  1. I doubt nemo.shark will reply to this old thread, but in the off chance; nemo you say you are a scientist, what field do you work/study in?

  3. Can you provide me with any info on the delivery methods used to introduce the ATP into the cells? I understand this is your business and some info my be sensitive, but I'm curious. A patent number or any journal publications that you can provide would be outstanding.
  4. Are you a representative for a company that manufactures an ATP solution?
  5. Seriously? If you didn't read it then just move on, no need to post on a guys thread who is in a bad spot as the grammar police.
  6. I'm pretty sure hairthere is still in the process of getting everything together and SMG is easing into the procedure in the kind of meticulous well researched way you would expect from them. I'm not sure if either of them are fully "out there" yet with the procedure. I know, however, that H & W are doing full scale smp with Milena Lardi's technique. I think you said you sent some pm's already, but I would pm hairthere and call SMG and H & W to get the full scoop, as far as I know they are the only ones in North America that currently offer Milena Lardi's technique
  7. Nothing, that's just ignorance. Turkey and India are two of the most beautiful countries with some of the oldest and richest cultures in the world, anyone who doesn't want to travel there is missing out.
  8. I've never understood why people feel the need to endlessly defend their surgeon on these boards, you paid him and that's really all you owe him. In the case of unfounded bashing I get it, but this is not a good result and deserves attention and explanation. All of this bickering from parties not involved is stupid and serves no point.
  9. "I had a thyroid problem" is always a good cover story
  10. If you go to the states no one can refuse you as it is illegal, I'd bet it is the same in the UK. Also you could go take a short train ride to Belgium, and see some of the top doctors there, I'm positive they would take care of you.
  11. As long as you're going in eyes wide open I wish you luck. I would consult with some top fue doctors and see how much donor they think you have available, get their opinion with your plan and then go from there.
  12. I would not plan on being able to shave down to skin after a transplant even with fue. You will most likely have visible scarring. I understand what you're saying about framing your face while shaving down, it just sounds like you're planning to have the best possible outcome from a transplant and I would be cautious about expecting the best. I have been around for awhile and I have yet to see anyone shave down to a zero guard after fue. Also many time smp does not take into scar tissue. I just don't want you to get into a situation where your hair transplant plan is predicated on the assumption that you will have minimal scarring and the smp will surely take into any scarring you do have, and then have that not be the case.
  13. Did they tell you they would throw away your extra grafts if you didn't pay extra? I'm not sure if it is just an issue of the hair needing to mature, the work looks a little pluggy to me, but maybe that is a result of the texture of the new hair. I would also suggest contacting the doctor and voicing your concerns.
  14. Fue is not scarless. You may be lucky and have great scarring that allows you to shave down to 1 or 0 gaurd, but you could be in a position where you experience bad scarring and have to keep the hair on the sides and back longer like a 3 guard. Here are some examples from mickey85's fue thread: Good scarring: Not so good scarring: My personal opinion on the subject is that if you're getting a hair transplant just so you can shave down, you should not have a transplant and just shave down.
  15. Like Blake said it is illegal in the U.S. for a doctor to refuse treatment based on your HIV status, I'm sure most European countries are the same, I would start looking at clinics in those locations. Also if you are intent on having a transplant in Turkey, I would look at the recommended clinics here as I'm sure they would operate on you. I would also be concerned about this clinics ability to perform a quality hair transplant if they are this medically ignorant, so it may be a blessing in disguise. I'm not sure what they mean when they say it would be dangerous for you unless they routinely pass infections onto their patients, so that was probably just a load of crap because they didn't want to operate on you.
  16. It should "gall" everyone that a person with such minimal loss is going to be a repair patient after going to a recommended surgeon
  17. My opinion is that it doesn't look good. For someone with minimal loss you should've easily been able to have a great result, if the issue is that the grafts you received were not enough then I would expect this to have been brought up by the clinic before the procedure. It is very obvious where your native hair ends and your transplanted hair begins, and your donor was taken from only one side and is very obviously thinned. I expect every recommended or coalition doctor on this site to produce standalone procedures regardless of future plans, and this does not meet those standards. IMO your hairline looked better pre-op than it does currently.
  18. I didn't stay at the guesthouse, I stayed at the Southway hotel which is about 3-5 minutes from the clinic. I'm not anti-social or anything but I do like my privacy, and the thought of staying in a sort of community house after the procedure wasn't really appealing to me plus I was traveling with someone. I have heard good things about the guesthouse, it just didn't sound like my cup of tea. Also Dr. Rahal has a recommended cab driver, I think his name is Ahmed (not sure though it's been awhile), and he is awesome, you call him and he is there in a few minutes and is a really friendly and understanding guy.
  19. Well then follow your doctors post-op instructions. Again who is your doctor?
  20. You want to take gentle shampoo like baby shampoo mix it with water in a cup or a spray bottle. Cover your scalp with it, but don't touch or rub the scalp. Wash with clean water and then let it air dry. Do this twice a day until you resume normal showering. You're also going to want to apply vitamin E oil or whatever your doctor suggests to the recipient area and something like polysporin to the donor closure. It is also a good idea to spray the recipeint area with a saline solution every couple of hours to keep it moist. Who was your doctor?
  21. You should be washing your head and should have starting the day after surgery. You just don't want to do it under the pressure of the shower head or touch the grafts. See my post above for what I did. As far as the donor closure you should be washing that with no fear of causing harm, get in there with your hands and some gentle baby shampoo and scrub it as much as you can tolerate. Did your doctor not give you any post op instructions? If not I would suggest following the instructions I posted on the first page from Dr. Rahal.
  22. Regardless of when you start taking normal showers you still should be washing your hair starting the day after the surgery using baby shampoo and warm water in something like a coffee cup. I hear a lot of you guys are talking about it like not washing your hair at all and that is a bad idea and will most likely lead to infection. When people are talking about waiting 5 days- 2 weeks i hope they are talking about normal showering and not hair washing completely. What I did was buy two spray bottles at the dollar store and filled one with soapy water and one with plain water. This allowed me to easily wash and rinse my head. I did this for 2 weeks per Dr. Rahal's instructions and then after 2 weeks started showering normally.
