, i really don't know if they are affiliated , i mailed to them but got no answer yet. If they are and he knows or performed a fue +smp combo , that would be a huge plus to consider him . So , these are my thoughts. I am excited to see someone on the forums that searces for the same thing as I do , if there are more , unitee!!! Edit: Also there is a guy named "feelzgood" on this forum who had a 4k procedure with Dr. Armani. I wouldn't recommend to doc but his result turned out great and there are pictures of him buzzed cut. He is on of my dream result.
  8. i was just trying to guestimate my graft availibility via fue.
  9. We all know that the graft numbers are lower than fut but what is the average graft availibility for a nw6? I am planning on fue+ smp combo and i think 4000 grafts is capable of achieving what i need. More is always welcomed but i don't think i have that kind of donor. Pics are my donor , what do you guys think?
  10. i smoke 1 pack a day so i am really curious about it. anyone here who is a smoker had a ht? s2thoudriver, were you smoking regularly? Anything about nicotine patches?
  11. whacked, i am so sorry for your experience , hope you got well after laser sessions. Could you please tell more about it? Is that the hairline you didn't like it or the procedure overall? Any difference between sides and the top? Could you share us some pictures?
  12. Hairthere, Please share some infoo!!! how does it look on a full blown and on a diffuse thinner ? What are your observations? I have many many questionss!
  13. Hairthere, Did you see it on a bald head or on the diffuse thinner?
  14. Hello all, For the business purposes , i am currently attending a fashion exhibition in paris. Visitors are mostly men , so it s hair viewing time for me Today as i was walking in the place , i saw a man (probably italian or spainish) who is nw6 had done fue. İ am pretty sure that it is fue since his hair is buzzed really short and no visible strip scars. İ am guessing that he was post op between 6-8 months and all the work is done in the frontal area. The hairline design is pretty good ,not too high not too low. But the midde and crown area had nowork done , maybe some that i dont see because of the strong spot lightning. The most important thing is that i think he really tried to achieve what i want with my hair restoration and probably he did. He managed to achive the 5 o'clock shadow in his hairline that really framed his face. İ mean even with that low cut , it makes a whole a lot of difference in his look. Many people may say that its not worth it compared to a "h&w nw 6 transformation" but for a hair inspectors like us, it is a night and day change. and i thought with an addition of milena's smp work, it could be excellent. So , if there are some bald buzz cutters like me out there who are thinking of a hairline to frame his face with fue, i saw someone that actually did work out! İt gave me a lot of hope for me really ,since i am considering something like that. Anyway , just to share my opinion , sorry for the long post, just my 2 cents
  15. Aim4hair, Congrats on your procedure , hope everythong goes well . Just a couple of questions ; - have ever spoken about situation of full blown nw6 with this technique? İ mean what can be achieved? -did you choose your hairline or the doctors suggested? -how was the procedure overall??
  16. Joe, Thank you for the quick and honest answer. Hope you are well by the way:) Now , i'd like to tell to you and both spex how i feel about this and need to correct myself if im wrong; İ have been looking for the option of smp for 3 years now and i have seen many pictures and read many articles about it. İ got in contact with 2 of the major clinics and saw one of their practioner who had the procedure (HİS clinic in London). İ was always seeking the question of to have a look of a diffuse thinner with a good hairline, not for a skin head razor shaved too much densty look, subtle and non noticable change that no people can recognise but makes me happy in myself. Until you guys mentioned Milena , i could not get what i want from other clinics. The first time i saw the results of her i really didnt like it. Procedure seemed very "yelllowish" and it looked like the pigments does not match with the follicles on the sides. But more and more results i have seen and especially after yesterday that spex put skr's result , i am nearly sure that Milena is doing something slightly different from other smp companies. She creates sort of a "depth" on a bald scalp. İ am not saying dots are 3 dimensional , but the area she worked on ( i am talking for a nw6 completely bald cases) gains a perception of depth. İ guess she is doing it by not trying to match the exact replication of the real follicle on the sides. So with this, her results are best seen between the length of 0.1- 0.5 mm. Maybe its not "straight " and sharp looking as the other companies results , but between those lengths , it does not look " awkward" . Maybe thats why all the results in italian forum the patiens have slightly longer hair on sides. She wants to see the average color in the lengths of 0.1- 0.5 mm and trying to match it. İ may sound stupid and crazy or i am just making some conspiracy theories but from my observations , i really like to believe that this is the fact that you guys liked about Milena's work. So the question is, am i right???? Ps: the lengts that i mentioned are on one of the milenas post s in italian forum . İ google translated it, feel free to translate my post to Milena if she is still in US.
