Hair transplant at 6 months 3 weeks

Hello everybody! So I had a hair transplant on August 14th of 2020. I had a little over 2200 grafts put into the front half of my scalp. I am very happy with my results thus far! I guess I was just wondering how much growth i should expect to have left. The hairs in the front are still a lil thin and wispy. Also in certain lighting they seem almost transparent in areas. Also my native hair behind that frontal band is thicker than the transplanted hair. Will it eventually match up and blend with the native hair. I realize I’m only (almost) 7 months. I put some before and after photos here for you to look at. Also I just got a haircut yesterday to try and match up the length of my hair. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Past 6 months it's mostly maturing at this point for the next 6 months. What that means is all those transplanted hairs will thicken up and create more density and coverage due to their thickening shafts. That also means it will start to blend in more with your existing hair.

Looks good, you are on track....expect thickness and 'maturity' up until month 18. Already in a much better position than before too.

Who was your doctor?

2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now.

Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018.

Switched to topical fin/minox combo from Minoxidil Max in October 2020, along with dermarolling 1x a week.

Wrote a book for newbies called Beating Hair Loss, available on Amazon

I went to Dr. Panine in chicago. Hes done a great job. I’m looking forward to seeing the end result! I have a 7th month follow up on the 15th.

Is this Right?

I though that after 6 month you still had alot of grafts still to pop trough the scalp?

It depends on the person, and you’ll also get doctors who give differing opinions.

I’m about 10.5 months post op with Dr. Panine. I tried taking pictures with a few different lightings and I’d say the density has really improved. Very happy with how it’s turned out so far!
