mikey400
Hello, I started to lose my hair when I was about 16, I started to take propecia when I was 16.5 until now, even if it helps in some way it's not noticeable because my crown is super thin + middle scalp, I do have some hairline but again, if you look at the destiny of the top of my head it would be similar to 5k grafts after HT. Now, in the past few months I even started to shed in my sides (Retrograde alopecia), few notes : 1)My entire family, over 20 males, are norwood 7 with thin sides, zero hair on their sideburn and nape aprea. 2)I took Propecia for 7 years with no real success, and of course ZERO side effects, at least if I had some side effects I would think it's working hehe :D What are my hopes at this point? I understand dut is an option but no doctor is willing to write a prescription in my country, I assume if I take two propecia a day it won't make a change too right? I do not care about the hair at the top of my head, I do care about my sides, I am shedding tons of hairs and I know MPB attacks there too as I see my uncles, father, grandfather (both sides of the family). I am willing to do\take anything just to save the hairs in my side and back and of course if possible to save the remaining hair at the top would be wonderful too. Thanks a lot guys
Senior Member PizzaWolf Posted August 11, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted August 11, 2020 Are you sure it's MPB? Ninety-nine percent of the time it is, but there are outliers, in which case androgen focused treatments wouldn't be effective. Assuming it's MPB, maybe look into a compound called RU-58841. I don't know of the legality of purchasing it in all parts of the world, though.

Hi, Yes this is 100% MPB, I am heading exactly like the rest of my family members and brother, RU-58841 is like Rogaine?

RU-58841 is an an extremely potent topical anti-androgen designed to have poor systemic absorption. It never went through all the FDA approval trials, so it's considered (at least in the US) a research chemical. You Tube channels "More Plates More Dates" and "Kevin Mann" have used RU-58841 with success, as have many bodybuilders who are using extremely hair damaging substances which bypass the normal pathways of combating hair loss. There's also Breezula, another topical anti-androgen, about to get a mainstream release on the market soon. Guys have been purchasing this under its research name (CB-03-01) for years. I'm not recommending you run out and smear this stuff all over your head. I'm just making a suggestion toward something that might be worth investigating and drawing your own conclusions about. Good luck with anything you decide. Edited August 11, 2020 by PizzaWolf
Senior Member giegnosiganoe Posted August 11, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted August 11, 2020 Finasteride at the age of 16, that is insane. Can you share any pics of your balding progression? Why do you want to save the hair on the sides/back and not care so much about the top?
Senior Member Louisjams Posted August 11, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted August 11, 2020 Bro I hate to say this but if you are really looking at NW 7 so young in life a HT may give you a lot of heartache and grief. Please be exceptionally careful.
Senior Member voxman Posted August 11, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted August 11, 2020 Louisjams above has a valid point. You are in for a lifelong chase of something that will always elude you. The heartache of balding will only be replaced with the heartbreak of a HT that will give little solace. You can always get a consultation with a professional for further advice, but my advice is to accept the reality and prioritize the real things of value in your life over a head of hair. As said above, Please be exceptionally careful. And I will add- strive to BE exceptional. I'm serious. Just look at my face. My Hair Regimen: Lather, Rinse, Repeat. Senior Member ciaus Posted August 11, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted August 11, 2020 Try to embrace it -have you shaved down your head before? Maybe you have a good facial shape and features for that. If not now perhaps as your face matures it will be a better look.
