  1. Congratulations, daytrader. Chalk up another one for Dr Cooley. He's pretty cool, huh? Tell us more about you and your procedure. How old are you? Were you in surgery a long time? What made you decide to go to Dr Cooley? Good luck with the results, man! Now's the time to treat those grafts as if they're your precious little newborn baby!
  2. RobertS, You had another procedure on your hairline? Man that's awesome! Dr. Cooley's the man. I can't wait to hear about it and see the pics. I'm glad you're sticking around and providing us with your comments.
  3. I heard on a morning radio talk show some people talking about how it is good to switch shampoos every month or so to avoid "buildup"? That's what I heard.
  4. Robert, You and I go back a while on this site. I hate to see you go as moderator. You've really came a long way and your knowledge has helped many...including myself. Thanks for everything and we hope you stick around and contribute some. Brando
  5. Thanks so much Ailene. The shedding has already slowed down a good bit. Now that spring is almost here, hopefully I can enjoy some growth. Thanks, Brando
  6. Hey guys, I know this subject has been touched on before, but let me ask anyway. Does anyone experience shedding or a little thinning this time of year? It seems like my hair seems thinner in the winter time. Anyone else? Thanks

  8. Congratulations Robert. I remember when you had your procedure and when you came in at a few weeks post op to visit while i was having mine done like it was yesterday. Without a doubt, you've came a long way. Dr. Cooley works wonders and if you're as satisfied as I am with my procedure, then your confidence is at an all time high. Again, Congratulations with the amazing results!
  9. I'm extremely happy for you, HBT! Confidence is one of the best things a person can have. Strut your stuff man, lol.
  10. Hairbethere, I can see a nice difference. Like you said, the 2nd one will be the key. I think it's a nice after photo because before you basically had nothing. Good luck with the second procedure, buddy!
  11. yes, that is the reason. But at a couple weeks post op or even a couple months post op, do you think there's that much of a difference? No. You won't start seeing results until the 3-4 month post op mark.
  12. Robert, not that it matters much, but i was actually 20 when i had my HT from Dr Cooley.
  13. Anonymous, I am pretty sure Nizoral is used to help clean your scalp so you can get the full effect out of Propecia and/or Minoxidil. My Dr. prescribed Propecia for me and said he'll go ahead and give me some Nizoral to use every other day (on the days I use Propecia) so it can clean and clear my scalp better and that way Propecia would work better.
  14. Nashville Kat, Thanks alot. I agree that Dr. Cooley is awesome and if time makes him better, I can't wait to see what he can do in 5 years! JohnH, Thanks for the compliments. I turned 21 in March. Yes, the hairline is the most important part. I believe I'm at the point in my life when hair matters most. I hope I am not kicking myself in the butt years from now for saying this, but if I wait until I'm in my late 20's to have a HT, then why suffer through my youthful days?
  15. Thanks alot guys. I am definitely in need of some real soon. Robert: I emailed Ailene and am awaiting her response. Hopefully they can call my drug store. Hairworthy: You're set! Must be nice Leftsider: If I can't get a renewal prescription from Dr. Cooley, I may give that a shot. Thanks!
  16. Actually, It's been a year since I've visited my doctor (Dr. Cooley). Since I live a pretty good distance from NC, I would have to go to my local dermatologist.
  17. My Propecia Prescription has ran out and I'm down to my last few pills, about a week's worth. My question...is there any way I can renew my prescription without going to the dermatologist? Is there anything I can call or go to online or am I going to have to break down and go to the dermatologist? Thanks

  19. I totally agree with Robert. I hit the tanning bed and it works wonders.
  20. I'm glad to hear your progressing well. 5.5 months is just getting started judging by my experience. By the way, I got Monday Night Football tickets to watch Green Bay at Carolina Panthers 9th row behind the Packers bench! I believe the Packers will have a good year!
  21. I would suggest Propecia. It may not do much regrowth for the front of your hair...but it stands a good chance of helping you keep your remaining hair, especially in the crown. Propecia has really helped my crown. I've been on it since May 2004 with no side effects as far as I can tell. After you stabalize your hairloss, maybe check into hair transplantation in the US if you can save up and afford flying here to have it done.
  22. I am very impressed. You look as if you've never had a receding hairline. Congratulations! I'm sure you're very happy...I'd be "strutting my stuff" if i were you..lol
  23. Maybe some Hair Multiplication articles.
  24. Thanks alot guys! I appreciate everyone's comments. They certainly make me feel good! I'm very happy with the results. I haven't been back to see Dr. Cooley since my procedure, but I would like to very soon. He is very VERY good at what he does and I would recommend him to anyone considering a hair transplant.