  17. srk735, first of all congrats for your procedure and your head definitely looks a lot better!! spex, Thank you for sharing the pictures they are really helpful. Based on the result , I have some questions. 1- So it looks like TP can create a 3-D illusion event with that low density. So is there a huge difference of applying the procedure to a full blown nw6 and a diffuse thinner even that low density? In my opinion, it does so I just want your opinion. 2- If so , should a full blown nw6 have a fue first then smp in order to have the best look with buzzed rather than razor shaved??
  18. There are many variables that can change the result of the procedure. However, I think most of the people here are mostly curious about is it detectable and how long can you use your hair. Joe had made a comment about it in previous threads and here is what I think ; Beauty Medical, Milena Lardi says that her work achieves sort of "3-d" look and the best result of her work can be seen between the length of 0.1-0.5 mm. So this means that her SMP does not require razor shaving, I use a clipper with 0.1 mm length and shave my head once a week. When I look at Milena's results on italian forums , i noticed that many of the clients had their treatment with their natural hairs relatively longer than other SMP companies (I am talking about full blown nw6-7's) and I see that the treated area and the sides have a contrast difference. My question is, Is this her trick to make her work look more 3-D based? I mean if the patient shaves his head with 0.1 mm clipper , it looks the best. However, when it comes at 0.5 mm , it doesn't look "weird" but looks like a diffuse thinner. Is this what Spex and Joe excited about Milena's work rather than others? I mean when you look at other companies such as HIS , GLI , NHI it looks good with a certain length ,with HIS it is razor shaved. After 2-3 days when your real hair grows, it is impossible to hide your "tattoo" because it becomes evident. I may sound silly or stupid but I just like to understand the procedure and what can be accomplished with it.
  19. Bill, Thank you for getting in touch with Joe. I am sure he will inform us about the procedure. On the other hand, since I am very interested in having a SMP , for the last couple of weeks I've been looking over and over to Italian forums that there are plenty of Milena's results. Honestly to say , I am trying to convince myself that her work is the best , I simply can't. The results all seem very "yellow" and the dots are relatively smaller than the real follicles. Also I really don't get how they can achieve the 3-d look. I know both Joe and Spex are the good and honest guys in this industry and I can trust on their judgement. They all have seen many SMP results from different clinics and they both say that the Milena's work looks most realistic. Also, the good part is that it is non-permanent so this means it's not there forever. So Bill, what do you personally think about Milena's works compared to others and what are the best SMP results you have seen? Just curious:) SRK, Sorry if I hijacked your thread , best of luck with your procedure and hope everything goes well! Don't forget to inform us!
  20. Guys, The photos of Dr.Hasson are on the Italian forum but i can't seem to find Joe's , I hope Joe put his pictures up here.
  21. Mickey, I mean there is some white dots in donor areas but recipent seems ok , do you mean donor or recipent???
  22. Janna, In Dr.Lorenzo's videos it is seen that fue can be used with the buzz cut with no clipper grade. Also many other fue doctors say that if the patient ok with the white dots in the donor area, fue can be used with shortest haircuts. What is your opinion about this?
  23. What!!!! Joe and Dr. Hasson had smp???? Did i understand that correctly?????? Pics immediately!!!
