You can see the longer scar from my most recent HT 1700 grafts when hair is buzzed with a 2 guard. Before my 2nd HT I used to buzz cut my hair with a 1 guard even with the small scar from 1st HT. When I said $10,000 that was money I already wasted on 2 HT and other products.

Thanks for your response since no one else bothered. You said "If Dr Feller could FUE the scar to an improvement would you be satisfied?" If I knew for sure FUE put into my scars would allow me to buzz cut my hair back to 1 guard I would set an appointment ASAP but there is no guarantees. I am just sick and tired of wasting my f%$#en money over $10,000 already on fighting hairloss and getting nothing out of it. The only product that really saved me and prolonged my looks was dermatch since 1997.

I am probably a NW 3 at age 33 with very thin coverage in front hairline and crown starting to look bald to. I began losing my hair when I was 21 which was a f#$%en confidence crusher for me at that age. The following year 1997 a freaked out and rushed into my first strip scar HT 300 grafts into front hairline. That year I also was introduced to Dermatch which helped save me for a long time up until now. In 2004 I got another strip scar surgery 1500 front hairline and about 250 crown. The 2 HT was done by the same below average doctor so I almost don't have any coverage in front hairline even after 1800 grafts. My big problem is I use to buzz cut my hair with a 1 guard very close because my first HT was a small scar not really noticeable. After getting my 2nd HT the 2nd scar is much more noticeable almost ear to ear. When I cut my hair with a 2 guard the 2nd HT scar is still noticeable. I met with Dr. Feller to see if I could get FUE put into my scars. He told me he wasn't a hundred percent sure if he did the procedure it would totally cover up my scar and not be noticeable again. At this point in my life I am happily married and have a beautiful child with a pretty big mortgage. I can't get any more procedures done that would cost around $10,000 to $20,000 were in a recession tough times right now I don't know how some of you guys do it you most be rich. I could however have Dr. Feller put FUE into my scars which would cost $1,600 so I can hopefully shave my head with a 1 guard. I have tried everything rogain, propecia, lasecomb, only to watch my hair keep falling out. I feel like losing my hair is ruining my f&^%en life since I have to look in the mirror every day and be reminded of it. I have changed careers when I was younger so I can wear hats to work everyday. Losing my hair has crushed my confidence where I don't even want to go out to dinner or other gatherings anymore. I used to be able to comb my hair back then I was forced to comb it forward like the monk look which actually looked pretty good for awhile until now. I wear hats all the time during the day and am pretty much sick and tired of doing it because people probably think I'm losing my hair at this age. So what the hell am I suppose to do? Should I go get a FUE put into the old HT scar and shave my head for now? I haven't ruled out not getting another HT or whatever in the future but for now I can't. Is there any new solutions to hairloss in the near future? I know that scientist and Doctor or working on finding new ways to finally stop hairloss.

Holy-Sht! It looks good after the FUE. You said you had some bad HT in the past you can't even see your strip scars after Dr. Feller put FUE into them. It looks like you can buzz done your hair and not see anything even after bad strip HT. That's what I want Dr. Feller to do is put FUE into my scars for now until I decide what to do down the road. Thanks a lot Spex.

Bill, I don't no if I will ever get another HT strip procedure done again because the scar. My question to you is does the FUE procedure leave permanent scars? Are there little red dots all over the place long after the FUE? Does it completely heal to where you can't see it?

Thanks for the response Dr. Feller. I don't know if this will help you remember me but I came in to see this past November on Veterans Day from Connecticut. You told me I should pack 2500 grafts strip procedure into front of my head because that's where my major hair loss is. You also said may scars didn't look that bad and that you weren't 100% if you can improve it with the FUE. You said "Fue may reduce the visibility or obviousness of the scar" I would definitely like to give it a shot in see if it can improve the 2 scars. Right now money is the main reason I can't do a mega session but for now if I can improve the way my scars look I would be happy with that.

Are you talking about buzzing it with a 3/4# which would be very close to the skin? I think there are different measurement for guards like 1/2 would be a 4 guard not close at all. I buzz done with a 2 guard. Dr. Feller did say about 500 fue grafts into my scars should do it. Right now a mega session is to much money for me to dish out but I would seriously consider FUE into my old scars to improve its look for now. After your FUE can you see the little holes that the FUE precede left are is it completely healed? Does a FUE leave permanent dot scars all over the place like I see in you picture?

I am having a very difficult time contacting Dr. Feller also. I spoke to him in PM sent him pictures and never heard from him again. I just want to get some input if he can do repair work on my 2 ht strip scars. I hope he doesn't think make case isn't important to him because I have been very unhappy about having 2 old strip scars behind my head.

Sorry Greg7711 if I intruded on your thread. I would like to shave my head like you but I have 2 old HT strip scars. I'm hoping I can get some repair work done to fill in scars so I can be able to cut hair real close again. If you like your head shaved don't get a HT strip procedure. That's great dude! I wish I had shaved my head before I got my 2nd HT strip scar over 2 years ago with a bellow average doctor. I really miss shaving my the sides of my head with a one guard. Now I shave sides with 2 guard scar is still visual. I have tried contacting Dr. Feller over email for the last 3 weeks to possible do repair work with FUE into scar. Dr. Feller has not contacted me so I'm starting to get pissed because I sent him 3 emails 1 with pictures over the last 3 weeks ago and no one has bothered contacting me yet.

Hey cc924, so what are you going to do? I only ask because I am in the same situation you are in with 2 HT strip scars. I just want to shave my head with a 1 guard but can't because of my 2 scars would be visible. My scars are visible when I cut my hair with a 2 guard! I just want to move on with my life. Like you I went and saw a well known plastic surgeon in my area and he basically turned me away. He said he couldn't make my scars look any better. Then I went saw one of the coalition doctors on this web site he basically turned me away also. He told me he couldn't make to scars look better either and to get back on propecia and start using rogain foam. I read on this forum that Dr. Feller is good at fixing old HT scars with the fue procedure so I'm going meet with him as soon as I can.

Does it matter what time you take Propecia during the day? I work second shift is their a better time to take Propecia or it doesn't matter? I get up 10:30 am go to sleep 3:00 am.

I bought the hairmax lasercomb for $600 back in 3/2004. I used it for 3 1/2 years twice a week for like 15 minutes. I can tell you that it made my hair look thicker after I used it but it didn't stop my hair loss. I have less hair now then I did back in 2004. I stopped using the lasercomb and I have been on rogain foam and propecia.

I tell you what I wish I never got my 2nd HT strip scar done 2 years ago. I to was willing to spend a lot of money to fight my hair loss but there is no guarantee. I wish I could shave my head know than watch it get thinner and thinner even though I use Rogain foam and Propecia. I didn't go to a coalition Doc but every Doc I have gone to said my 2 strip scars are pretty good. But it's not good enough if I want to shave my head!! So Folica do yourself a favor and try Propecia and Rogain if that doesn't work than shave your head if you don't what a scar on the back of your head.

Yes I don't have side effects from Propecia that stop me from having sex but I do feel a little different down there. I agree with Proactive that I also feel a little bit less turned on then usual. Reading through www.propeciasideeffects.com makes me a little paranoid too. People talking about having permanent side affects even after they stop using Propecia??? Does Proscar have the same side affects as Propecia???
