  1. I am going in tomorrow for 2500+ with Dr rose. I met one of his past clients who had 2 procedures done, a very high profile person, and the results were amazing. I am pretty good at reading people, I do believe DR Rose tries to really understand you and what your goals are and if they are realistic, so I would say he a great communicater, at least thus far. I will have lots of pics to show of my before and afters. I am 32 have a strong hairline, not so strong temple and behind the hailine, hopefully filling that up so its not so patchy. The day of my HT Im coming home to take care of my kids(6,4,3) and my daughter has a slumber party the very next night, which I am a single dad and the only supervising adult, so I will have a very accurate story if you can hide under a hat unnoticable. And I will keep you posted as other posters helped me greatly.
  2. oh ya and one other thing, with the switch in dates my daughter has a slumber party, thursday ht, friday house full of kids, and I am the supervising adult, so I will have some very funny post coming up shorty. I wonder If i can sleep with a hat on, lol
  3. thanks Robert Ill do that, maybe you can delete that one I posted, id rather have better ones on here, thanks
  4. sorry the previous pic sucks, i just dont have any good ones, they are all to big of files
  5. see if this works, I have a strong hair line, but thin on top, doc said about 60cm2 in the hailine, but patchy 10-35 cm2, so my game plan is to get that all to match and density
  6. First of all I am not computer savy at all, I can turn it on, thats about it. I tried to upload a pic it said the file was to big, that it coold only goto 300 my file was 1837 or something, so Im not sure what to do. Ill try a different one
  7. well I can hide out for a couple weeks. They want to shave my head down to about 1/2-1inch on top, my sides are about 3-4, so im nervous how this will look.
  8. Gorphy, you and I will have about the same amount of grafts placed when its all said and done. Quetion to you, at what point in time is your donar scar unnoticable? Funny story, I asked people on here if they put there life on hold untill they were all healed, some said "no live life", now I have met a few women, I dont want to tell them about the ht. how long do I need to keep them at bay before going out with them with out them noticing. Do you think my donor will be totally undetectable as well as the recipient area. That way I can use the old, Im taking a break because im so busy with the holidays excuse. Thanks again for all of everyones input
  9. I just switched my surgery day from12-12 to 12-1, this is my first ht, of coarse Im like a woman before her wedding in a little panic, . My doc is Rose at shapiro. I also live very close to his office and would be willing to meet people in person and show my results. Im going in for 2500 hopefully more right . So guys give me the final pep talk. thanks

  11. when you say it would be noticable for a few months, why do you say that? head is red? tiny hairs? I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on this, One patient I met said he was back to work the next day and noone will notice, with out a hat on either. I have seen shapiro immediate post op pics and they do look incredible, in comparrison to some others I have seen on this forum. so trying to get a understanding from people who have work done at shapiro or by one of there docs, what to expect post op. If I could get some feed back that would be great. thanks
  12. AtlHairGuy , When you say you were back in court 7 days later, could you tell you had a ht? was it totally unnoticable by then? This is the part I have not toyally nailed down yet, wondering at what point are you back to pre-op stage? I understand the back will take longer, but in the recipient area. Thanks for your contributions on this site.
  13. great question, also where do you get toppik?
  14. I think Mathew Mconahay( not sure how to spell his name) had a ht. In a time to kill he looked pretty thin, but in how to loose a guy in ten days he was looking pretty thick
  15. I think I will lay low untill I get my stitches out at least. That would be quite a predicament, if I was on a first date and she wanted to run her fingers through my hair. What would I say "please leave my hair alone I just had a ht" lol. So I will lay low untill I am back to pre op. I think a lot would agree with me.
  16. Do you Know how dense they can pack any area in one session successfully? It seems density/ ht session has been the areas of improvement in the recent years.
  17. Gorphy, thank-you that was exactly what I was looking for. Im going to meet with Dr Rose and try to get my final game plan togather density will be at the top of that discussion. I am very fortunate that Shapiro medical is only 15 minutes from my home. Im less than 30 days from my ht, Ive only told my mom, I have a huge very close family. I will tell all of them at a later date. I just want to see if anyone will notice. Anyway my sister called and asked me if I could watch her kids, I guess I had to do the old ht shuffle and skirt around why I couldnt do it, lol. thanks again Gorphy
  18. does anybody know how many grafts per/cm can be done successfully in a single session? I am really trying to get an understanding of density and setting realistic expectations, thanks.
  19. does propecia also help thicken the shaft of your hair in that 4-7 months?
  20. My hairloss is somewhat like yours. Im trying to get a understanding about density, just a ball park guess, what do think your hair was per sq cm before your ht, and what do you think your density per cm is post op? Thanks

  22. Gorphy, Ya I was wondering if maybe the website was outdated. I have a fair amount of hair now. I have a pretty strong hairline, but behind the hairline its thin, and my hairline could be thickened up a bit. I am going to go in and chat with the doc next week to get a good idea of what to expect fom an outcome, Im hoping to go in for 2500-3000, but well see what the doc says. Also how is your progress coming?
  23. I was reading on Shapiros website that they can do 20-25 grafts per cm. I thought I read some post of people who went much more than that. Is 20-25 per cm about the norm to expect from a ht? Or can you go more dense than that? Also I have never tried toppic, where do you purchase this? Thanks for everyones help.
