  1. Hi Adams55, You can get both generic 5mg, proscar (5mg) of finpecia 1mg all from Uk finasteride.info. This will save you a packet, ay you can see from above post ?90 quid for 3 months x 4 = 360 quid, which is not bad some places charge 60 a month! Finpecia is less than 60p a day and you dont have to cut the drug, its been working great for me, the site is legit and they give you super quick service.
  2. Only in the Us do you get lawsuit after lawsuit, the litigation system in america cries out for this stuff. Any way in to a technicality and its a bloody lawsuit, Try it again but taper urself up slowly over a good 6-8 weeks this is a lifelong drug so take ur time with it uk r
  3. Without doubt finpecia has not only closed the gap with some sparse hair loss in the crown vertex but also it has stopped the little hairs I used to find alarmingly on my pillow daily, i.e miniturization. I've had no sides I used the taper schedule from uk finasteride it worked a treat,
  4. Dude, dustaride is a 2nd generation sht blocker designed again for prostate hyperplasia, yes it is more effective in blocking DHT, does it translate to more effective protection for hair folicles on the scalp. theory says yes , evidence is yet to be proven. It is more potent and more expensive and more potency usually comes with a trade of of increase in side effects, not always but most of the tim eesp when the pathway or mechanism is the same. Dustaride amongst clinicians for hair loss is left as a last resort, much like treating any illness. As example Blood pressure went through the round from beta blockers, to calcium channel blockers, to ace inhibitors to angiotensin receptor antagonists, they all work but in different ways , in that mix came minoxidil - loniten by brand, that is the most effective blood pressure medication ut it is left for treatment resistant blood pressure and for hospital - or cardiac surgeon administartion, just so happened that it gave a mushroom growth of hair at high doses 100mg etc. think of dustaride in a similar way, last resort. Side effects can become transient i.e they can go away with time with rogaine again it seems to work more on the vertex and crown/ mid scalp rather than hairline, you will most likely need a ht to build a strong hairline . The amount of coverage 2000 grafts will give u is dependent totally on the individual, thickness of donor hair, hair characteristics and skill set of the surgeon creating the artistic illusion of more hair, using all the modern ht techniques such as lateral slit, dense packing skilled techs and ultra fine dissection etc. if you working the hairline you will typically need more as a world class surgeon who will be ale to create a natural hairline will use single hair grafts in the very front and build it back with the the 2 grafts hairs then 3's ect. Again it comes down to the luck of the draw from the donor arae with regards to how many of these types of hair grafts you have. if addressing the crown or mid scalp for example you would use multipe hair grafts not singles. its too individual to generalize. you will only know when they harvest your grafts in the actual surgery. $4 a graft seems on the cheaper side of the spectrum. see my HT's as an example o approx 2000 grafts can do note first ht 2250 was spread over a wide area and the 2nd HT we packed 1450 into just the hairline and only 400 into the mid scalp.

  6. sufcfed 0.25mg on a finpecia tablet isalmost impossible to acieve cutting that tiny pill into 4's is really not worth the hassle. you might get away with 0.5mg i.e half a tab. If you are really that bothered about taking the smallest amount to caox yourself into it. 0.5mg is low enough, just titrate yourself up taking more tabs each week i.e for example week 1 - 1x0.5mg week 2 2x 05mg say one on monday one on thursday nice and far aaprt within the week. week 3 3x 0.5mg and so on]]carry on until you are taking 0.5mg every day this will be over the space of seven weeks and you will still be at sub therapeutic dosages. then start going up to 1mg so again week 1 - 1x1mg week 2 2x1mg and so on. That is the ultra safe slow way to do it giving you body the most gentle exposure to the drug. This will take 14 week to get to 1mg per day forget about 0.25mg. I simply titrated myself from over 7 weeks using 1 more tab a week each week over 7 weeks worked a treat. ]
  7. StateofFlorida Hey man your im the right place. minoxidil foam is a must finateride is a must they both work very well. these will be your staple medications pretty much for as long as you are willing to fight for your hair. Its gonna be a life long commitment both in terms of routine and cost so bear that in mind Your gonna need to get a feel of what is going on in this forum, you will see common themes and many individuals giving feedback and advice from their own experiences and also others. Its a jouney that is almost like having a another child, I would also suiggest you get maximum hair minimum loss by spex, it will give you every thing you need and make you understand visually and emotionally what hair loss and going about treating it successfully entails. You will find it a resource you come back to again and again. best Uk R
  8. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM This is a BS crappy spun off piece of caca. 'john kelby' is a ficticious person who has never had bair loss, if you watch the video right through to the end you will see as the post mentios above that the same jOhn kelby goes on to pitch on another product staright away. I actually bought it just to see what all the hype was all about and its all 100% crap, its selling the hope and dream that eating a load of herbs and making an organic potion out of nettles and blueberries is going to make your hair tyhick and full again. THis guy is just a voice over for a complete piece of geenric crap taht they have spun off to make money out of the naive and desperate all of us! AVOID.
