  1. Well Stuart i hope you are planning to refund any orders that you are not able to fulfil in a timely manner, even if by no direct fault of your own. Although setting up a proper supply chain and CS department (or lack thereof) is your responsability i can see how it's frustration for all. But you can't be keeping customers on the hook.
  2. Well i can't deny that i'm getting sides from 5% minox. Anyone get systemic sides from the 5% foam but had success using 2% without any sides? I wonder if i should give up on that completely or scale down to the 2% in the hopes of not feeling any systemic side effects. Side effects i'm getting is a racing heart beat for 5-10 minutes on occasion / minor occasional chest pains / occasional faint pain down the arm / my ears can pop all within a few hours of the application. Messed up. Sucks 8( Anyone have experience with this?
  3. some people make themselves feel better by putting others down, just the way life is most people give up on that act as they mature and get older though
  4. I'd be surprised if there was a difference in the effectiveness of the scented vs unscented versions tbh.
  5. A definite improvement, best of luck the rest of the way
  6. Look at the bright side, if you are taking Propecia for life then that means it's effective and the side effects are non-existant to tolerable. That's a good thing for someone seeking to address hair loss Also, i would say foreseable future instead of for the rest of your life. After all, hopefully, newer more effective solutions will eventually surface. Additionally, perhaps when you get old enough you can say fuck it, i'm 70, i don't care about my hair anymore.
  7. More suspicious? Less powerful? Whomever this guy is really wasn't thinking very much when he said what he said. Most powerful men are older and older men are more likely to be impacted by MPB.
  8. I do have a feeling that azazelgs' 1st language isn't english. And the title well, 1st impression for me is that he was giving up and was going to stop caring. Nothing too crazy
  9. It's really hard to gauge with such short hair, afterall that's why people go short like that. Truth be told, like the others i was expecting alot worse, along the lines of nothing at all left on top. But i understand the whole messed up feeling thing. You can't let that it get the best of you though, easier said then done i know.
  10. his window of opportunity is always going to be small, this is as big as it gets for him hope he gets good results, even though he didn't go with the best of the best that doesnt' mean it's going to be a botched job
  11. Came across this less recent but very informative thread on med shedding, thought it might interest you: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/148765-shedding.html
  12. Thanks for the feedback. I actually had to stop using Rogaine as i was experiencing minor chest pains and periods where i felt overwhelming anxiety perhaps once a day that started shortly after i began and ended shortly after i stopped. I do intend to give it another go,hoping it was just a coincidence but then that would beg other questions.
  13. Hi Jamind, I'm interested in your experience with Minox. How did those symptoms impact you? Just a higher BPM? Did that manifest itself in other ways? Reason i ask is that I started up Rogain Foam 5% and shortly after i felt very different. Very minor chest pains and an extreme feeling of stress at least once a day (which i'm told could be due to an increased heart rate) for a not so neglible amount of time. After stopping, both symptoms went away fairly rapidly. I'm going to try Foam again and see if the same thing happens again but i have a feeling that i'm suceptible to sides more commonly found in the oral version due to systematic absorbtion which is essentially what i presume was happening to you and what may be happening to me.
  14. Hi Beef, I would recommened that you take the time to educate yourself about the side effects of Finasteride prior to commencing. Many people don't have sides but a not so negligible percentage does. It's a good idea to fully understand all the dynamics that may be involved in starting up a medication, what to look out for in respect to potential sides and ultimately making a decision to keep using or move on to other options depending on the side effects vs the results you are getting. You are bound to end up having questions and having the answers before you start is a good strategy IMO. Adding Nizoral as a shampoo twice a week in conjunction with Finesteride and/or Minoxidyl is never a bad idea. While it's not FDA approved for hair growth some research suggests it may be effective, regardless, it's generally considered as an excellent complement to the two afore mentioned drugs. Essentially (in my opinion) the big 4 in no particular order are as follows: 1- Finasteride (Propecia) 2 - Minoxidyl (Rogaine) 3 - Hair transplant 4 - Ketoconazole (Nizoral) As for the wife well, that's up to you. Personally I recommended involving her and getting her support/input as you go thru the decision process. Additionally if you really want to educate yourself on the subject matter, i'd recommended visiting this thread http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/160522-spex-new-hair-project-excellent-read.html. While i haven't purchased it yet (i plan to) it's getting great feedback, not just from people like you and I but from some of the best hair transplant surgeons in the world.
  15. LOL now now! Ottawa is a beautiful city and so is Brussels! Both are capitals and nice places to visit, i've been to both so i should know. Of course it's not a Paris or a London or an NYC but really they are quite worthy of visits HT or not While the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_by_quality_of_living doesn't necessarily consist the best place to visit, both these cities rank in the top 15 worldwide so they are hardly backwater destinations and are world class cities in every respect.
  16. The makers of Rogaine state that if shedding goes on for longer then two weeks after you start using, that you should stop usage and consult a doctor. I know that some people say that shedding is a good sign but that's not the official stance in respect to the product. I do believe that shedding consists of losing more than 100 hairs a day.
  17. While dying hair isn't gentle on the hair itself, it doesnt impact the follicule? And damaged short hairs are quite easy to recover from compared to say someone with long hair. I know that dying hair can actually create a thicker appearance. At least it did for me when was into adding blond to my hair.
  18. do you have a before picture? it's very difficult to compare without a baseline
  19. best of luck with the HT, hope you get everything you wanted out of it \
  20. if anything nizoral is supposed to remove itching looking back i wish i would of started using it a very long time ago but i knew less then do you see red spots on your scalp after use? if so that would be an indicator that you should stop you could cease using it to see if the itchiness goes away
  21. meet and consult with them all and then decide IMO it's a big enough decision with a large enough price tag that it's worth the trouble although i will say, i love the idea that Rahal's home base is about 5 minutes away from my work so if i ever do decide to go the HT route, Rahal will be my choice due to proximity and reputation!
  22. some people are not rational maybe he was trying to see how firm they were and tested them only to end up pulling them out
  23. if minox caused major dandruff then i would recommend using with Nizoral 2% or 1% twice weekly to mitigate against drandruff and seeing how that goes you can read up on Nizoral here if you so wish
