  1. Justin, Those are some excellent results. You look alot younger now. I'd say you're pretty thrilled, I know I would be!
  2. I was a fast healer as well. My redness faded pretty quickly and I am now 2 months and 2 days post op. I am noticing a little bit of growth as well. Not a whole lot, but it is noticeable. I wish I could push the fast forward button to 2 months. I guess everyone is different, though. I may not experience any more growth for a few months, but I hope not!
  3. I had 1200 grafts put it on the hairline only. You can see my pics on the Photos section of this forum. 1600 in a large area will be a noticeable difference, I just don't think it will add alot of density. My opinion was based on the pics alone, the scabs in the pics look like they're pretty far apart.
  4. Bill, First off...congratulations and I'm glad everything went well. If you want my honest opinion....judging by the pics, it's not going to be a whole lot of coverage. That's just my opinion.
  5. 3 procedures done in less than a year??!? That is ridiculous. Your doctor should give you a complete refund for stupidity on his part, and then he should pay for you a HT with a top surgeon.
  6. That's a good question, Mortimer. I'm 2 months post op today. I haven't went to my old hair stylist since the procedure. I want to start going back to him, but I don't want any comments or questions. My scar is a little red. What did you tell the other stylists about your scar?
  7. Rms...welcome to the forum. It's good you're doing research with us on this network. First, you really need to get on Propecia. I'm 20 and I take propecia on monday-wednesday-friday. It saves money, you don't have to take it everyday, and it works the same as if you were taking it everyday. I may be able to help you on one of your questions. Most people go for the strip method because it is the most perfected method in the hair transplant industry. FUE is practiced by only a few doctors. FUE is also a good bit more expensive. FUE doesn't leave you with a scar in the back. However, if you get a top surgeon to perform strip surgery on you, your strip scar won't be noticeable after a while. I hope this helps a little, but I'm sure the veterans on this network can make things more clear to you and answer your other questions.
  8. Congratulations, Bill!! Tell us a little more about the surgery. Was it on the hairline only? How old are you, if you don't mind me asking? Any pics?
  9. Social, About how far along did you begin to see some transplanted hair begin to pop up noticeably? I just want to get a feel of what's expected for me because I'm approaching the 2 month mark. Thanks, Brando
  10. Excellent choice, Western. Although 500 graphs doesn't seem like alot. Do you have any pics?
  11. I recently saw on the news a patch women wear that gives them testosterone and it's their form of viagra. It gives their sex drive a BIG boost. Side effects include major facial hair growth. Who knows. Maybe if a bald man put some patches on his head, he may grow hair? Lol...I can dream, right?
  12. That is absolutely incredible. I can't believe the difference. Social, don't be suprised if you're not on the main website of Dr. Cooley's in a few months in the before/after photo section. Congratulations and whatever hairdance you're doing everyday, do one for me too!
  13. Hair Apparent, Welcome to the forums. As you know, I had 1200 grafts from Dr Cooley in August. I'm glad to hear your experience was as pleasant as mine. Words don't do justice to how good and devoted Dr Cooley actually is. I would honestly say, as HairBeThere stated, Dr. Cooley is one of the best in the world. Keep us updated and if you have any questions, we're here for you. Good luck!
  14. Social, Looking good man! Thanks for buzzing the back to show us the scar. I can really tell the propecia and rogaine are helping you out. You're going to have Brad Pitt hair by the time this is over with. Good luck!
  15. He was on Leno about a year ago and he pulled his hair back to prove to people he had it and it was a good hairline! You could tell it was transplanted, though. I believe he got his hairline transplanted thick and didn't think about the hair behind it, it thinned out eventually, and he's using all the hair on the back, sides, and front to "swoop" it to the middle to cover the baldness...IMO. I also heard the same thing Robert heard, he has became known to the public for his brilliance, money, and hair!
  16. Thanks for the replies guys! Smoothy, Hairbethere, and Social (Robert). Hey Social..I'm just going to have to quit asking questions about anything negative because I always seem to jinx you! lol The gray hair, the pimples, I just hope I never have to ask you a question about my penis shrinking! lol You'd kill me!
  17. Hey guys, I'm a little over 6 weeks post op from having 1200 grafts to create my new hairline. The last couple days, I've been getting a few pimples in the recipient area and they hurt. I busted a few of them and I can feel a few more coming. Is it ok to bust them? I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks for any replies.

  19. Congratulations, inarush! Dr. Shapiro is a top surgeon and I'm sure you'll be very happy about your decision. If you get a chance, post us some pics and keep us updated!
  20. jr1, you're probably right when you say working out with heavy weights probably won't affect the sites where the incisions were made, but I believe most people's concern lies in the donor area. Stretching the scar is my major concern. Yesterday was 1 month post op for me and I'm just now starting to lift weights again, very very carefully.
  21. I agree with you HairBeThere. I do believe some doctors out there have managed to clone hair, but it won't make the market for many years, probably 10. Like you said, I hope I'm wrong. I really really hope it's much closer.
  22. Good Question. That's what all the hype was about...September 2004. Well it's time Bazaan puts up or shuts up. And if he lied, then in my eyes, he's a joke.
  23. HairBeThere, we've just got to get out more! I didn't know it cured prostate cancer! I'm thinking about peeing on my head in a few to speed up my transplanted hair and prevent future loss. Ouch! I just stubbed my finger typing, excuse me please while I go #1 on it.
  24. We've got to give all the credit to the wonderful novel The Yellow River by the excellent author I.P. Freely.