  9. Here are some updates 28 days post of 2nd Ht with Dr feller a common theme is down time and concealing any work done the major ball ache of this whole show. I thought this might be useful as I was given a true monks haircut in the last procdure so here you can see some post op pics and also some with concealer, and you will see that it's pretty hard to see that Ive had a HT Ive moved over from nanogen/toppik to caboki fibres for me personally they are far better, they stick to the hair not the scalp the charge is excellent meaning you dont need to layer on any hair spray etc to 'lock them in'and for me again they just blend beautifully to your own hair. Each to their own though I guess it comes doen to your hair characteristics ultimately. Also Ive taken a pic of the scar at 28 days, man we had trouble finding it! It's a very thin scar already, this will be a peach a year down the line. Considering this was HT 2 and ive had oer 4000 grafts knoked out of the donor area to have a scar that thin and healing well is a bonus It looks as good as the first one if not even better when I was getting the staples out from the same person from last time round. I grew my hair as long as possible so that at least you get option to cover up post op, something worth considering when going for a strip sessiion. I did the same last time round although I had an extended time of again no one really knew anything , except im going through a shit hair style period! best, Uk R
  10. I had 2250 whicj to be honest the way I wiore my hair was good enough, but Im a bit of a perfectionist and alway want the aboslute best out of anything I put tim einto and since hair transplantation is a massive commitment and a life long jouney with meds and the rest t me it made sense to get the desired result . S i went back in just 3 weeks ago for a 2nd one just under 2000 grafts drped the hairline and packed in grafts in the mdi scalp. In terms if detection that really is dependant on what area was woked on and shaved down adn also hwo many grafts were used. Looking at yoor pic it looks like you wold need it on the top of the head in which case if you grow your surrounding hair as long as possible you will be able to cover it over the grafts and yoru scar will also be well hidden. Add som econcealer and no one will ever know. Ive got darlk skin and I'm lucky apparently my phioslogy was perfect fpr HT in thet I had great donot laxity and dont bleed at all, in fact hardly scabbed up after the procedure. You will need the typical 2 weeks down time to get rid of the scabs and redness, I alway plan HT around bank holidays etc this time I did it before Christmas so I could use the long public holidays
  11. Your gonna be loving that full result!

  14. I agree with Spex, Just for the record I initially started on Propecia and spent over 700 a year on it then discovered the generic option through these forums and switched over, Ive been on finasteride - generic for 2 years and it works, I have had two Ht with Dr Feller and incidently he dug up the pics of my crown from 18 months ago and we could see where the finasteride had worked. I also don't have any miniturization and hair on the pillow which was happening prior to using finasteride. The good news for you is that your so young and still with a great head of hair that you can start now and see the effect. Spex said the key thing which is legitimate generics - as long as you get the good stuff generic is and always will be as good as the orignal brand drug. Think of it this way, 80% of the drugs prescribed by the GP's in the Uk have to be generic that is a stipulation from the primary care trusts so that means for example if you had a life threatening illness such as very high blood pressure, diabetes etc, guess what you would be given a generic drug, you have to put this in to context. its an exact formula match, it scientifically and logically can not be any different or they simply would not get the license to be sold and the NHS certainly would not be advocating millions of generic drugs for every single illness under the sun being prescribed every single minute of the day from high blood pressure generics to generic Prozac for ultra depressed patients at risk of suicide I just hate seeing guys buying over priced medication because they think there is a difference in the effect. UK R
  15. Stay away from the UK period More expensive per graft, too many bad cases that need to be repaired by going over to the US. Your situation might be suitable for very small procedure via FUE get your self over to NY a favourite for brits. Dr Feller does what he calls 'postage stamp' lunchtime sessions for cases that may be like yourself i.e. minor cases that do not warrant a lot of grafts. his reputation is first class and he creates consisternt great work - reserahc him here and see for yoruself. forget the Uk, I personally went to the US after researching on this forum for many months it was a no brainer. best Uk R
  16. bjk1903, Your 23 years old, unfortunatley your already starting down the hair loss prevention journey, and boy is it a journey. Dude think about this logicaly PRP/acell etc has got no crystal clear evidence based outcome data, it just hasn't, im talking about consistent results which are repeatable, with specfic units/ doses and the like. the body of evidence is just not there, neither is a standard protocol of how to do it, when to do it, frequency and the rest of the crap that goes with PROVEN treatments. At the price you have to pay per treatment your gonna be racking up a serious amount of cash, and starting at your age YOU WILL ONLY keep looking for more way to keep your hair! thousands of dollars for PRP with ZERO garauntee??? The journey has started and the shitty think is that hair loss is progressive so where will yoru hair be 1 year 5 years form now? that still makes you under 30 years old. How much are you gonna spend in the next 5 