  1. I can't see one of my friends happily sitting through an HT operation on me, let alone for two days. Guess I must not have your special charms. My girlfriend, yes, but I wouldn't put her through it (nor want her to see it).
  2. Perhaps a new line for your signature Spex : P.S. And discounted medication from Dr. Edgar! Here are the pharmacies I've used: https://onlinedoctor.lloydspharmacy.com/ https://www.oxfordonlinepharmacy.co.uk/
  3. If that's the case then I apologise. I wasn't trying to make a petty personal attack, I just found your story hard to believe. Thanks for explaining, now it makes more sense. All the best with your future HT.
  4. It's just a bit of healthy skepticism. I mean seriously, who does that??? Sure, a wife or girlfriend would stay with their man throughout the op, but how many guys sit with their buddies for hours while they get their scalps surgically pricked and stuffed? On two different occasions. Extremely rare, surely. I could understand if you had hung around to witness the operations for a little while. But to stay for hours both times? I find it very hard to believe, sorry.
  5. I don't know, everything has it's risks. The trauma of losing his hair in a few years with a fake island of hair at the front may be enough to make him wish he'd risked a few boner issues. I have to admit since taking Avodart over the past 4 months my old chap has been slouching a little compared to its former glories (TMI perhaps, haha). I'm hoping Propecia will be less impactful on the downstairs department when I switch to it in a couple of months. I'm not about to give up the hair medication though, nooo way.
  6. It is a bad explanation, even though are obviously struggling with the English language barrier. As to the alleged Feller shill situation, it's strange how bunsernburner, JoeSocks and Frankmello have all gone quiet.
  7. You must have a lot of time on your hands (and be very patient) if you can afford to hold your friends' hands to Dr Feller's then sit twiddling your thumbs/ playing on your phone for hours while they get operated on - and on more than one occasion. Or, alternatively, you're making it up.
  8. What does his age have to do with not touching Propecia? To expect a refund if the growth is poor seems pretty optimistic after the way he's approached it here i.e. full on attack.
  9. In my opinion, for the OP to not even try Propecia due to a concern over potential side effects is irrational and totally disproportionate to the risks.
  10. There are big and established online pharmacies which are clearly reputable and the prescription through their online GPs only costs around 20 quid, on top of the cost of the drugs. Spex, are you financially compensated in any way, including through discounted drugs, for promoting Dr Edgar? Thanks.
  11. On further thought I'm not sure of the difference between generic finasteride and proscar! I should read up on it more. Obviously I'm not best placed to be talking about this. I just know that Dr Edgar's quote for Propecia around 4 months ago was much more expensive than the online pharmacy price I paid.
  12. I deleted the comment shortly after posting because I did a little research on it. From a very brief search it seems the generic proscar may be available through online chemists at around the same price, so I guess there isn't (much of) a premium on that with Dr Edgar. He used to charge a high premium with Propecia (and may still), which is why I get it through an online chemist instead. I've heard Propecia is more reliable than generic proscar, although how true that is I don't know. It was more expensive with Boots because you were getting Propecia not generic proscar.
  13. I don't think whether something could have fooled you, Stig, is an accurate benchmark as to its general credibility! (It was 6 and 8 months, by the way.)
  14. The topic is directly linked to the original thread topic, so it naturally flows from it. The accounts and the things they say look suspicious to me too. Would the poster/s be stupid enough to use incriminating/linked IPs if they were using multiple accounts? I doubt it (worth checking though). It's a matter of reading what they say and how they say it. Anyway, I have no grudge against Dr Feller. He's obviously a leading HT surgeon and deserves his recommendation. As to whether he's above a little foul play, well, I think his many posts have clearly shown he isn't. Whether fake accounts are being used to promote him, I don't know.
