  1. Don't quote me on this but I think Feller and Umar have more experience doing FUE in the range of 1000 plus grafts. Not sure that Shapiro does FUE sessions that large. It might be a 2 day procedure at both. Umar worked about 12 hours straight and did about 1800 on me in the first day. Umar does let you leave your hair long if you pay an extra $1 per graft but it slows him down which means it would probably make it a two day procedure. Good luck.
  2. Dr. Feller, Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. Best of luck to you! We really do appreciate the your openness and willingness to share. Abe
  3. Depends what you mean by heal. In my case, the back hair grew in a few weeks long enough to cover the donor. However, I have a ton of shockloss on the sides and the red dots are still visible at 1.5mos. So, I assume they would be visible on the back if my donor was shaved. Abe
  4. So it sounds like in a long 9 to 12 hour day you could place 3000 grafts via FUE? Abe
  5. Dr. Feller, With the use of this tool and mutliple techs doing placement is it possible to do the mega FUE sessions we hear about? How many grafts can you currently do in a day via fue with this tool? Thanks! Abe
  6. And while I think pimples could signal growth they don't necessarily mean growth. I'm only 1.5 months post op and I'm getting pimples.
  7. My doc said it was fine to take a sterile needle or lancet and pop them. Also to keep an eye on them in case of infection. Abe
  8. Looks very interesting. Could you provide some info on how it works and how it differs from what's already out there? How have your results been? Any other docs used or using this? Thanks, Abe
  9. Wylie, I've been following Umar's instructions and he is aware of the redness. BTW - the redness is still there. But he wants me using aloe at this point. I'm about 6 to 7 weeks post op. Abe
  10. Eman, Thanks for posting. Your story is an encouragement to all of us. I'm stuck in a 'red' phase and to hear that the doldrums was all worth it is music to my ears. Abe
  11. Leb, Who was your doc? How many grafts? any before and after pics? Its probably normal based on what I've read. 12 months is the standard to judge growth. Abe
  12. Guys, Thanks for the good wishes. I spoke to Umar and he didn't seem too worried about the redness. He told me that I could start using aloe vera which I am going to start tonight. Abe
  13. Leeson, Just checked out your journal and you are going to have a thick full head of hair!! Good growing. Abe
  14. Leeson, I was using it directly on the recip area, over the last week I've switched to putting it behind the recip area in hopes to not aggravate the redness any more. This is truly the worst part of a transplant. Maybe because of the density of the fue it will remain red longer? Abe
  15. Acrobaz - Thanks! Looks like you will have a great result as well. I've been keeping an eye on your progress, thanks for all the updates. Tootall - I'm not using anything. My doc said not to use anything except the minox that he gave us. I'll shoot him an email today and ask again. Abe
  16. Thanks GQ - I appreciate the positive comments.
  17. P.S. Pretty much all of my grafts have shed at this point. I think there are some sticking around on the right side.
  18. Guys, I've updated my blog with my 1 month pic. I'm not super worried, but I've been browsing the Armani blogs and they worry me to be honest. My biggest concern is my sides. The hair is slowly filling in this area but very very slowly. The back filled in very quickly but the area that he harvested from the sides is still noticeably lacking in hair. I'd obviously love for the redness to be gone, but I think I have another couple of weeks. Abe
  19. Stingray, Did you ask for your money back? What did they say? Abe
  20. I only see two possibilities. 1.) He is full of shit. But what then is his motivation for posting? 2.) Pats contacted him and told him to shut up and we will fix it for free or return your money. Maybe 3... 3.) He was mugged and his computer was stolen. Abe
  21. Martinnyc71, Your previous thread got a ton of responses and I didn't see that you ever posted pics. Could you post some pics of your poor transplant? I'm in the midst of the 'doldrums' phase and I'd like to see what you're talking about. Abe

  23. CK - I agree with you. If I had a bad result I would be posting all over every board with pictures. Why let someone else make the same mistake that you made. And why let someone that butchered you, continue to make money at others expense? I can't believe that he doesn't have pictures of this yet. Wouldn't you at least send some to the doc? FUSSFUE, send what pics you have please. If you read these boards you'll understand why we are critical and need to see results. Nothing personal. Abe
  24. My doc gave me a PGP-free rogain that was more like an oil. He told me to start using it 4 days post op. I felt like it helped loosen many of the scabs.
