Thanks. When i did my search Dr. Feller came up but the threads where like 5 years old on PRP. There was this big thing about PRP on Good Morning America the other week. The last couple of doctors I have met with all recommend a strip HT procedure which I do not want to do (been there done that twice). I will look into it more and contact Dr Feller ' s office.

What top doctors in the New York and Connecticut area do platelet rich plasma for hairloss?? I am a NW 3-4 and I am exploring the option of getting PRP. Has anyone on this board received PRP therapy? Any results?

Thanks for the response guys. I have initiated contact with Dr. True on possibly doing BHT. It's great to be able to communicate with a top doctor like him through email. I am not used to this because other doctor offices give you no chance to communicate with the doctor without an appointment. I am very reluctant to use my face for BHT because I stay clean shaving and don't want anymore scaring on scalp or face. I just feel like I am in a real jam here not sure what to do anymore. If I shave my head I would need to get more micro pigment tattooing into both my scars. If I go HT way I do not have a lot of donor hair and don't want another strip that 2 other top docs have recommend. That is why I am looking into BHT.

I haven't been in here I a long time. I am 38 years old losing my hair since 21 probably a NW 3-4. I have had 2 strip scar surgeries done by a below average HT doctor over 10 years ago. I recently had an appointment with a top doc to see what my options are. He explained to me that I do not have a lot of donor hair left. This doctor also has a FUE machine but recommended for me to get another strip surgery removing one of my old scars and adding 1500 grafts up top. At this point in my life I do not want to get another strip scar or even FUE because I don't want anymore scars, cuts, or hairs pulled out of my scalp. I have had micro pigment tattooing into my scars and some times use derma match into scars to be able to buzz it down with a 1 1/2 guard. I have started doing research on BHT in America and only can find Dr. Umar in California. I live on the East coast do that is kind of a hike. Does anyone in here know of any other doctor on the east coast near NY that also does BHT???

Not everyone has the wealth to keep spending $$$ on HT that's why a lot guys move on. It's a bad economy if you haven't heard. I would love to know how the HT industries even surviving with their ridiculous prices during these times.

I didn't know your situation until I read this post. If you want to continue shaving your head I think the best choice would be micropigment tattooing into scar. If you decide to get another HT then a good doctor could implement old scar into a new scar or FUE. I'm in the same situation as you but haven't shaved my head yet and not sure what I'll do after I get tattooing into my scars.

Is BHT really that bad? I just mentioned BHT because I really don't want anymore scars on my head. I have meet with 2 coalition doctors about my 2 old strip scars. Dr. Dorin told me their wasn't much he could do to improve the scars. Dr. Feller said my scars are to low to put another strip scar into. Dr Feller also said he could put FUE into old scars but wasn't 100% sure if it would make a big improvement. My scars are thin, top scar 6" long ear to ear, bottom scar 4" long. I decided to go with getting micropigment tattooing into scars so I can buzz my hair down with a 1# guard or even less. I'm a NW3 so either I'm just going to shave my head save $10,000 or get another HT on top front of my head that Dr. Feller recommended about 2500 grafts. If the micropigment tattoo looks really good on my scars I might just say the hell with it and do the rest of my bald spots to look like a crew cut.

Is their any doctors in the North East area that use BHT other than chest hairs? Can BHT be used from let say the upper thigh leg? Want to get another HT but I'm all done getting anymore scars on my frickin head including FUE. Going next month to get micropigment tattooing into 2 old strip scars that look like hair stubbles.

I'm getting my 2 old strip scars tattooed by Melany Whitney soon. Has any had or know someone who had tattooing done by M. Whitney? I know she has a great reputation of being excellent at tattooing and also made appearances on shows like Dr. Oz. After I get the tattooing done I supposedly can buzz my hair down with a 1# guard or even closer. I have done a lot of research on micropigmentation tattooing and it looks like really works. I have even seen pics online of people getting their entire bald heads done so it looks like they have full coverage looks like a crew cut. What do you guys think about this?

Hey Future_HT_Doc, If you go look up The Whitney Center of Permanent Cosmetics there are pics of tattooing into old strip scars and even into balding areas making look like a very short buzzed haircut.

Wow, great to hear from someone that had work down by M. Whitney. Sounds like she did a great job for you. Did you get to see any other work she's done while you were there? I'm getting my 2 old strips scars tattooed so I can buzz my hair down to a 1# guard again. I have seen pics on their website with some people even getting bold areas tattooed. It would be ideal if I can get bold area tattooed to look like a crew cut.