  15. Here HairJo calls someone "pal": http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/179706-strip-vs-fue-vs-mfue-dr-alan-feller-great-neck-ny-2.html Here JoeSocks calls someone "pal": http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/177363-hair-transplant-dr-bhatti-oct-14-part-2-procedure-10.html Here JoeSocks says, "Very very very fine work"; http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/180752-raymond-konior-md-%96-chicago-hair-institute-%96-3108-graft-hairline-restoration-post2445952.html#post2445952 ;which echoes the multiple uses of "very" I quoted on page two of this thread by other Dr Feller posters - all sharing the same lack of grammar in omitting the commas. Curious speech patterns... *takes off Sherlock Holmes hat and exits stage left*
  16. What a mean and petty post. Joesocks seemingly has an agenda against Shera and Dr Bhatti, while being vigorously pro-Dr Feller. Curious. Congrats on your success, Shera.
  17. Frankmello has to be the funniest one. Not that anybody else seems to care. The double standards are amusing to me. The lynch mob has gone for Dr Doganay... but is he likely to be the ONLY member doctor here potentially involved in some shady actions? Nope!
  18. In addition to Joesocks ( http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/Joesocks202 ) and bunsenburner ( http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/bunsenburner - mostly posts praising Feller/ Bloxham / Lindsey...also note his signature: "research, research, research" which is what Spex used to say: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/139221-hair-transplant-guide.html ), who both signed up within a couple of days of each other, another new Feller backside smoocher who appeared around the same time was Frankmello: Hair Restoration Social Network ? Community for and by Hair Loss Patients - Frankmello's Profile Also, notice how they all go on about how intelligent Dr Feller supposedly is. Frankmello describes him as "very very bright" ( http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/179786-fut-more-popular-than-fue-post2445864.html#post2445864 ) then another poster says "very very intelligent" ( http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/181104-failed-fue-repaired-dr-feller-thank-you-dr-feller.html ) and one here describes him as "EXTREMELY intelligent" http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/180902-giant-thanks-dr-feller-his-wonderful-staff-post2446072.html#post2446072 Hmm...No smoking guns. Just food for thought.
  19. BTW I meant your mistake now is in not taking Propecia, not Prozac, lol. I'll correct that. I'm ambivalent about your approach. I agree that some of the criticisms you make are concerning. I just think your argument would have been better made if you had focused on the important things and ignored the petty ones - such as the techs dropping something during the operation, and a couple of stray grafts sitting on your head in the photograph. So far as ethics are concerned, it's not quite as simple here as a choice between keeping your mouth shut or doing the 'right thing' and spilling the beans. Your hair could still grow well, in which case the surgery wasn't as bad as you have thus far portrayed it to be with many of your criticisms of the doc and his team. Anyway, I agree, he shouldn't have used up so many grafts to go so low with your hairline when you aren't prepared to take Propecia. And the rep-affiliated posts are shady.
  20. Do you really think you're going to get a refund now? You go full out on the reputation-trashing assault and essentially hold him to ransom, then act like a refund is guaranteed. I'd be amazed if he gave you a refund after the business you've inevitably cost him. Your reasoning isn't as objective as you seem to believe, either. So you got a load of grafts into the front and you're going to be losing a lot more hair. I agree it's poor conduct by the doctor, but your response has been less than reasonable: trash and pick apart every minute detail you can possibly think of (before even giving your HT a chance to grow). I could do the same with my HT experiences but it's not worth it. Surgery is rarely as smooth an experience as we'd like. The donor area does look over-harvested. I guess you'll either need to get SMP or grow your hair a bit longer. In my opinion your biggest mistake, which you are still making, is in not taking Propecia or at least giving it a very good try. The rep-affiliated posting does look suspicious and you are probably right. But that kind of thing is common. Feller had several New York 'cheerleaders' suddenly appear a few weeks ago (Joesocks, bunsenburner etc.), although they seem to have vanished for the moment. Who knows how genuine they are. They may be, but the way they appeared and the things they said suggested otherwise - to me, anyway.
  21. It's normal for 4.5 months - could end up growing well. Only thing you should be doing now is taking Propecia. And criticising him for not speaking English, lol, come on. As for giving refunds if it's a bad result that's more ethical than many HT surgeons who just ignore failures.
  22. Interesting romantic-era comb forward! paleo why not go on Propecia? The sides will likely disappear. It's true to say your hair loss future looks bleak otherwise and probably relatively soon.
