  1. Wasn't Miss California in the news today for naked pictures? She is quite the moral lady.
  2. Can't see a thing from these pics.
  3. BHT is a gamble and its not gauranteed. But its hard to say it doesn't work when you look at sofarsogoods results. If he's not on this forum he's on HLH. Abe
  4. HJ, It was really hard to capture the growth on camera. Some of the hairs are colorless but not really white. I'm keeping an eye on your case too, so keep us updated. Hopefully we will both have great results. Abe
  5. I don't think anybody has said that BHT is equal to head hair. But, a case does come to mind, granted it is a small 600 BHT. I believe sofarsogood had great results with leg hair transplanted to his hairline. So, I agree its likely this guy pulled a houdini. But, BHT is not a perfect science. I do think for those people who really want hair, there have been some decent results using BHT to creat the the illusion of hair.
  6. Normally I wouldn't post a 2.5 month update but I'm excited about the growth that I've had from 1.5 to 2.5 months. It makes up for the redness. Abe

  8. clicked post too soon. Anyway, I'm hoping taz shows up with pics.
  9. I'd like to know the final result as well. However, in my docs defense, Umar has some of the best BHT cases I have ever seen. Also, Umar suffered from a poor ht himself. I can't imagine him going out there and giving Abe
  10. So hair under the arms must be resistant to sweat and bacteria?
  11. Hairjordan, Looks good. I'm starting to see some growth although I still have a lot of redness. Keep us posted on your progress. Abe
  12. Lately I've seen a lot of Rahal's patients start growing early. Was there anything he suggested you do pre-ht? Are you on Rogain? thx, Abe
  13. Acrobaz, I had my ht the day before you. How are those little growths doing? I've had a great amount of growth over the last 3 weeks. Its very encouraging! Abe
  14. Sounds like ingrown hairs. Tendskin helps. So do oral and topical antibiotics a dermatolgist can prescribe.
  15. This is old news but I haven't seen any discussion of it on here. Has anyone tried using a lasercomb to help with post-op healing? "Dr Glenn Charles Clinical Trial in the healing process and scarring in hair transplant patients using the Hairmax laser comb A Florida-based hair transplant surgeon, Dr Glenn Charles, DO, conducted a series of clinical studies using the Laser Comb to determine the effectiveness of the device and it's possible uses. He wanted to find out if in addition to helping patients with hair growth, the Laser Comb could help speed up the healing process and minimize scarring in hair transplant patients. He also wanted to determine if there was less postoperative shock fall out (telogen effluvium) in hair transplant patient after using the device. To verify his data in a professional manner, Dr Charles conducted clinical trials on some of his patients where he monitored their hair counts, hair color, and overall health of the hair and scalp. One clinical trial which was submitted to the FDA clinical trial involved five male subjects with ages ranging from 21 years to 59 years. All the participants were experiencing hair loss and were not taking any medications or using any products related to hair loss. (Propecia, Rogaine, or Avacor). Each patient had two areas tattooed, one in frontal region and the other in crown (back of head) region. Manual and computerized hair counts were taken at beginning of study and again at 4 months. Any changes in hair or scalp characteristics were also noted. In all subjects there was an increased hair count with the average increase being between 40 to 55%. Two patients also noticed a darkening of hair (decreased amount of gray hairs), One patient noted significant improvement of scalp dryness (flakiness) two participants noted no noticeable changes in the hair or scalp characteristics. There were no negative side effects or other complaints expressed by any of the subjects involved with the study. In a analysis that he conducted on his hair transplant patients, Dr Charles attempted to determine if patients who used the LaserComb immediately following surgery healed faster, had less shock fallout of original hair, and faster growth of transplanted follicles. Each patient in the study was instructed to only apply the laser light to the right side of the donor and recipient areas for 10 minutes each day. Follow up visits with comparisons of right and left sides were taken at 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, and 6 months. According to Dr Charles, in all patients postoperative redness of scalp faded faster on the laser treated side. There was also less shock fallout and faster regrowth of newly transplanted follicles in all but 3 patients. In these 3 patients there was no measurable difference between laser treated and untreated side. After reviewing results of both studies Dr Charles feels very confident that the lasers cause no harm. (There were no adverse reactions or patient complaints from either study group), and that a significant percentage of people will benefit in one or more ways by using Laser Light Therapy. In hair transplant patients he feels that this may include decreased shock fallout of native hairs, quicker return to normal pigmentation of scalp, and faster growth cycles of the transplanted hair follicles. In non-transplanted patients there can be improvement of scalp dryness and flakiness (patients with seborrheic dermatitis). There may also be an increase in hair shaft diameter along with an increased number of total hair follicles. Some patients may even see more of their original hair color (pigment) after using the LaserComb. Overall, almost all patients felt that their hair and scalp felt healthier and fuller after using the Hairmax LaserComb" Their website has some pics as well.
  16. Max, I don't know the answer to your question, but I think you win the award for best close-up pics. Holly crap. Nice! Abe
  17. My thought is that meds will cause diffuse loss. For people without diffuse loss it should be apparent whether or not the meds are causing hairloss. If you already have diffused thinning it may be more difficult to tell if the meds are accelerating your hairloss. I had the same situation with Wellbutrin and quitting smoking and then staying on Wellbutrin. But I haven't seen any change in hairloss. Abe
  18. Hairjordan, Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. I'm at 2 months out from my procedure with Umar. I will tell you that it is tough b/c you probably will go through the ugly duckling phase - I'm waiting patiently for it to end. Just keep your eye on the goal! Abe
  19. Balboa, Do you have any clearer pre-op pics? Because you had a nice, but high, hairline previously, its a little bit tough to tell where the new hairline starts. Regardless, your hairline does look good for 5 months. I think you still have lots of growth to come. Also, has anything helped with the redness? Abe
  20. Is there a correlation b/w final results and how fast you begin to see growth? Do early growers tend to have better final results? Or are they equal to late growers? Or no difference? Stingray, did you experience early growth with your Armani ht? Thanks! Abe

  22. Doctors like your previous one should be in jail. So amazing they got away with doing garbage work like that. I think the number depends on what you are looking for. 2500 will give you good coverage.
