Wossy
Hey. Firstly, Two months ago I noticed a circle with baldness behind the head. I took some pictures of the back of the head and noticed some spaces in my hair... is it normal ? No one in my family has a baldness.. even grandfathers . Is it a start of baldness? what to do ? Senior Member aaron1234 Posted July 13, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted July 13, 2020 That looks like alopecia areata to me, not typical male pattern baldness. Go see a doctor as soon as possible and you'll likely receive a cortisone injection. Senior Member HTHope Posted July 13, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted July 13, 2020 agreed, that looks like alopecia areata. You may want to see a dermatologist. Even so, there is a big chance it will likely resolve on its own.

Wossy
Is it dangerous to wait with it ? Do I need to see doctor urgently ?
Senior Member gillenator Posted July 14, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted July 14, 2020 Yes it can manifest in other areas...as I agree with several of the others that it is alopecia areata. Find a dermatologist who is experienced in treating various forms of hair loss. Lastly, there is also visual evidence of your crown having diffused loss...finasteride and minoxidil is most efficient in the crown.
