Senior Member JDEE0 Posted November 21, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted November 21, 2021 One for those who have had a HT: How long did it take for the numbness to go away after your HT? I'm 4 days out and, whilst it's not something I notice at all unless I actively touch my head and thus not really a problem, I can't really feel much when I tap/touch the top of my head and it's a very strange feeling. Senior Member SeanT1 Posted November 21, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted November 21, 2021 Had a numbness on the middle of my head up to 2 months after a FUE transplant. Perfectly normal. After the first month you may notice a tingly feeling on your head too, it's just the nerves rebuilding.

Yeah, I know it's normal, was just wondering what different timelines people experienced in relation to this

Senior Member JDEE0 Posted November 22, 2021 Author Senior Member Share Posted November 22, 2021 Cheers John/Gatsby. It's no biggie either way, I don't notice unless I touch it, just a weird sensation. 1 hour ago, JC71 said: My FUTs were a few months, but FUE I found about 4-6 weeks from memory. 1 hour ago, Gatsby said: For me after my first hair transplant it took 6 months before full sensation returned.

Moderators Al - Moderator Posted November 23, 2021 Moderators Share Posted November 23, 2021 I still have some numbness 30+ years after the first transplant, so it's possible it may never fully go away. Sorry to hear and thanks for the insight - yeah, anything is possible and I am aware nerves can be damaged during a HT, but I'm not really worried about this being the case Edited November 23, 2021 by JDEE0
Senior Member aaron1234 Posted November 23, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted November 23, 2021 Took about 4-6 months after my first HT for the numbness to subside.
