  1. Here are some photos taken at the Shapiro medical group April 10, 2006. I had ~2200 grafts transplanted from a strip into my front third to get the hairline back I had lost 10 years ago at age 25. Dr. Ron Shapiro performed the surgery and I could not be happier with the experience. From the moment I stepped into the office the morning of surgery to the time I left; I felt completely comfortable and confident in their care. It's hard to express in words my respect, appreciation and admiration for the SMG and Dr. Ron Shapiro in any way that hasn't already been expressed by his patients. Everything I had read about him and his group is spot on ??“ integrity, professionalism, a doctor who will not be satisfied unless you are, and one who absolutely loves what he does day in and day out. When you add all that up, you know you're dealing with one of the best. I know I'm only 14 days post op as I write this, but I do know I'm elated I did it, and have all the confidence in the world that things will turn out just great. If anyone has any questions about my surgery with Dr. Ron Shapiro I'd be more than happy to answer them. Thanks a million SMG!!!

  3. bro66, Nice one. I had to use it today. I've got two more days until staple removal - after a buzz cut, I think I'll be in the clear. John Se, You right on- I shouldn't care what my coworkers think. But, as we all do from time to time, I'm trying to duck as much shite as possible from the guys you know?
  4. Gents, How about starting a list of reasons you have to wear a hat to work to cover up your recent HT surgery? I know the truth is always the best policy but...

  6. Jasjeet, It is a spendy thing to do. I would contact the Shapiro group for all the details - they can explain everything ten times better than I can. They are very impressive and friendly. Good luck!
  7. Thanks a lot for the advice! I will keep you all posted with pics and words.
  8. Greetings all, First off, I'd like to say this is a top notch forum. Everyone is great about sharing their stories, insights and ideas in a candid way -I've gotten a lot of rich insight to what I've signed up to do this April 10. I'm scheduled with Dr. Ron Shapiro to get "2000+" (~2000-2500) grafts to get my hairline back that has been gone since I was 25. I'm 36 now and have been socking money away for this proceedure. I have a hairline almost exactly like "Muddpuppy's" - receeding, but still have a pretty good crop on the very top. My crown is a little thin, but at this point, my main focus is getting that hairline back. As you can imagine, I'm definately fired up. However, I want to make sure I'm all squared away before I hit the chair - and after I get up for that matter. Do you have any advice for me? You know, things you would have done or done diferently going in to and after your first surgery? Also, the 10th is a Monday. I plan to take that week off and need to return to work the following Monday. My coworkers don't know I'm doing this and would like to be sly about it when I return - I can't pull the hat thing off either. Do you guys have any tips on pulling this off? I'm not shy of the clippers - I've gone for periods of time with a shaved head... Thanks a lot for any replies. Cheers!
