  1. Scar5, First of all I know you would understand and not take this as an attack , so thank you. Secondly, I don't know where but Dr.Rassman stated that it will eventually change color over the course of time. So hearing it from someone who applies permanent ink makes it offical that it will turn blue/green.
  2. scar5, I went to Milan just to see Milena's work because there was this dilemma in my mind ; Milena's result's in Italian forum does not seem "good" when compared to other companies results. On the other hand, there were Joe and Spex talking on and on about it. At that time, both were not business wise involved in it. I personally both know how they are against smp. Then spex become consultant and I talked with him maybe a million times via pm and even on the phone. I talked with Joe about it. I mean was really confused telling myself " I really don't like what I see in pictures but there is this two credible guys saying to me you should see in person" ,so that's why I went. Seeing is believing and I have zero business relation with Milena and what I tell you is it looks great and nothing like the other SMP. Also , I have to disagree with you about your car example. I personally asked Milena that will you ever you permanent ink or an ink that will last more than 2 years. She told me that 2 year period is the optimum time for the ink formula. Making it last more than that means it changes color over time. So the time period have not come from business purposed decisions, it comes from the limitation of the formula. Also, you are critising a "win-win" situation. Personally speaking, I don't want a "permanent" tattoo on my head. It is now offical that it will turn blue/green. Also having it temporary gives me the idea of "what's to lose?" . I mean I can't imagine how i feel when I'll have something on my head that I didn't like and won't go away and will turn blue/green. Don't get me wrong, I am still considering of having it. You might say "why you still haven't done it if you are so sure about it?" . That's because I'm not lets do it type of guy. But I know that if I'm gonna do it , I'm doing it in Beauty Medical. I know you are looking it more business driven base and I respect that . I also have my own company and in many cases I look into nearly everything at that point . But believe me, this is not one of the aspects that you should look in. Hope I made myself clear.
  3. So I went, I saw and I conquered! Here's my journey; I went to Beauty Medical on Saturday afternoon after a very long friday night at Milan, believe me guys partying in Milan is great:) So my consultation with Dr. Wong was actually on sunday but i asked Joe if I could also come on saturday to see and talk with Milena about smp and he said no problem . After finding the place, I remember myself at the door feeling nervous. "What if Dr.Wong says I'm not a candidate?" "What if i don't like the smp ?" .Then I said to myself "this is why you are in Milan now. They both are the best of what they are doing , just knock the door you idiot!". So I went in. I saw Joe upstairs working on something on computer. I introduced myself and he said "finally, nice to meet you buddy!". He is such a great guy to talk to. By the way , his ht, like everyone who met him says it is much better than in pictures. I mean noone even a ht researcher guy can say he had something done. He quickly started looking at my head, density , laxity etc.. After a minute (it felt like an hour to me for sure) he said "you have plenty of hair buddy, I don't think you need a ht right now if you use your hair that short". I was like "you sure ?" and Dr. Wong came right away to examine my situation The guys who haven't met Dr.Wong probably imagine him as quiet, calm guy ,you know what you are right! He came in and Joe introduced us and he instantly started examining my head. He said "if you want a ht, 3000 grafts would probably work for you". I was really excited that moment and asked him "So I am a candidate? No donor thinning? " He said " No, your donor is above average between 80-85 f/cm2 and laxity is also above average ". After the examination we talked with Joe and Dr. Wong about proscar use and Dr. Wong said if I don't have any side effects, don't ever quit. I said i don't but all the men in my family are nw5-6. He smiled and said " But they didn't have proscar". Joe told me about how important is to maintain and stabilize your hairloss. I got my lesson:) Afterwards, we went downstairs with Joe to talk with Milena about smp. Believe me guys, Milena is not only a sweet lady , she is damn beautiful:) I asked her about smp a lot and Joe translated them in English , oh I'm sorry Joe's phone translated . After couple of minutes I asked if I can see someone with the result , Joe told me that Milena's brother Alessandro has a patient inside having the procedure and we can go and check out. I was like so excited and went into the room. Here it is, a guy having a smp in front of me. I can't tell how nervous I was. The guy who was having the procedure was Italian living in Barcelona and came there by his car (3000 km's ) just to have the procedure. By the way, he was such a good guy to let us watch him having smp. After he is done , I saw his head nearly from all angles and all lighing conditions. I have seen the HIS clinic's results in person and I was not impressed at that time. But this Milena does is something different. The guy who had the smp at that time has his sides long, but smp does not look weird or odd. The guys who are researching about smp know that other clinics are very strict about shaving your head with zero blade everyday , but when I talked with Milena , she said " Our smp looks best between 0.1 and 0.5 mm". She looked at my head and said I can use my hair like that with smp , then I told him this is my 1 week long hair and I didn't shave just because Dr. Wong consult and shaving it 0.1 mm. She smiled and said " then your's will be perfect." . We talked on about smp with Joe and many other things such as FUE, his transplant, how he met Milena etc. I know this may be written over and over but I have to say this; I spend with him more than an hour and after examining my head, he never said a world about ht unless I ask him. He never tried to sell or push me toward ht. He was true and honest about everything he said. I even said to him I was planning on fue and he said "yes, if you want to keep using your hair like that, you should definately get fue , and by the way go to Dr. ....." He also recommended me some doctors! I mean no one would do that. So , I promised that I'll ask Milena about SMP so here are the answers. 