I remeber asking about the placement of the grafts and why the techs do it, I was told, m the docs make the incisions and the grafts can only go in the way of the incision, so long as the doc does the incision angulation is already determined. Also it took a team effort, and I do think it should be supervised by the doc and examined closley when the job is done and if the doc says it looks good he is responsible, but I think we all feel more comfortable the more involved the doc is.

I went to shapiro and loved the staff!!! One thing I would have done different is taken that second valium. I drove myself and drove home, if there is a next time I would take a cab. Sitting in that chair for so long is the hard part and I know that second valium would have helped me relax.

This is a perfect example of why this forum is so important. Thanks Pat for protecting people and having top docs. I would not have taken the plunge if not for the info I learned on this site.

some docs only do 1 a day, so they can focus all thier attention one one customer.

dhuge67 , Also I remeber you had your mind made up to use your doc, regaurdless what people had to say about it. Now you are attacking this community after asking for people opinions, you are so defensive about it almost like your dating him.....

I dont understand why people have a problem with Pat, if makes money from this website. If you serve a purpose and help people you should get paid, if you serve a lot of people and help a lot of people you should get paid a lot!! If this site was being run by someone who didnt make any money and had no incentive to manage it, it would suck!!! I am a realestate agent and make big commisions, but i get paid for my service and am still ethical. I hope pat gets rich off this site!!!! he has helped a lot of people.

I am 3.5 months post op and was checking out people web sites on hasson and wongs site. It seems most people have considerable difference between 4-7 months and it thickens the rest of the year. I am with you patiently waiting.

hairForAll thanks!! Ok I am 3 and a half months post op and will be setting up my web log tommorrow , if I can figure it out, lol. I was on Hasson and wongs web site looking at peoples month by month pics, it seems between 3.5 months and forward is where results start to kick in, I cant wait!! Also I am now down 25 lbs and close to top shape!! I would recomend anyone who has a ht to, once you heal enough to go on a body transformation as well, and get into shape. It takes the focus of the "waiting" part so when your hair does come in you look good all over, a new you!! So anyway my update, I can see little hairs coming in. and try to document evry month now with over head shots as well. Thanks for the support!!

What kind of closure method did they use? Was the bleeding very little?

when you go through with a ht there is a downtime to heal. Then you have to wait for results. Its that downtime for a lot of us that we struggle with. We dont want our friends or family to see us or be the brunt of jokes. And its something most of us have to face, it helps a ton doing research and this forum makes it easy. I was scared too how would i look and so on, but I decided I would sacrifice and look maybe a little weird and for a while, (which turned out to only be a few days for me) so I would be happier in the long run. I think if you went to one of the docs on here and had a big session 3500+ you could loose that hair system and I think you would feel so much freedom from wearing a hair piece. Also in a few months people wont even remeber, we are our worst critics. good luck

I support Pats decision. I think a clinic is resposible for the work and the staff they choose to hire, lets face it we are not fixing a flat tire, this is someones life. I do appluad the doc for standing up and admitting the mistake. However he is responsible for the work he trusted the tech to do. Lesson is if you hire shotty staff they will take you down with them.

I agree with ts808. Any of those docs he mentioned would be great and have great reputations on this forum.

You can look at my pics. I went to shapiro medical and Dr rose was my doc. They cut my hair. I asked them to leave it as long as they could without interfearing with thier job. I think it was about 5-7 days you couldnt tell I had anything done. When i was back in the public 8 days later , people just thought I cut my hair shorter.

outhere , Right now our limitations is our donor area, it can only produce so much. If hair multiplicating (or cloning) becomes available it will be in a endless supply. So yes in theory you should be able to restore a full head of hair and very dense. Also you wont have a donor scar. I may be mistaken but I believe this is the goal.

I am with you b, I am watching this forum close. I think I will need one more ht to be where I want to be. It is fun to see the industry change for the better so fast. Bald is so yesterday, lol

My expirence was similair to your except with Dr Rose. I think if you choose Doc Shapiro, Rose, Keene, or Charles you will have a great expirence. Congrats, I will look forward to reading your up coming posts and seeing your pics.
