  1. I don't know how long you tried Propecia for but without it it looks like you're heading to lose a lot more hair. I've been on Avodart for 4 months and the early side effects have mostly gone. In a couple of months I'lll swap to Propecia and stay with that long term. So far as dropping equipment and cursing, well mistakes happen - no big deal in itself. And sending them hundreds of photos sounds pretty OTT. It's still early days, I think the vigour of your criticism is premature.
  2. Haha. A serious reply to newbie's parody. That's one of the funniest things here. Blake's gone oddly quiet since advocating the sticky...
  3. In my opinion it was never a serious free offer and that was always my hunch, hence why the wait was frustrating at first, till I got fixed with SMP. Yeah, I'm thinking of going for an HT in the Islamic State, should be a bargain price. (The word is 'donor' by the way.) It's strange that her clinic is so far uncontactable as it looks pretty well established. I'm going to try to contact them by Twitter, they have a fairly big following there. I'll try to suss out how good she is before I commit, of course, but her not being a doctor doesn't necessarily put me off. I still think she could be skilled enough - as her result on here suggests (of course, it could be a fake patient, who knows). Otherwise I'll save a little extra and go for Dr Demisroy....I'll probably go for the Dr, actually. Octave, for the small amount of grafts you want, your HT sounds like a pretty easy job for any well established HT surgeon.
  4. Stig, you like your hyperbole don't you? (Sorry, another 'big' word.) I never begged Feller. I was frustrated, yes, because I hate being made to wait for things, especially when it's something like the decision over a free operation which I rightfully doubted would actually materialise. However, once I got the SMP I was relaxed about it. I wanted the mFUE if they were to do a substantial amount of grafts, such as 1500 or more, for free. But even then I was dreading the prospect of shaving down. However, like I've already said, I'm pretty sure Feller was never really serious about giving me a free op. In my opinion, it was all talk with no real commitment behind the ostensibly generous gesture. That's based on what was his consultation demeanour and the things he said, after some reflection. I absolutely don't want to shave down the recipient, so yes I definitely am relieved not to have the mFUE option (and mFUE scarring can look a bit clunky from the pics I've seen). I'm considering Hacer Yuce in Turkey, even though I think she's a tech and not a doctor. Plus I can't even get a response from her clinic at the moment - phone number isn't working, neither is the online form and the email is being ignored. This FUE won't touch the areas that Strip would (apart from a little overlap on the sides), so it doesn't technically matter which I do first. I just find much FUE less hassle healing wise, and it's cheaper in Turkey than Strip. ... Octave, I reread your post and saw you want to kep the M shape, so I guess a much more conservative graft estimate is appropriate although Dr Wong's does sound very conservative (he even though he's one of the best for megasessions).
  5. Spot the hypocrite. Your post count is far higher than mine over a much shorter timeframe and much of it is spent posting nasty comments railing against Feller. I've said what I had to say about Feller and I won't be giving him any more thought. You will doubtless continue your war of attrition against him. No doubt he would like to have you ignore him too. Turkey will work out fine for me, thanks for your concern Mr Snide. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Sorry about that, Octave. Octave, it depends on how low you want to go with the hairline. If you wanted to bring it down a fair bit and close in the temples then around 2500 grafts would be required.
  6. Erm, I didn't retract anything. My comments stand. Fact is, you're the mostly bald guy passively-aggressively attacking older men with much fuller heads of hair than you. I see a pattern: something along the lines of jealous inadequate uses HT forum to project his frustrations onto those he envies. There, there sweet cheeks. A cure is just round the corner.
  7. No problem, octave. I think if you go on meds you can afford to use a couple of thousand grafts on the hairline. Your crown doesn't need any grafts does it?
  8. No doubt Feller is relieved he didn't operate. However, I'm pretty sure the free offer wasn't a serious one. As it happens, I'm also relieved he didn't offer to operate. I have a much better option in Turkey. What crusade? Heh, your weak-minded vitriol is about as savage as being mauled by a guinea pig. And you sure do a lot of mind reading. Do you know me? Nope. But carry on with your foolish and feeble assumptions if it makes you feel perspicacious.
