Steele
Hello I'm getting a FUE hair surgery of 1500 graphs and wanted to make sure that was enough graphs to get a look with density to it. Ill add some pictures of my crown, please let me know what you guys think. Thanks!
Senior Member TorontoMan Posted May 14, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted May 14, 2021 My guess would be slightly more than 1,500 grafts, maybe closer to 2,500 grafts to get adequate density. Hopefully someone else chimes in whos had crown work. Btw is the redness on your scalp red because of a sunburn?
Senior Member 1978matt Posted May 14, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted May 14, 2021 1500 could be enough. I had 763 for a similar area but have very thick hair strands. 1 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day
Senior Member Future Hair Doc Posted May 14, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted May 14, 2021 Based on those photos, I think 1,500 grafts should be enough for your crown. My advice does not constitute a patient-physician relationship nor as medical advice and all medical questions/concerns should be addressed to your medical provider. Senior Member aaron1234 Posted May 14, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted May 14, 2021 This was what a little over 700 grafts did for my crown, and it's even thicker now. 3 Dr. G: 1,000 grafts (FUT) 2008 Dr. Paul Shapiro: 2,348 grafts (FUT) 2009 ~ 1,999 grafts (FUT) 2011 ~ 300 grafts (Scar Reduction) 2013 Dr. Konior: 771 grafts (FUT) 2015 ~ 558 grafts (FUT) 2017 ~ 1,124 grafts (FUE) 2020 My Hair Transplant Journey with Shapiro Medical Group
Regular Member Dr. Neil Verma Posted May 15, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted May 15, 2021 Depends on your age and expected ongoing loss in the upcoming years. 1500 seems reasonable though an extra 250 grafts would help density and finasteride can help to avoid further native crown hair loss. DrTBarghouthi
1500 sounds reasonable to me too. Dr. Taleb Barghouthi approved and recommended on the Hair Transplant Network.
