Senior Member TorontoMan Posted March 26, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted March 26, 2021 Hey buddy, try to keep it in one comment so other posts could be seen. The scabbing is normal, it will happen to everyone around 10 days, but I believe you're seeing some spacing because the transplant isn't of high density. It is a large area for 3,000 grafts, but I don't know what your expectations are for density.

Regular Member Carbon Posted April 3, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted April 3, 2021 After scab removal, what is the preferred method for drying?
Regular Member Dr. Neil Verma Posted April 17, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted April 17, 2021 Great video of post op instructions. I'll direct my patients to it. Baby oil could also be used to gently soften the scabs. Gentle pat drying would be method of drying.

You can simply pat dry with a clean towel....would also avoid using a hot hair dryer at this point in time post-op. Regular Member Dr. Neil Verma Posted April 23, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted April 23, 2021 First 3 days no shower/shampoo to the grafts. Saline spray (salt water) every 30 minutes to keep the scabs moist and soft.
Senior Member gillenator Posted April 23, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted April 23, 2021 Most docs advise to simply pour a lukewarm shampoo and water solution over the grafted area (50/50) mix...no rubbing...just pouring for several days post-op. Regular Member Rui Posted May 30, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted May 30, 2021 Thanks @Melvin-Moderator for the video. Curious as to what day you think we should do the conditioner treatment to remove the scabs? I'm on Day 11 and have started to assist the removal of the scabs for the last couple days by gently rubbing and dislodging where it's comfortable. So just want to know when you think it's appropriate to do the conditioner treatment to remove all the scabs?
