Regular Member tofuparty Posted April 1, 2019 Regular Member Share Posted April 1, 2019 HI everyone. I've been lurking on the site off and on since 2014. Back then I decided on a particular surgeon but then I noticed a lot of their results were suddenly subpar so I backed off. I then decided to go with another surgeon, and even had the online consultation done, but then they also started to get some subpar results, so I backed away from them as well. So now I want some advice of who to go with. Im 40 years old, NW5 and was told with my previous online consultation I would need need 5000 grafts and that I had around 6500-7000 in the donor area. My preference is FUE. I contacted Hasson Wong but since Im in Australia they would charge me in US dollars which would amount to over $50k aud all in, which is really taking it to another level. In Candian dollars it was closer to 35k aud, which Im comfortable with. So I need advice on which surgeon can perform a large FUE session who produces consistent results. Traveling is not a problem. Any responses greatly appreciated.
Senior Member Fozzie Posted April 1, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted April 1, 2019 Are you prepared to have multiple sessions? Say for example 2500-3500 in the first session and then after a year or possibly even earlier return for the the second procedure for another 1500-2500 grafts. If so, someone like Dr Lorenzo in Spain would be a good bet if you are are a NW5. I'd guess you'd be looking at upwards of 17k Euros for the procedure with him but not 100% sure. Obviously ASMED seem to regularly perform 5000 over 2 days but got a hunch they may be one of the clinics you've already consulted with. Hasson&Wong are a great shout to but sounds as though cost looks to have ruled them out Also wondering how a surgeon/clinic managed to determine you have 6500-7000 grafts available via an online consultation? Senior Member paddyirishman Posted April 1, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted April 1, 2019 EUGONIOX CLINIC IN INDIA ARE SPECIALISTS IN HIGH NORWOOD CASES. THEY HAVE A FANTASTIC REPUTATION. THEY ARE RECOMMENDED ON THIS FORUM ALSO. THEY SPECIALISE AND INVENTED A NEW FUE TECHNIQUE THAT DOES NOT ALLOW GRAFTS TO BE OUT OF THE DONER VERY LONG, AS THEY ARE IMPLANTED IMMEDIATELY. I THINK YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE IN CHECKING THEM OUT. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK WHEN YOU DO.....THANKS ALL THE BEST ... .......PADDY..... Raphael84
@tofuparty I would suggest consulting with several more Drs and getting their opinions on grafts counts and what is achievable. Keep doing your research. The more the better.