  9. Not really, it's just politics. It's not like I hate them or anything. As a matter of fact I'm glad they won't operate. Now I can get 1000 FUE grafts for around 2k dollars in Turkey and not have to shave down the recipient. That's way better than paying for a return flight to the US plus New York hotels, plus shaving down completely. Doesn't even compare. Only reason I was going along with the free offer was on the off chance they'd offer to do like a 3000 graft procedure. Lol. It turned out there was no chance of that.
  10. I have more hair than Kevin Spacey. And I'm better looking, right Doc?
  11. To cast aspersions over his potential ability to cope with more extensive hair loss just because he's keen to fix moderate hair loss is truly pathetic and further reveals you, HTsoon, to be a bitter and desperate individual unable to come to terms with your own extensive balding. Nobody knows how his hair loss will progress in future. It could start to accelerate exponentially as he hits his 40s. I can see why you'd want an HT, octave. The thinning doesn't look bad at all but the hairline can definitely be reconfigured. I agree 2500 sounds like a decent graft count to rebuild the front. Also, you should go on meds if not already on them. That was my mistake. I now need another 1000 FUE grafts to fix the thinning areas on my vertex. I'm your age.
  12. I want the same thing. I don't want to shave down, nooo thanks. I only need around 1000 FUE grafts. I'm considering Hacer Yuce. Although I think she is a tech not a doctor that doesn't necessarily put me off.
  13. ^ I did ask Shera to post that, which I guess was a bit sneaky. Oh well. The answer was interesting.
  14. Thanks for the info, Hairthere. Good to know.
  15. Yeah, you have a point about the assistant doctor thing being a cautionary tale. I never mentioned an assistant and neither did they. I asked for surgery with Dr Eser, they said sure. I saw Dr Eser on the day before surgery, no mention she wouldn't be doing it. Then, on the day the assistant turned up. I guess Dr Eser would have been more expensive. Why they did it like that, I don't know. No clear answers from them after the event. And during surgery they were chatting away like they were in a bar! I wasn't pleased. Must be some comedy material there I guess. Navy boxers from John Lewis eh? Very posh. My socks and boxers are from Tesco. Ha. So what other characters are there to lampoon...
  16. "How about those Mets and Dodgers, huh?" ... "THOSE AREN'T PILLOWS!" "Hey, did you see the Bears' game?"
  17. I'm impulsive and don't like agonising over decisions. I know there are a lot of anal retentives on here who plan their transplant to the Nth degree down to their colour of underwear on the big day but for better or worse that's not my style. At the time I was checking the forum for Turkish FUE names she was the cheapest one coming up with a good result: it was a risk I was prepared to take. I don't regret it, it worked out. I have my hair longer now I'm older and the donor thinning doesn't bother me much at all. In my opinion, it's not a cautionary tale so much as the reality of going for something on a tight budget at short notice. Essentially, it worked out. You can try with the satire if you want. I doubt you can do it convincingly. No doubt a few people here would queue up to proclaim your success and prove me wrong, your choice.
  18. I went to Dr Feller for the second HT because while the first had grown well I wanted it lower. The second didn't grow thickly, but I ignored the poor growth by brushing it down on the front. I didn't really think about it because my hair was thick otherwise. So it took years to get back to Dr Feller for an explanation. Then he screwed me around by being disingenuous on here, giving me phoney explanations for the result (which is why I felt entitled to a free procedure when the offer materialised). Anyway, I did go back to him for a small procedure because I was going over there for a trip. I had that small procedure - the third - and realised I should have got a bigger one. So I decided to get an FUE in Turkey at 6 months after the third op. Someone on here posted his result with Dr Eser ...something... and it looked great. Then someone else went over and I communicated with them, asking if Dr Eser operated on them and if it went well. They replied yes, although I later learnt they had misunderstood me and they got Eser's assistant. So, with it being a great price, I went for it. When I got there it turned out her assistant doctor was doing it instead. Growth was pretty good though, so it wasn't too bad an experience other than them over-thinning the donor area a bit. There you go. No comedy material there, sorry!
  19. Nice work. How often do you expect to have to re-do the SMP? When I had the SMP two days in a row, the second day was pretty uncomfortable. I'm not looking forward to doing it again. I want to get my donor scars done too but I'm guessing that will hurt quite a bit more becuase it's into scar?
