  1. I'm sure you could replace the red lights with a few green lights and get in the xmas spirit. Think there is any chance I could sell this at a garage sale this weekend. haha. I'll reserve my 'sell' for ebay.
  2. The problem with shaving your head for a procedure, strip or FUE, is that the procedure then becomes visible. You will have redness in the recip area and depending on your physiology you will have redness than can last a few weeks in the donor area from the FUE. For strip you will have a noticeable incision. The benefit is that many docs prefer it. They say it makes it easier to tell the true angle of the hairs which makes extraction easier.
  3. Lat and Eman, You just crushed my hopes and dreeams. Percocet would probably help my condition of staring at my head willing hairs to grow. I'm still going to believe there is something happening up there whether there is or isn't. HairJordan, I'm fair skinned with dark hair - I think its a physiological thing more than anything else. I didn't fully expect the redness to last this long but I knew there was a chance. If you do a search you'll find others with redness lasting for up to 4 months. Balboa comes to mind. I've talked to Umar and he said I could use zinc oxide if I don't feel that it is getting better. I sent him my 2 month pics yesterday and he is going to get back to me on whether or not he thinks its important for me to use zinc oxide. Honestly, I've gotten used to the redness so it doens't bother me as much. And I have a job where I can wear a scrub hat for the most part - that helps. Abe
  4. I've attached a pic at 1 mos of the same area close up. not sure how to put them side by side.
  5. Lets just say that the lights get red.
  6. I'm getting trigger happy tonight, so feel free to ignore my many posts. I have a number of small hairs like this where it appears a new graft grew directly under an old graft. Just thought it was interesting.

  8. Updated pics are on my profile. The redness is slowly fading. I'm encouraged by what I think is growth (i know its super early, but I've waited 2 weeks to make sure I wasn't seeing things). The close-up pics are not great. I can make a second try tomorrow if anybody really wants better pics. Abe

  10. This is the big pic that I cut the smaller one from.
  11. Here are the best pics I could get. This is from the same pic. I just cropped a small section and enlarged it in the second photo. Looking at this up close it looks like growth to me. I never had any native hair in these areas. This is from my right side. Dan
  12. I will. I was just too lazy to create a full ebay post. 5 bucks isn't bad
  13. So you are saying we are not crazy!! Awesome! I even hesitated to post this b/c I felt I was nuts. Abe
  14. I have very short hairs in areas where I had no hair prior to the HT. The grafts that hung around are much longer. I'll try and take a few photos tonight. Abe
  15. If anybody wants a laser comb that I used for about 6 weeks, I'm willing to sell it cheap. I bought it about a year ago for $300 bucks from spencer forrest. PM me and make me an offer. I can take pics if anyone is interested. It works perfectly and is in perfect condition. Abe
  16. Space, Be prepared for people to notice unless you use a concealer - dermatch, dermablend and other options are out there. Just check with your doc first. Frankly, I've told people that ask and they've said cool, good luck. So many men are in the same boat and really dont' care. And women really could care less - half of them are getting botox and boobies. You have a long life ahead of you and most likely you will change jobs and nobody will be the wiser. And those that know will be jealous when they see your result. Although I hate where I'm at in my recovery (2 months and still red), I'm happy I've finally done something about it. There is something relaxing in knowing that its all up to the hairtransplant gods at this point. Abe
  17. SpaceB/w - I think your pre-op photos look exactly like Eman's. And I'm sure you have seen his results. Rahal is an excellent doc from what I've seen and I think you'll have an amazing result. Half of Eman's result would make you look 100% better. Good luck!
  18. GQ - I'm no doc, but if this is a tool that extracts and directly places, how can the doc be sure that the graft is not transected? (assuming the graft stays in the instrument from donor to recip). Abe
  19. Also, has anyone thought they had growth but were wrong? Is this common?
  20. Guys, I've been waiting a few weeks to try and figure out if I have been seeing things, but I think I've had some growth from the 1.5 month mark until now, the 2 month mark. And I'm talking about new hair that have popped through the skin. Is this possible? Anybody else experience this? I do acknowledge its possible that I'm seeing things - I do look at my head 10 times per day. I will try and get some pics up tonight, but I thought I would pose the question, what is the earliest anybody has seen growth? Thanks, Abe

  22. Yes, you can wear a hat. In fact, Umar gives you one that is adjustable. You don't have to take your hat off when going through security. Abe
  23. This is about the 3rd sales pitch for haircubed on here. Thare was another only a month or so ago with the same broken english.
  24. Jim, Did you hear or feel a drill during your procedure with Umar? Abe
  25. My head is still red and it does suck. I'm not sure if its the result of incision size or cramming 3000 grafts into a white guys frontal 1/3rd. I looked at Balboa's results and he is still experiencing redness at 4 months. When you do your consults I would ask what the average time for redness is. Umar told me it was about 6 weeks which I just passed. I'm guessing it will still be a little red for another month or so. Abe