1-How does the 3-d effect works? I really didn't ask Milena about this but after I saw it in person, it works! . I mean it is something way much different than other smp procedures. 2- Does Minoxidil accelarates the fading out of pigmentation? Yes. She said minoxidil contains alcohol so this speeds up the fading process. 3- Can they apply more broken hairlines? She said yes and showed some pictures clients who had a broken hairline approach, they looked great. 4-Does smp damages the native hair ? No, it is not. Joe told me that needle is not going too deep to damage a follicle. 5-How does the ink stand up to harsh lighting? This is aaron1234 question and from what I saw, it looks great. I mean don't forget that it is not real hair so it is nearly invisible in harsh lightings but it does not look weird or bad at all. 6-Color tones? She uses different tones for different hair colors. When I told her that other clinics use only black and they insist that when hair gets grey it doesn't look different, she just laughed and said "impossible". 7-Are they going to use permanent ink or ink that lasts more than 2 years? She told me that in permanent ink , the dots that are applied are going to get bigger after a while because ink gets dissolved. So she does not want to use a permanent ink . I asked her about an ink that will last more than 2 years, she said the dissolving starts nearly after two years so the ink they use is perfect for their practise. What do I think about smp ? I have been researching about smp for 2 years now and after I saw HIS results last year, I was very disappointed about this. But this is totally different. This is excellent. In my opinion difference comes from the approach of the work ; Other clinics approach it to have the exactly same dot as on your sides and try it to look perfect when you shave your head every single day, so making a "skinhead" look . But Milena's techniques basicly offers this ; I am not trying to match with existing hair, I am using your scalp as a canvas that will look like you have hair and it doesn't look weird between 0.1 and 0.5 mm. At 0.5 mm , if you are full nw 6, you will look like a diffuse thinner but not odd. So this is an excellent choice for the one who use their hair short. So , sorry for the long post . But I am so glad that I went to Milan and see it in person. Meeting with Milena, Joe and Dr. Wong has been an great for me. I want to thank them all and made me hopeful again about my hair restoration.
  4. Hairthere, I am going to ask this question to Milena but i want to ask it to you also. I just shaved my head to 0.1 mm yesterday and while i was looking at my frontal zone, I noticed that my follicle "size" is much more bigger than dots that Milena applies. Is there only one specific tool that she uses or does this also depend on patients hair characteristic?
  5. Dr. Doganay , Are there any examples of your work that are classified as higher nw levels such as 4,5,6 ? I am turkish as myself , if you want i can pm you in Turkish:)
  6. aaron, 3 of them are written down don't worry, excellent questions in my opinion:)
  7. As I had planned and be in Milan next week, anyone who are interested in SMP and Milena's work , just put your questions here and ill try to ask her as much as i can and write down the answers when i get back , cheers!
  8. fitness, Sure i will ask her , also anyone who wants to ask anything about it just tell me
  9. Thanks Bill, yes meeting Joe, Dr. Wong and Milena would be great , I'll definately post my experience. Tommy, I travel to Milan 4-5 times a year for business (fashion:)) so it won't be touristic i guess.
  10. Looks great. Dr.Doganay do you work with higher nw cases ? If so , could you share some examples with us?
  11. Thanks guys ! Spex, I'd definately want to thank you more than everyone because if I haven't talked with you maybe million times aobut SMP, I would have never found the courage to go and see it in person . You always informed me as soon as I reached to you , I may be one of the reasons that you quit representing Beauty Medical but I owe you big big one , I know that.
  12. Hey guys , After talking with Joe couple of minutes ago it became official, I am going to have a consultation with Dr.Wong in Beauty Medical Clinic in Milan at 17th and 18th november!! I am so so so excited and nervous about this. First of all , I couldn't miss this chance that Joe and Dr. Wong are coming that near and since I am a big SMP researcher , I was planning a visit to Milan just to see Milena's works . So it is more than two birds with one stone for me:) I know I shouldn't get nervous because I am not going to have smp or a ht there, but I am really scared that if Dr. Wong tells me that I am not a good candidate for ht. For the last one year, I am really leaning towards fue but this is a opportunity that I will regret missing it ; having a consult with one of the best ht doctors no matter what his technique is. Also, we talked with Joe via forum threads , pm , online consultation etc.. many times. When I started researching about ht, he and his story inspired me and always gave me hope that I can find peace with my hairloss. He never tried to "sell" me anything , all the time he was honest and guided me excellently through my research. So meeting him in person will be great and my biggest expectation is that I could convince him to have a couple of beer with me, just to chat about anything but hairloss:) So , my journey begins in 16th of november, don't worry guys I will update hopefully with pictures, wish me luck!
