  1. Check out Micro Scalp USA with Matt Iulo. He's one best SMP practitioners out there. Just opened up an office in Houton.
  2. When I got permanent SMP done on my 2 strip scars I was told not to touch it and not to wash area for a couple of days. My provider never recommended putting ointment on it.
  3. Ok I'll just ask one of my questions here then. What kind of inks does Micro Scalp USA use?
  4. I know he's one of the best SMP practitioners out there. I've done a ton of research and looked at Instagram posts. I just need to hear from some of his clients. I have a couple of questions. Please PM me or respond on here I'll PM you.
  5. Lorenzo, I hope your doing ok with your fight against cancer. This is what concerns me about SMP. As you said it is hard to prove that SMP gave you cancer but what a coincidence it happened to you months after you got SMP done both times. Did you get permanent or temporary SMP? I've already had permanent SMP put into 2 old strip scars but I'm very hesitant about getting my scalp done.
  6. Stem Cell Therapy is supposed to be completely different treatment then PRP. I see some places doing both PRP and Stem Cell Therapy together not sure what that does. I thought about getting PRP but it's expensive and a lot of mixed reviews of it not working including you. Some places are offering Stem Cell Therapy for hair loss treatment in the USA. I have to do more research on it don't know much about it and I'm not getting much help on this forum.
  7. Don't everyone answer all at once.
  8. Looks like I'm a little late to this party. Can someone tell me if Stem Cell Therapy works for hair loss? Has anyone on here had it done or know of patient's who had it done? Any coalition doctors offering Stem Cell Therapy? Costs? Side affects?
  9. That's the other problem CaseyGeorge. I don't see 1 picture ANYWHERE of what permanent or temporary SMP looks like 3 months, 6 months, a year after it was done. You only see pictures right after SMP was done. Like I said on the above post look at all the pictures from all the practicener's websites and instagrams. Must be thousands of guys walking around with SMP on the top of their heads. There clearly on those sites and they are not hiding that they had it done. I would like to meet some of them to really believe it.
  10. Thanks for all the responses. Yes Bill I have seen a few people on this forum post some pictures but not many. And yes I have had permanent SMP done on my 2 strip scars by a well known practicener in NYC. For those on here who want to cover up the scars I would recommend it. I can get my hair buzzed on the sides without a guard and it looks pretty good. But to SMP the whole scalp scares the sht out of me. I would like to do it but just seems to be to many risks like looking fake, fading, and possible long term health issues. The temporary SMP really worries me because of how the inks eventually pass through the the body and lymph nodes in a short period of time. If you look up all SMP companies you see tons of pictures of guys getting it done. I mean is there thousands of guys walking around with SMP on there scalps?? Yet hardly anyone knows anybody who has had it done. I've been fooled by pictures before at the HT doc I had both my HT done. He showed me a book of patients who supposedly had HT done at there clinic. Anybody can show a bunch of fake pictures. Now I don't have enough donor hair and my 2 HT results are below average at best. I've been burned before.
  11. I need hear from actual clients who have had permanent and non permanent SMP done on there scalps. Are you happy with the results? Does the SMP last as long as the practicener said it would? Does it look fake? Does anyone ever ask you why your hair always looks the same? Does it fade unevenly? I have had permanent smp down into my 2 strip scars by a top NYC practicener and it looks pretty good. I just have some big worries about ever getting the scalp SMP. I already have been burned twice in the HT industry by a below average doc so I'm very cautious. 2 coalition docs have told me I don't have enough donor hair. One of them even recommend for me to get SMP done. When you look at all these SMP companies website and instagram pictures it looks like tons of guys are getting SMP done. You don't see any long term pictures from 6 months, a year, 2 years. I would like to see someone in real life an actual client who had it done. I would like to hear from actual clients. The SMP forum is starting to look like the SMP advertising section.
  12. I know you weren't saying that directly to me about staying in shape. I feel like it's even more frustrating working out trying feel good about myself only to lose my fricken hair. The results from my recent smp into my 2 strip scars are pretty good. I haven't done smp on my scalp yet and am very concerned if I do so it would look fake or fade and possible health affects. I am 41 and at his point I would like to just shave my head but don't have the balls to do it yet. I've been using dermatch for a long time but it's getting harder to use being a NW 5. If I where you and you like the shaved look up top with possibly smp also I would never go the HT route. I don't care how good docs claim to be still will leave scarring. FUT huge linear scars and FUE 100s of little dots on the back of your head. The only HT I would consider would be BHT from may the upper legs or something. Not from visible areas like torso.