After 2 failed HT there is no other option but getting tattoos into 2 old strip scars. I've met with Dr. Feller and Dr. Dorin within the past couple of years they said not sure they can improve my 2 old scars. I have thought about getting Fue into the scars but the Fue would just create more scars I'm done getting scars on my fricken head. The place I'm going to get the micropigmentation tattooing is in the NYC area by a well known tattooing expert it will supposedly look like stubble hairs. The name of the place is Whitney Center for Permanent Cosmetics the tattooing is done by Melany Whitney who has appeared on Dr. Oz show. If all goes well I will be buzzing my hair down with a 1 guard the way I used to do it. If she does a really good job on my scars I might even have her do the rest of my head to cover my bolding spots so it looks like a crew cut and be done with it. Let you guys know how it looks and post pics.

I am in the same situation as you are with 2 strip scars. I did some serious research and came up with a place that can cover up my scars with tattooing in NYC at the Whitney Center for Permanent Cosmetics. The women's name is Melany Whitney she has a great reputation. I have an appointment to go get my 2 scars tattooed in November. Check out the pictures on there website guys shave their heads after getting tattooed into strip scars. I am shocked to here that you weren't happy going to Dr. Feller and the 2 strip scars. I meet Dr. Feller he told me my 2 old strip scars where to low for him to remove. I'm going with the tattoo into my scars because I want to be able to buzz my hair with a 1 guard again.

Slaps, John Malloy, Scar5, and anyone else we are all in the same boat about covering up our old HT scars. I am 34, at this point in my life I am more self conscious about my 2 scars than I am about my frcken hair loss. I would do almost anything to be able to buzz my hair with a 1 guard again. It would be nice if we could get more feedback on this in here. I think concealing old strip scars with tattoos is actually a really good idea. I just think people in the hair transplant industry talk negative about tattooing scars just to steer people away and get FUE into old scars instead. The website Sparky posted looks really impressive I almost want to jump on the next plane to Florida and get my 2 scars tattooed. After getting tattoos put into old scars looks like you would be able to walk out with instant results and be able to cut hair super short. I think I would rather tattoo old scars than get a FUE and wait around a year and still probably can't cut hair short. I am just concerned if the tattoos would ever change color down the road and look unnatural.

I don't like letting my hair grow out on the sides like most people in here because it doesn't look good with thinning hair on top. The website Sparky posted the tattoo artist in Florida looked pretty impressive for filling in scars and being able to buzz my hair again with a 1 guard. But I am preceding with extreme caution because anyone can put up before and after pictures like the below average doctor I got my scars in the first place from the Connecticut Hair and Transplant Group. I am also very concerned about getting a tattoo to fill in my scars and it changes color. The only way I would get FUE put into my scars is if I can use body hair not going to get anymore fricken scars on my head.

Hey Time to do something, I was very interested in the Neograft but never got anywhere with their nonexistent customer service. All I wanted was a list of Doctors that use the Neograft but their customer blew me off. Their response was they sent my info to some Doctor in my area then I never heard anything again.

I am starting to look into getting another HT but this time I want to use Body HT. I refuse to get anymore scars on my frcken head. I don't see why I can't get a BHT, any Doctors out there doing this especially in the Northeast?

I am thinking about possibly getting another HT. I started looking at some prices on websites of a few coalition doctors and I was pretty annoyed. The prices haven't budged since the last time I looked which was about 3 years ago. How the hell are doctors still charging these astronomical prices like $10 per FUE per graft during these times? I highly doubt business is booming for HT doctors when people are losing their jobs, homes and no end in sight. Why the hell the prices still jacked up for a HT?

The Neograph customer service is non-exstitng. Ever since I saw the recording of the Neograph on the Rachael Ray show I haven't been able to find a doctor who uses it besides 1 in Florida and 1 in Minnosata. I emailed Neograph numerous times and all the respond me with is: Thanks for your inquiry, We have doctors in your area. As we have a very large number of patients for your area our doctors are processing each patients information. We have provided your info to a Doctor. They will respond to you directly. Thanks NeoGraft I was very interested in possibly getting a procedure done with using body FUE as they claimed on the Rachael Ray but they basically blew me off. I think Neograph is nothing but a big flop and never got off the ground.

For a month I have tried getting info on the Neograph, Who uses it? How much does a procedure cost? Can you use body hair? Doug Monty who supposedly works for Neograph comes in here argues about how great it is, answers 0 questions then runs off never to be heard from again. I am actually Pro-Neograph but can't get any answers from neograft.com or Doug who supposedly works for them.