years on this? With regards to finasteride you really need to give that a shot at a fraction of the cost and also conevneice it's worth it as every single day that goes by the DHT is killing of your precious hair follicles, this time next week more of those hairs would now be under the attack of DHT, starting to slowly lose their body and start miniturizing every single day of every single week. Soon more and more hairs will be on your pillow that used stand proud on your head. All because of DHT Its such a simple fix that works for so many people you have to think LONG term in terms of finance , maintance routines, and the rest of it. Think of it this way, finasetride was originally created for prostate cancer and the dose is 5mg DAILY! hair maintanence is 1mg a day so your already taking 4x less than what that original compound was designed for. If I were you I would get on finasteride and taper your self up 1 pill extra a week, slowly introducing the DHT blockade into your body's system therefore not shocking it into an adverse side effect reaction. Side efefcts are transient they go away once you stop the medicatin, yes there are some people that say they got a permanent reaction, there arecalso some people who hair transplants don't work these caaes are so rare you have to give it a shot, you are probably more statistically likely to get run over by a car than get the permanent sides, its all relative. You could be looking at your fix right in front of you you have to try man Its along term commitment emotionally, financially and socially that the money you would spend on a few PRp treatments is many years of finasteride and regaine which are proven to work. Best UK R
  17. I agree, get on the DHT blockers as soon as poss and use the foam. You may preseve the crown but I think for you the issue may well be hairline and temples which I think woud need a procedure to match the density of the rest of your head. Still you got a lot! So would want to keep as much of it as poss starting today!
  18. I also used loniten (oral minoxidil) I started on 2.5, then 5, then 10mg per day, well below the maximum 100mg for treatment resistant Blood pressure. i have to say it does def work, regrowth occured in the crown and good density thickening up. the issue for me was increased facial hair again under the cheeks and i also noticed more hair on my hands and ends of my wrists, became a little too wolf like for my liking, that was the only reason I gave it up. No other side effects interms of cardiac ect. I found out about it from a family Doctor who is now retired but back in the day when he was a full time GP he was telling me about a guy who simply could not get his blood pressure controlled and the last resort is loniten it is now hospital only for treatment resistant blood pressure, but way back when it first came out Gp's could use it. Anyway what got me excited was that the patient was 50 years old and bald like Kojack, he came back 6 months later with JET black hair and the Doc quoates ' mushroom growth'! I think there is def results to be had but at what financial cost and what side effect cost? I think that kind of response is from the high end of the dosage limit for controlling blood pressure, would you get those results from the 5-10mg being tried out as an adjunct to proven medicated therapy? It's unethical and too high a dose to ever get any raw empiracal data on and who knows what the long term effects wil ever be in normotensive patients? It looks like it has a dose dependent efficay curve the more you take the more you get out of it but also the more sides will occur. Get on the foam that will work with dermatch much better, or you have to get into a religious routine of waking your self up 2 hous b4 normal slapping it on so it can absorb then going about your normal routine, you should at least put it on before bed. the foam will also not irritate your scalp and skin either. the combined effect could be good with oral plus foam, who knows......... UK r
  19. I used aloe vera shampoo, found it was very gentle and if there is any anecdotal properties from the aloe might as well take it for sake of it! After the staples were out back to whatever you fancy each to their own it wont make much difference
  20. Hi adams55, mate your doing the right thing getting on teh meds asap. I Reckon propecia will do the job, though I can't say fro sure as we have no reference in terms of pics, but from what your saying the two thing syour ve got regaine and propecia may well be all you need. As mentioned earlier there is some theory around using nizorol for such a small ost you might as well get on that as well 2x a week. I have to admit I had some side effects first time round with propecia and hit the sex drive so much that it went in reverse! Not to scare you or anything , its just some guys get it and some guys have zero probs. That being said I went of it for several months and everything came back to normal. I then gave it another shot after some advice from other forum members this time round I tapered the dose up slowly and incredibly I had zero side effects and the finasteride is woking a dream,, No more miniturized hais every day on my pillow! So I would def advise approaching the medication as I did as it may well minimize any side effecst you may get.
  21. Guys, I hit the weights and all that as soon as my staples were out I did that for my first HT 18 months ago with a tremendous result from Dr Feller and Im doing it now just had my 2nd HT I'm 21 days post op I was back on the squats and bench press and running as soon as the staples were out To be honest I was exercising after 7 days nothing that put pressure on the back of the head but things like pullups, leg weighst etc NOT a PROBLEM , none zero, nothing will happen to your grafts worry about other stuff protect yoor donor area form excessive pressure and stretch as long as you dont feel anything it's fine.