  13. Yes, I sort of talked with her via spex , but i think i 'll find out about that more when I visit them in Milan when Joe and Dr. Wong are there
  14. Dr.Mohebi , Thank you for your reply. I know every individual is different in maybe every aspect and most importantly in results. However, what I am trying to point out is that nearly none of the ht patients or potential ht searchers are looking for the option for this type of buzz cut. Of course , fue is already a new topic for this community for this reason. This is my way to say that there is a potential option for anyone who prefers to use his hair shorter. And the most important thing I am trying to point of is the comparison between the no of grafts. One is nearly 7-8 k and the other is just 2500. When the hair grows , the difference is obvious. However, with this buzz cut, the difference is not that big. So , it gives me hope that guys like me who prefers buzz cut and looking for a ht just to frame his face can certainly benefit this type of procedure.
  15. My 2 cents, The claim "300 grafts to 3k" is quite big and risky. Honestly, ı dont think he is trying to fool anyone or something like that but if us, ht researchers hear something like that, we know that this is the weakest point of ht industry ( limited donor zone) and this becomes not just some important issue, it becomes the most important issue. I really dont know the doc, haven t seen any of his results. But i should aggree with taking the plunge , if that would be real , it would definately be the mainstream. So I really hope he achieves his claims because that would be beating the achilles heel of the whole ht industry. But for me it s simple ; " no pictures or it didnt happen"
  16. Maybe the greatest example ; Alex De Souza , football (sorry soccer:) )player . He always shaves/buzzes his head , you can google him to find more pics
  17. Spanker, I like what I see on the photos regarding the middle section of the head. Being it temporary is a big plus also. However, I want to see some results in person in order to decide whether I really like it or not. By the way, as far as I know she doesn't speak English.
  18. Nowadays, I closely follow the Italian forum that has plenty of Milena Lardi's smp results. As I was browsing through sections I saw a guy with a buzz cut before his 2nd fue operation with Dr. Koray. And I constantly remembered Bill's picture of him before the h&w procedure. Just to show you my point , the guy who had fue only have 2500 grafts on his frontal. I really don't know how much Bill got before h&w but I know it's much more. But the thing is, when you buzz your hair , difference is not that big. You can achieve a frontal hairline with smaller no of grafts. Of course, I am not comparing the results with longer hair. What do you guys think ?
  19. Blake, That's what i was talking about , thank you for explaining it more sophisticated:) I don't live in a country where there are a lot of african decent people but i do travel 3-4 times a year to europe and I noticed that straight , drawn hairlines are much more belongs to them. However, for the white people there is always a irregularity in their hairlines. I also go to HIS forum and this is one of the major topics on there too. For this SMP to be perfect and undetectable , the hairline needs to be imperfect, thats my point. I really do like Milena's results , being it temporary is a big big plus however, if I were on her chair , ı'd definately ask for a more jagged hairline that I haven't seen in her work .
  20. Since noone has the interest in the topic, i guess i am going to talk with myself:) I am really interested in having smp with Milena however while I was looking to her results in italian forum , i really don't see any broken hairlines. Anyone has an idea/thought??
  21. Mickey, I was not referring to the length between eyebrows and hairline, just that the design of it. Lowering it makes things much more complicated and harder , but if the patient is going to support buzz cut , better hairline in terms of design and temple closure becomes much more important. I guess he is really listening his patients needs about it. Because I really don't see even some strip doctors do such a hairline with such a hairloss even with many more grafts than he applies. That's what I ment by the hairline.
  22. Agree with mickey. I am also waiting response from Dr.Erdogan, when he does I'll probably go to istanbul since it is one hour flight from where I live. Also I am planning to go to milan for beauty medical to see the results. I was talking with spex about this and I thought I wouldn't jump on it without seeing results. So ill do a short trip to milan to see it. Mickey, have you seen dr.erdogan's results in italian forum? There are many hairline examples for higher nw scales and seems to me that he doesn't do one type of ht to every patient, I guess he really listens what the patient wants and especially how they gonna use their hair and plan the hairline according to that. Its just a guess though , the scenario I want to believe in:)
  23. Mickey85, Thanks for the quick response. I wonder how he approaches to the guys who want to have a buzz cut to frame his face for higher nw levels. It seems like he is dealing with nw5-6 's , i wonder if he can plan a ht for a smp combo also.
  24. I saw his results while I was looking at Milena Lardi's smp on the italian forum. I looked at his results and noticed that he is generally dealing with high nw cases. When patients have their hair long , his results looks 5-6 out of 10 but when patient have a shorter haircut , it really looks good. He only does FUE by the way. The other thing that I noticed that in Beauty Medical's web page , there is his clinic's link. I don't know if they are affiliated , I mailed to them and they replied to me that they are closed until 25th October. He got my attention in 2 ways; the way he deals with patiens (higher nw's for shorter buzz cuts) and his relation with Beauty Medical. I really don't know what their connections are , but if there is any , maybe he knows or already done procedures for smp+fue combo. That would be a big plus for me. However, there is no case of him doing smp+fue on the italian forum. So anyone knows about him ? Anyone had a procedure? I'll try to get info from him, since he is Turkish our communication will be much easier:) Also , I go to Istanbul once in a month so once I got an answer , I'm sure I'll definately go for a consultation.
