  1. You will not find quality last minute hair transplant surgeons in Turkey. If you want help, the only advice to give is hold on to your money and don't do anything to botch your hair as it it. Not worth the risk.
  2. For the amount of bald area to cover, 10-12,000 would be just enough, which is why he would want to make as much use of your beard. Once you scale back then your crown will not have a chance. Your choice.
  3. Not all beard hair grows out long. Once you get past a certain point under the jaw those will be short in length hairs.
  4. PIttella has the track record to show that he won't waste your beard grafts. They would be put to maximum use, as their growth phase most closely matches that of head hair. As someone who has had a high Norwood and used a lot of beard hair, I much prefer having them on my scalp and looking less bald. Growing out a beard does nothing for me. And I am not paralyzed with fear that someone is going to grab my face with their hand and peer closely and see tiny dots where the beard growth used to grow out. Many men on here have their priorities wrong.
  5. There is an easier way. Just search for the several posts on this forum showing his work for norwood 7's which are shown in great detail.
  6. I've seen charts like these on here and elsewhere. It's not a guarantee but more a reflection on how normal HT results will progress:
  7. As an aside, those are fairly good post-op progress photos, in terms of the detail shown.
  8. It is highly unlikely you will receive a good result for a few thousand Euros. At that minimal an amount, that means the doctor isn't performing the surgery, but his techs, who are of unknown amount of experience. What you will see around hair loss forums are people posting their botched hair transplants from the Turkish hair mills. The only time I've seen a "good result" is when they over harvest most of your donor and fill in the frontal part of your hairline leaving nothing for future repair work. If you want to waste that money I suggest you take a trip to Las Vegas.
  9. Even SMP for scar camouflage, as opposed to fake density, would help, as that might allow for my style options.
  10. If you are not 100% confident in the provider in Turkey, don't take a chance. Medical tourism is incentivized by their government, so you can't trust clinic's advertising alone. A lot of money can be put into a professional presentation, but with the end result of it being a hair mill with minimal participation by the doctor himself. Your best bet is to go with a place with a track record of independent positive reviews and photo proof provided by patients. It is too costly to get botched.
  11. Good to see you were able to address the source of your anxiety, @Frosted Flaked. There is still a fair amount of beard to use for the next round. I agree that SMP alone can be a problem when people push it too far.
  12. Do you understand that this photo was from the one month mark, where most of the new hairs were dormant? The transplanted hairs fall out before this point. It is as if you didn't look at the progress photos from eight months out.
  13. This appears to have happened to you a couple of times since December. Why don't you message Melvin-moderator directly?
  14. For your level or hair loss and budget, there is a high probability that it will end up in a botch if you go to any of those hairmills in Turkey. This means overharvested donor, pluggy hair in the recipient and grafts that die in the process then don't grow out. The cheaper thing is to do nothing. Repairing a bad result costs a lot more money than the original surgery. I'd save up a bit more for Eugenix or HLC, or make peace with your hairloss.
  15. The odd thing is, for the high Norwood cases we see from Eugenix in India and Dr. Pittella, where they use a lot of beard, there seems to be acceptable residual beard hair left over. It might not be as bad as you think. The concern most people dwell on is having the tiny dots on the beard line be present, rather than maxing out what can be used to correct the hair loss up top. I'd rather have the extra coverage and density than have a full dense beard.
  16. Do you feel that your prior SMP has added any benefit to this final result, or would you look the same with just the surgery work?
  17. Hopefully Verteporfin yields results. If so it would help men in your situation, with limited safe scalp donor. If this drug can regrow some of the hair in the donor, that makes more available. Either way, you would need to include some of your beard to get a decent result.
  18. If I understand it right, this treatment, if it works, is for people who haven't harvested all their donor?
  19. If you need to use hair below the neck, I haven't heard Eugenix doing that. There are a handful of places to go for BHT when your donor is mostly gone.
  20. Will be interested to see how this turns out. This is a fair amount of new coverage so it should be a good transformation.
  21. I haven't seen recent patients like that, but I do recall walking behind a man in a terminal who had a shaved head revealing the signature smiley face FUT scar. I didn't have the heart to bring it up with him in conversation.
  22. Most of the transplanted grafts will not immediately grow. A small percentage will, but don't expect much to do this. What happens is that during the surgery and immediate recovery the root of the graft gets anchored under the skin, receives blood and continues to live in the new location. From the shock of the surgery, the root goes dormant for a number of months, with growth usually occurring between the 3 and 12 month mark. In my experience the hair follicle part of the graft, not the root under the skin but the hair coming out of it, these start to fall out around day 7 after the surgery, and some might be still hanging on by day 21. They are not growing since the root is in the dormant phase. Gentle hair washing should help the hair follicle parts fall out.
