Looking good and on track. Almost through the ugly duckling phase. How long did it take for the redness to stop/get rid of?

Thanks - good question re: redness. I've definitely seen a reduction in redness from weeks 10-12. However, it still is slightly red on both sides. Still of the view that I'll see where everything is month 6 (think it's the best mentally or I'd just forever worry).

That is looking great. Shockloss is almost gone.

And now all the good is coming soon. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks @OliverAtom - definitely improved on the shockloss, have just been using top min which I think has helped. Hopefully I'll get some good growth over next 3 months :)

Dr Bicers fees as of June 2023 were 2.5 EURO per graft. I had 2500 grafts so total came to 6250 EUROS. This didn't include flights or accommodation etc.

Thanks for sharing.  Still waiting on a response from them since I responded with their questions. Not had a quote from the.... But they asked me for name, number etc... passport?!! Bank details!!!!!!!??!!!! Wtf!?! Send me a quote first ffs! Lol

Just checked my initial conversation, I wasn't asked in that order. I was given a quote after I'd provided medical information and was given a quote a few days later, after which I gave the information you've been asked for. Though they may do things differently now... sorry I can't be of more help.

120 DAY UPDATE

Definitely a solid progress month as pictures hopefully show. Try to give honest images, though a little difficult as lighting always affects it so being as consistent as I can. At present, the right temple (bottom images) is definitely fuller than the left temple. A few reasons anecdotally why this is. 1) I have more grafts in this area so will appear denser initially due to larger surface area. 2) Had less hairs on this side shed during first 2 months and so more of these hairs give impression of thicker. 3) The way I style my hair, this side hairs fall on top of each other more. 4) Most importantly, I've seen enough reports of uneven hair growth during early periods for it not to be something I'm particularly worried with.

I'm hoping this is just temporary and is a small concern, it's more noticeable in person imo. I'm hoping things balance themselves out over the coming 8+ months. But to be totally honest, am just really pleased to have any hair at all there at the four month stage. Going to get a haircut today, so will update the shock-loss accurately in a second post.

Shock Loss Update
Went for a tidy up trim today. Thought it'd be useful for others who are experiencing shock loss. Results are probably a bit of an illusion as opted not to go as short on the back. However, you can definitely see an improvement in density in the previously shock-loss affected mid area, even if it were to be cut shorter. It's definitely not 100% normal, and there is some evidence of shock-loss on left and right mid area, but it's improving. The lower-shock loss affected areas are a little slower, and can be seen slightly in longer hair. I'll probably next month get it cut to a 1/2 on the back to see where things are really at (though definitely won't style it this way long-term)

*Month 5 Updates*

No comparison pics - apologies, but you can compare from above. Pictures taken with flash as normal. Both sides started to thicken up a bit, I'm pleased with where things are at for month 5. Some are further along than this but I've seen month-to-month progress and that's all I really care about.

I often take close ups to see progress of new hairs. This was taken today on the left temple, which has a little bit of catching up to do. Tons of new growth on the way so looking forward to next couple of months.

*Month 6 Updates*

A few more pictures, has thickened up a bit. Still noticing a lot of new growth, particularly on close up photos so excited for the next few months. Had a haircut to celebrate the 6 month mark, also so the donor area could be analysed properly to look at the shock loss. Had it taken to a 0.5 at the back, which I wouldn't normally do but was curious to see extent of it, not 100% there but good enough. Broadly, pretty pleased with where things are for 6 months and think for a half way point it's doing well.

Would be curious to get some more opinions. Any questions about my experience with Dr Bicer feel free to ask too.

Your donor looks very good, especially with this hair cut!

Hair line looks natural and your hair will get better and better in the upcoming months.

Can’t wait to see the final result.

Thanks Martador. Really happy for a half way point, will keep updating monthly, hopefully thickness continues to improve.