  13. Walker10 sorry we hijacked your thread. Hairiscaring, you said there are alot of dishonest SMP companies out there which is true. The same can be said about the HT industry who most of them only care about making money. I'm an example of this as I had 2 failed HT with 2 strip scars by a below average doc, weekend worrier Dr. Goldstein who took advantage of my situation when i was desperate started losing my hair at 21. Also another doctor's office has been hounding me for almost 4 years now since I had a consultation with them to come in and do a surgery even though 2 top coalition docs said I do not have enough donor hair left. You said get inshape. I've been working out for about 21 years now lol. I think it's even more frustrating staying in shape trying to look good only to lose my fricken hair. The practicener I went to did work for one of those companies you mentioned now he has his own company. I did say supposedly a good practicener. You said it yourself it's very hard to find the good SMP providers through all the bs reviews that are out there.
  14. You seem to know alot about the SMP world. I agree there are alot of scammers out there who claim to be good practitioners. It's hard to see through all the bs in the SMP world with all the fake reviews and pics out there. I believe you also called out scapguru who I thought was real unbias SMP website until I connected all the dots thanks to you. I did alot of research and found the practicener I went to is well known and doing SMP for awhile now. Yes fading did happen to me 9 months out after smp into my 2 strip scars. The provider did get back to me and did a touch up session for free. In your opinion who is the best practitioner in NYC or Northeast?
  15. Hairingiscaring, how is it a red flag if a provider works for himself or maybe just has one other employee in a one room suite? Supposedly some of the best practitioners in the US work like this. Would you pick a practitioner just because they work in a doctor's office over a well known practitioner working by himself?
  16. Yes. The practitioner did a touch up session for free. I will post some pictures this weekend when I get my hair buzzed down on the sides.
  17. Going on 3 days since I emailed the practicener with photos and I still haven't heard back. I also texted them yesterday. I haven't mentioned the provider's name or company. They probably monitor this forum and saw this. I do have a couple of more pictures to post but waiting to hear back. I won't post any info about the practicener if we can work something out. I would post photos after touch up. They have to understand my frustration that it's not even one year yet the permanent SMP changed color and fading in some spots. I paid $1,700 for this.
  18. Bill, I got permanent SMP into the strip scars because I didn't want to keep going back and getting touch ups with temporary smp. I didn't expect it to change color 9 months later. Glad i didn't get my scalp done, would that have changed color also? The practiconer I went is supposed to be one of the best. How can touch up SMP improve my scars when the existing SMP has darkened in color? Wouldn't touch make it worst? Should I get temporary SMP instead of going back for more permanent SMP into the scars?? I have had temporary SMP done back in 2010-2011. I would much rather have it fade and disappear then change darker color. Everything I have done with fighting my hairloss has been some of the biggest mistakes in life.
  19. Thanks for the response. I don't know if the provider offers free touch up. I hope so being it's only been 9 months. As for as dermatch it's worked wonders for me for years. The only problem is i basically have been living a lie for so long now using it. It's hard to use now as I'm a NW 5. So if i decide to shave my head people are going to be like what the hell happened? It's very similar to wearing a hair piece you are just fooling people. You also worry that someone will find out your using it. It's not good for you psychologically.
  20. Thanks for the response Spanker. The picture is to bright and I am definitely not light skinned. I've been using dermatch forever now. Thanks to 2 botched HT I don't have enough donor hair. You are absolutely right that I have been tormented because of hairloss. I would have shaved my head years ago if it wasn't for my strip scars.
  21. The picture doesn't do justice to much light. My left side is the worst more visible side.
  22. Back in March I had my 2nd SMP session into my 2 strip scars by a top practiconer in NYC. The scars were not invisible but it was a big improvement after the permanent SMP was done. I was able to use clippers with no guard on the sides. 9 months later the SMP looks darker and faded. My goal was to camouflage the 2 strip scars so I can shave my head as I am a NW 5. Am I already do for touch up??? Isn't the permanent SMP supposed to last longer?? Am I supposed to keep forking over $1,000s for more SMP? I'm glad I didn't t do my fricken scalp done. I'm not calling out the practiconer just yet I'm giving this person a chance to work something out. What are options here? I believe I deserve a free touch up session or 2 being it's not even a year yet and I gladly payed $1,700.
  23. Thanks Hairthere for the explanation about Beauty Medical pigments. I'm still very hesitant about getting temporary or permanent SMP on my scalp. I've been screwed before with 2 failed HT that left 2 strip scars on the back of my head. I would have to see one of your clients in person before I do anything. It still concerns me the pigments eventually pass through the body. I have had permanent SMP done on my strip scars by a supposedly top practicener in NYC back in March. At first it looked pretty good now 8 months later it looks like it may have changed a little bit in color and it's not totally undetectable. Seems like anything I do about fricken hairloss doesn't work for me. I don't need to ruin my life anymore with a fake looking SMP on my scalp so am very cautious.
  24. Lorenzo, your doctor is seeing more cases of cancer from tattoos are you talking about just SMP or any kind of tattoos?
