  1. Lorenzo, I'm glad to hear you are ok. This is what worries me about permanent and especially temporary SMP. With temporary SMP passing through the body in a short period of time after the procedure. I will not take any chances if there is a possibility to get cancer.
  2. Guys, thanks for all the responses. I would not use beard or even chest hair. I don't need to make my situation worse having little dots all over my chest or under my chin. Maybe this has worked out ok for some. I would only use hair from my upper thighs or leg area if possible. Like some of you guys mentioned most HT docs do not do body HT for good reason. I'm 40 years old, NW 5 and don't know what the hell to do at this point. I have looked into SMP which Dr. True actually recommend to me. I already SMP my 2 strip scars by a well known practicener in NYC that came out pretty good. I'm not sure if I will SMP my scalp.
  3. Thanks for the responses. I'll check out more of his youtube videos. I don't understand why he's really the only good BT doctor in the US. I'm from the New England area not an easy trip to go to his office in LA.
  4. Don't answer all at once guys. This is like the 3rd thread I have started and have not had any replies.
  5. He told me I'm not a good HT candidate because I don't have enough donor hair. He actually recommend me to get SMP done by Dr. Pak in LA. Atleast he's honest not like some other doctors who are just looking to get paid no matter what the situation is. I began looking into SMP and got my 2 strip scars SMP by a very well known practiconer in NYC and it looks pretty good. I very hesitant on getting SMP on my scalp it scares the sh!t out of me. I don't need to make my situation worse by getting a bad SMP done on my scalp and looking fake and possible long term side affects. This is why I'm looking into body HT.
  6. Is Dr. UMAR the best body HT in the US? Thanks to 2 strip HT I had over a decade ago by a below average doctor I do not have enough donor hair left on my scalp. I already met with Dr. True who does some body HT but he turned me away. Is there any other doctor possibly in the Northeast that performs body HT like Dr. Umar?
  7. Thanks for the responses. The SMP industry is like the wild wild west. I think it's actually worst than the HT industry with hardly any regulations the more research i do. Anyone can open up a tattoo shop somewhere and claim to be great practitioners with fake pics, fake reviews and no long term pics after procedure. I do think getting SMP into old strip scars is a great idea as i have had my strip scars SMP by a well known practitioner. It did come out really good and I can shave my hair down on the sides. Getting it done on my scalp is really concerns me looking fake and any possible long term effects it my have. I would need to see clients who actually got SMP done before I ever decide to do this.
  8. Has anyone try using dermatch on a shaved head? I have been using dermatch for a long time. I'm a NW 5 it's becoming difficult to conceal my hairloss. I started thinking about getting SMP on my scalp but it concerns me. I had SMP done on my 2 strip scars that came out pretty good. I saw some people on YouTube and other forums that are bald using dermatch to cover bald spots on with shaved heads. Has anyone on this forum tried this? Not sure it would work for everyone.
  9. I'm thinking about getting permanent SMP on my scalp. I have already had permanent SMP my 2 strip scars by a very well known practitioner in NYC who did a great job. I thought about doing the temporary smp on my scalp to try it out but I don't like the idea of the ink pigments being absorbed into the body and passed through the lymph nodes. How safe is permanent SMP on the scalp? I don't want a chance of getting any kind of long term effects like cancer from something like this. Where does the permanent SMP go when it starts to fade? This concerns me as the inks are applied directly to the scalp. Does permanent SMP also get absorbed into the body? I read somewhere that Dr. Pak mentioned there is a small possibility it can cause cancer. I need to know for sure before I go ahead and do this. Thanks
  10. Lorenzo, Very sorry to hear about your problem. This is very concerning if SMP has anything to do with your cancer. I would like to hear what the experts think about this? Can SMP cause cancer??
  11. It's Iulo not Lulo. No wonder why I couldn't find out where he worked lol.
  12. Yep that's the place thanks alot! I googled him but I was having a hard time locating where he works now.
  13. Dr. Jae Pak from New Hair Institute in LA was highly recommend to me by a top coalition doc for smp. The problem is I'm about 1 hour outside NYC. Not realistic for me to make multiple trips out there. I'm currently looking for a top clinic in NY.
  14. I am doing research and thinking about getting SMP done. I am looking into 2 places in NYC. I'm reading alot of great things about Matt Lulo. The problem is he no longer works for Headstrong. I heard he might be with Scalp Aesthetics now. Can someone please confirm this??
  15. Krshultz91, I just saw your pictures on another thread you started and it looks great!
  16. Thanks. Are we talking about Headstrong SMP in NYC? I spoke to that guy Chris over the phone I agree big salesman like. I don't know what the hell I'm going to do. It's very concerning to me doing SMP cover the whole scalp. I need to see people who have had it done up close. I don't need to make my situation any worse that it already is. I would at least get my 2 strip scars done with SMP again.
  17. Thanks for the responses. I trust this community and I will contact Erik soon. I just wish I made the right decision over a decade ago when I first got on here I didn't go with a coalition doctor.
  18. I was told by Dr. True and Dr. Cohen that I am not a good HT candidate. Unfortunately I had 2 failed HT strip procedures done by a below average HT doctor over a decade ago. It was recommended that I should see Dr. Jae Pak from New Hair Institute in LA as the best in doing SMP. For me to travel to LA from the East Coast multiple times is really not possible I have to take time off from work and traveling costs. It was also mentioned to me that Chris Headstrong in NYC is a very good at doing SMP. Can anyone give me some input on who does the best SMP in the NYC area? At this point in my life I am a NW 5 and pushing 40. I am sick and tired of fighting hairloss and using dermatch forever. SMP sounds like a good option for me so I can conceal my 2 strip scars shave my head and move on with my life. I did get SMP done on my scars over 4 years ago and it has completely faded away. My main concerns with SMP is it looking fake, turning blue or green, silly looking hairlines, and possibly side effects from the inks. Need advice please.
  19. So I take it Dr. Boden didn't make the coalition surgeons list? It's also quite alarming all these first time posters coming to his defense couldn't provide pictures or proof. Here I am thinking of possibly getting PRP done at his office. Thanks to 2 failed previous HT from another doctor I am looking into getting PRP done.
  20. Dr. Wesley thank you for your response. I am very interested in seeing the patient results you have from PRP.
  21. Thanks for the replies. I have just about given up on PRP. I can't find any solid information or results and some top docs have stop doing PRP. I eventually want to make an appointment with Dr. True.
  22. Dr. Cohen from Fairfield, CT, told me I don't have that much donor hair left. He has the Atras Robotic FUE machine and still recommended strip HT. Dr. Feller and Dr. Dorin also recommend strip surgery. I really don't want another strip procedure.
  23. Thanks for the response. I did do a search on here for PRP and alot of the threads are like 4 years old. I just recently came back on this forum so I guess I missed the boat on PRP. What's is frustrating is this garbage makes it TV - Good Morning America show recently talking about this is the best kept secret for hairloss. 3 HT top docs recommended for me to get a strip HT procedure. I was also told I do not have much donor hair left so I also looked into BHT. I do not want to get another strip surgery because I already went through 2 strip surgeries 10 years. I like keeping my hair short so I am trying to find something else. I guess I am screwed.
  24. I can't find much information or who does it anywhere. I am beginning to think PRP is just another hairloss scam.
  25. I am considering it but I can't really find anywhere that does it. Plus I am not finding much information on PRP if it's successful or not? I wanted to possibly do PRP before getting another strip scar HT I am not crazy about. Do you know anything about PRP?
