Regular Member faiz0210 Posted July 5, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted July 5, 2023 (edited) Hey Everyone, I have been contemplating the thought of getting my hair transplant done for the past few years but finally I took the plunge and got my hair transplant done at Eugenix Gurgaon on 4th of July. Designing and Slitting was performed by Dr Somesh, extraction and implantation was done by senior technicians under the guidance of Dr Somesh. Total grafts transplanted were around 2500 and the whole surgery was hassle free. A slight pinch was observed during anesthesia, but post that I didn't feel a thing. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the staff kept inquiring about my well being during the whole process. I was not expecting the whole thing to go this smoothly but the team at Eugenix are very well trained at this. A little background about me. I am 34 years old and have been suffering from hair loss for the past 13-14 years now. I used to keep my hair short, hoping that it would not go from bad to worse, but my hair kept on thinning. Based on the recommendation that I got from this forum, I started taking Finasteride & Minoxidil for the past 3 years and observed a significant improvement in my hair density and growth. I felt I have reached maximum improvement through the meds and this is the right time to go ahead with transplant. Pics from 2020 before I started taking Finasterde : Also, I did a consultation with Dr Bhatti in 2020 by sharing the following pics and the recommendation that came from him was around 4700 grafts for both frontal and the crown area. Pics before the surgery : Pics after the surgery : Hoping to hear some feedback from the community members and let the waiting game begins. Senior Member Shadman Posted July 5, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted July 5, 2023 Great work by Dr. Somesh. It looks like the density which was given would produce outstanding result In your case, finasteride was a game changer. And you should thank yourself for that you didn't go with Dr. Bhatti 😃 𝐄𝐮𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐱 (𝐃𝐫.𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐡) | 𝟏𝟖𝟎𝟑𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐬 | 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 | 𝐁𝐚𝐝 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝗕𝘆 𝗘𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘅

It did significantly helped in strengthening of the existing hair and prevented further hair loss. Kept my hair very short before starting on the medication, would be difficult to do side by side comparison but crown did improved. Tropical minoxidil 5% and 1 mg finasteride both once daily a few hours before sleeping. 2 hours ago, Puchuka said: You look significantly young for your age. I don't know about gains but hairloss has significantly reduced. In which month you saw regrowth?

Any reason you haven't hopped back on Min yet? Doctor recommended to start with fin and some multivitamins. I can start Min on the non transplanted hair as of now and after 3 months on transplanted hair. Although I am hoping, finasteride can do some magic and I don't have to go back on minoxidil. One less medication to worry about. 11 hours ago, Rawkerboi said: Everything looks right on track. I hope you are having Fin daily Yeah, I am not skipping finasteride. I am mostly worried about my existing hair as of now. I am hoping it can go back to where it was before the transplant. 8 hours ago, shadow_god said: Have you started shedding ? How is the shed? Eugenix Hair Sciences
@faiz0210 Thank you for the update. The shedding period is continuing and lasts for approx. 90 days from the date of your procedure, which is normal. After that, you'll experience gradual growth month on month, please do not worry about the shedding. Keep us updated on your progress. Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted September 4, 2023 Valued Contributor Share Posted September 4, 2023 Two months post op would have to be the worst place to be in. You are slap bang in the middle of the ugly duckling. This is where (and why) patience is so important.
