So my journey started from 16th September .I drove from my hometown to Gurgaon with my Dad and it took me around 4-5 hours to reach there . I booked a different hotel as I wanted my complimentary stay in Hilton to be after the surgery . In evening I was called up my clinic for the postoperative tests for anaesthesia and BP .My BP was a bit on higher side that was 140/80  as I didn’t sleep well the previous day and drove 4-5 hours and was bit tired and I was given one medicine so that I could calm down and sleep well and get ready for the Finale .

I was told to reach the clinic by 9am

17th September

I reached clinic at sharp 9 am and met Mr Rajat a very friendly guy he gave me a quick info on how’s my surgery going to be by checking my hairline and everything and after like 15-20 min I got chance to meet my Surgeon Dr Priyadarshini Das . She drew a hairline we discussed about it for around 10 mins and estimated 2200 grafts for which and then went for pre-op photo shoot and during that time I just felt that my hairline can be modified as I had other couple of pics which I thought could give a better idea and then I requested one of the staff member to call her back and showed her those pics too and she figured out that my hairline could go a bit lower (a very tiny bit ).

After the pre-op photo shoot , head wash and then I went to OT-5 which is just left of entrance .There I met the Anaesthesia lady I just forgot the name exactly I think she was Deepika /Dipti and she gave me Local Anaesthesia and to be honest I don’t felt that much pain because of her speaking to me plus I already had root canal kind of dental issues which made my pain threshold bar to be on upper side and she also praised me on that and I felt happy .In some time my head was numb and then Dr Priyadarshini came and started making slits and in couple of hours I think 900/1200 slits were already made and than we took lunch and I had lunch with my Dad who was really worried as he thought it’s a very risky surgery and there would lot of needles work in head close to brain .But I already convinced him earlier and told them that Eugenix is a very professional and trustworthy clinic and so after the lunch all slits were done . So next crucial period started where the extraction took place by the two technicians and the the two other support staff one for loading grafts and other to pass on the implanter pen , spraying the head along with the anaesthesia lady . I think anaesthesia on the back side hurts more than on the frontal part . So whatever phase that was it went and there was break in between that I took and drank some Diet Coke took 5-7 mins of rest and then the process was continued .During the end Dr Priyadarshini came and saw the work done by technicians and then made 7 more slits and then the implantation was completed she again checked the work done and felt satisfied when I asked her of what she thinks about it .

After that I was drove to Hilton by the Eugenix cab driver and my Dad already checked in earlier . I was overall feeling good and positive and first couple of days are really crucial and by god’s grace all went well .

Sharing the pre-op and post op pics. Please look at those and do comment on what you all think .

So then as I decided earlier of staying in Gurgaon till my first head wash and also went for donor area clean up every day at the clinic .On the 7th day I had the head wash and due to too much rain around during the weekend I was forced by weather to stay another day at hotel and then had my 2nd head wash at clinic too and almost 90% of scabs were gone till my 2nd head wash .Went home and now it’s 14 day Post op

Sharing my 13 days post op pics which I shared with clinic too. Please do comment on your reviews on this

Good luck on your journey!

Dr Das is a great lady. It looks like she managed to really dense pack your hair too. It actually looks even more dense packed than my hair after the first headwash. So i'm thinking you'll get a pretty great result.

Just push through Months 2 & 3, they're the worst to get through and then things start to slowly improve month to month. There's no way to tell exactly how each person responds and what timescale, but remember it's a 12+ month journey.

I don't know if you're taking medication, but it will definitely help you and you should take it if you can.

Good luck!

The worrying part for now is I haven’t noticed shedding yet and it’s already 15 days post op only just couple of hairs here and there and some of the transplanted hair are still very small and growth is real slow for them .

And I am facing some dandruff not a very huge amount but its noticeable to me and for that I reached out the clinic and they have prescribed me for ketostar lotion shampoo or ketozinol shampoo twice a week in case if I notice more dandruff . What did you do to get rid of these white flakes/dandruff ?

And Yes I am taking the Hair Facts multivitamin cyclical therapy and fin.

Man, i have a big dandruff/dry skin problem. I don't know what the active ingredient is in that shampoo they gave you, but if its Ketoconazole,  then it didn't personally help my dandruff. Neutrogena T-Gel is what helped me. It really worked in helping to clear up the majority of my dandruff but i still need to use it every few weeks or so at least to help with inflammation and dandruff. Luckily addressing Vitamin D deficiency and also maybe not being as dehydrated can help. So aim to drink more water in a day.

Good luck, hopefully the shampoo helps because not sure if you have T-Gel or an equivalent in India.

I would say for me, i started noticing more hairs shedding just after the 1 month mark and it continued until the 3rd month almost ending in some spots. However, after Month 4, things are starting to improve and even enough to the point where i feel more confident to style the hair and have it visible in public under dim lighting or indoor. Bright sunlight etc. and i'm going all Dracula to hide it lol. Luckily it's heading to Winter and that makes it easier.

I would say though that i am feeling the first hair transplants the most challenging because you can do all your research, but going through it is the real challenge. The knowledge you have though hopefully makes it a little easier.

Hi @Madhur Vansil ,this looks promising I hope you get the best results. Can I know the cost per graft for Dr. Das? Also do they charge any OT or consultation charges apart from GST?

Hi @rsb,Dr Das comes under 120 ₹ package + GST.The consultation charges is 1k ₹ as far as I remember but those charges will get included in your package if you pay 10k ₹ and book the slot for surgery then and there.Rest you can connect with them and a specific counsellor from Eugenix team will connect with you and explain you in much detail .

Hi Guys ,

Posting a 30 Day (1 Month update ).

Shedding is noticeable now but some transplanted hairs are grown well with good pace and seems to cover the head .However more shedding in the 2nd month might highlight the bald areas which had transplanted hairs which are in shedding now.

Also Aloe Vera gel did well on moisturising scalp and I didn’t got any need to use the anti dandruff shampoo.

Here are the pictures :-

Front -

Two things got me worried -

1- That some shedding hairs are really too small seems like they didn’t grew at all before shedding .Hope that’s normal 🤞

2- The hair directions seems to be different in some areas on the side for which I shared with the clinic and they said with the transplanted hairs growing up they will get into the perfect angle and will mix with non transplanted ones . Hope that’s normal too 🤞

@NARMAK and others Please share your thoughts on how do you see the progress .

You're all good man, trust me

Everything looks in order. Your donor area has healed up and your grafts are densely packed with the correct angles and growth direction. However things will show more accurately when hairs are matured later on. It will determine how easy you can style your hair

You have nothing else to worry about right now, just wait until month 6 or 7 to get a rough idea of the final result

@Madhur Vansil  Good luck
