    This woman in her 50’s came to Dr. Arocha for her hair restoration options. She wanted to correct her female pattern alopecia hair loss. Hair transplant surgery was performed with 2000 FUT procedure (the crown was not worked on). The results shown are 1 year after her procedure.

    30+ yo gentleman with AGA NW III c/o thin result after a FUT procedure at another facility. He came in for a 2000 FUT procedure and received 256 FU free grafts for a total of 2256 FU. He is about 12 months post-TP. What do you think about this result?

    This gentlemen came to Arocha Hair Restoration as NW III, with thinning of the frontal area and hairline. Dr. Arocha performed a 3000 FU FUT procedure. The photos below showcase his 8 month results.

    SUNSHINE TEST AGA is a gradual progressive condition. In the early stages, the thinning is not detectable to the eye. The lost is apparent under microscopic examination. Patients first notice that their hair is thinning when the hair is wet or under bright lights. These are useful examination techniques : 1.) wet hair exam; 2.) bright light or sunshine. The photos below showcase the patients hair before surgery and compared to his hair 1 year later outside in the sunshine. As you can see, his results are so natural that you can not see through the hair to the scalp.

    This 57 year old gentleman with NW 6 wanted to restore as much of the frontal to midscalp/crown area as possible. The head size was large so we performed two procedures: 1.) 4900+ FUT, and 2.) 2800+ FUT (one year later). The photos below are his results 10 months post surgery the second surgery.There is a lot of stubble in the Hair line and frontal areas so we will see further density improvements.

These two prior surgeries left his donor picked over and thin.He was very unhappy with his results and needed Dr. Arocha to correct the work of the two previous surgeons. The photos below highlight his results after just 5 months.

    Please make sure that you do your research before choosing a hair transplant surgeon. It is far too often that we see people that come to have corrective surgery with Dr. Arocha after having transplants at other clinics. It is crucial that potential patients understand that once their donor area has been depleted, there is no way to regain or regrown hair in that area. Be an educated patient. Take the time to look and ask for photos of previous work from your potential surgeon. Your scalp and wallet will thank you for it!