  22. Forget the UK, and get your self over to the states farjo will cost ?7500 for 2000 grafts at this exchange rate you will be better of in the US and there is more choice for proven well respected surgeons as are mentioned many times on this site. For example 2000 grafts with Dr Feller - perfect for us Uk guys as he is based in New York is gonna cost you nearly ?2000 less. Even though you have to pay another ?500-?700 for the trip and a few days stay it's worth it from the body of evidence and results his and other US clinics consitently create. I was much like you looking for UK clinics and like you said too much sales and not enough results based evidence. Its good to have a look around NY as well! Pick the right tim eand flights are pretty cheap it a minimal extra cost for a maximum possible result I would never go to the UK - higher prices and so little to show for it UK R
  23. A nice account and I have to say a very similar situation from my perspective as well. You have pretty much nailed the sentiment I feel towards the whole process of dealing with hair loss and taking action to go do something about it. I'm from the UK also and boy I nearly went to Europe and even considered good old Harley Street on pure convenience not so much cost. Much like you I ended up on this Forum after pounding google for the answers I was looking for. I was under the assumption hair transplants were 50/50 in that there is a 50% chance of it working, I heard this from GP's! Boy how little even the medical field know about this procedure and industry! That is what this Forum is all about and it is a great place to research and get your own informed decsion for sure. I can't think how the hell I got hold of Spex either! I know I short listed 3 or so clinics and Dr Feller was one of them. After speaking to Spex he advised and guided me so well in terms of the 'long game' the expectations and the supply vs demand and of course hair greed im there right now! - Just had my 2nd Surgery. Spex did not sell anything but just gave it to me straight, Speaking to Spex and really uncovering what was the best plan of action to make sure I have the best long term game plan and also making sure short term needs were met. I chose Dr Felller from the oure body of evidence that resides in this forum alone and also his profile. Indeed Dr Feller is as much an artist as he is a skilled surgeon, in terms of my first Ht I'm still amazed at how just 2250 grafts makes such a huge difference in how the whole head of hair behaves and looks. he certainly has a reputation for getting awesome results from much less grafts I see from other clinics. You know a lot of things are subjective but results aren't and never should be. If you are looking for the standard to measure hair transplantation results from you should start with Dr Feller and compare other surgeons and clinics to the body of consistent results produced. Never factor location into such a big life changing decision but base it on results
  24. Hi Amthello, Your going through all the usual emotions, feelings, questions and confusions! It's normal LOL. I'm pretty similar to you in your hair loss prfile, I also started looking into a HT around 30, and I also only wanted FUE as I look quite good with a shaved look, did many times, but after more and more research and understanding the limitation short commings and advantages of each type of procedure I went with the long game and strip or FUT. Here is what you need ot think about, and this is quite relevent as im going through this right now. Hair loss is progressive it will only get worse, even though it may look like it has stablized it may just kick in to another level at any time. The issue with FUE is that it does not harvest as much grafts as a good long strip session, purely becuase the grafts are taken from a large area as opposed to a small thin 1cm or so strip. So in the future if you have more and more hair loss the areas available to get grafts out from fue will be less and less in order to keep the density high enough in the donor area so that area does not look sparse. A strip session has normally a better yeild as the grafts are disesscted under microspe with much less torsion, shear and pulling forces which can damage the grafts under a surgeon who is not skilled enough and hence can reduce the amount of grafts that actually survive and grow. Now I had strip first time round it left a thin scar I can shave down to a number 2/3 easily its the thickness the edge of a playing card. Now I went for another one for pure hair greed and the love of it and this time round the surgeon showed me how much density I had lost in an area i did not even think was a problem until I saw the b4 and after pics from the top. It would have been a probelm a few years later if I did not think about getting it addressed now. So here is my point I now needed extra work done and thank God I went fro strip which gives the higher more stable yields so I had it all covered. You should think of the long term game, how much more hair will you lose in 10, 20 years time? Because you will lose some more. better have as much donor supply as possible to keep that in reserve and be able to address issues later down the line. Consider FUE for smaller tweaks under 1000 grafts like temples or hairlines. By going strip first FUE can then be used to get more grafts when your out of Strip supply due to no more laxity in th scalp ect. If you go FUE first it then leaves sparse donor are which a strip session would not maximize the yield from - think about the donor are all pitted and missing hairs from where the grafts were taken and compare that to a virgin donor area where every hair on the strip can be used. A good surgeon wil be able to give you a small sized scar although healing is really an individual thing based on your own phisiollogy. You often don't need to pack more than 25 hairs per square centimetre to get a quality result so bear that in mind. hope that helps UK R
  25. Hair 1111, Feller is your man for your situation, he's one of the best FUE guys around and he does not use a lot of grafts to get great results. Don't ever factor location into your decision. best, UK R
