Regular Member italianhairr Posted May 24, 2018 Regular Member Posted May 24, 2018 Hi guys , in these days i am thinking it : realistically, in the eight month , usually, in the hairline (so not crown) is there still regrowth? I m curious to hear the hairtransplanted experiences.
Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted May 24, 2018 Administrators Posted May 24, 2018 In my experience my hairline grew up until 10 months and after that it matured and the hair got thicker up until 18 months. Regular Member italianhairr Posted May 24, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted May 24, 2018 really? Do you mean that after 9 months have you continued to see new hairs? I hope it... .... I' m going well( i suppose...) but to think that after 6-7 months won't regrowth anymore anything, destroys me. And often when i see a good transplant i notice that after 6 months it's already ok.
Moderators Al - Moderator Posted May 25, 2018 Moderators Posted May 25, 2018 Mostly after that point it's a thickening of the individual transplanted hairs as they grow and mature for the next several months. This does gives the appearance of more hair, so it can look like new hair is still growing even if there's not actually any new hairs sprouting. Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted May 25, 2018 Administrators Posted May 25, 2018 In my personal experience, I saw hair growth past 8 months. Actual growth didn’t stop until around 10 months. However, not everyone is the same, some continue seeing growth until 18 months and some stop at 8 months. We all grow at different rates, those who continue to grow until 18 months are generally what you would consider “slow growers”. Senior Member gillenator Posted May 25, 2018 Senior Member Posted May 25, 2018 Overall, I have observed that most of the regrowth takes place 8 to 10 months post-op. But as was already mentioned, there are going to be some variables between individuals. Gillenator Independent Patient Advocate I am not a physician and not employed by any doctor/clinic. Senior Member Sean Posted May 26, 2018 Senior Member Posted May 26, 2018 Yea i think you are maxed out with growth at 8-10 months. I really do not think SIGNIFICANT hair changing growth occurs beyond that.
BHRClinic Posted May 26, 2018 Posted May 26, 2018 Mostly after that point it's a thickening of the individual transplanted hairs as they grow and mature for the next several months. After 8-10 months it is not usual to see regrowth, but the new hair can mature in terms of calibre and volume up to 12-18 months, which helps to the final result in terms of density. Regular Member italianhairr Posted May 26, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted May 26, 2018 and after 6 month, usually, is there regrowth? ( so 7 th and 8th month)
BHRClinic Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 Hi italianhairr, Yes, there can be some growth after 6 months, sure. But it also depends on each patient. We have seen some cases around 6-7 months and they probably had full growth at that stage, but probably those patients were faster than average. BHR Clinic http://www.bhrclinic.com info@bhrclinic.com

Regular Member italianhairr Posted June 1, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted June 1, 2018 How micron is a good "medium" caliber ? ( so nothing of infrequent)
BHRClinic Posted June 2, 2018 Posted June 2, 2018 Hi, If that helps I'd say: - Up to 40 microns: very fine - From 40-60 microns: fine - From 60-80 microns: average-medium calibre - From 80-100 microns: coarse - Above 100 microns: very coarse hair Regards, BHR Clinic http://www.bhrclinic.com info@bhrclinic.com
Regular Member italianhairr Posted June 2, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted June 2, 2018 but is it only my impression or is it very difficult to find a caliber superior at 80 micron ? i read too that from 40 to 60 is fine but seeing the most of the surgeon's report i read 50-60 micron , so it would seem it the medium size
BHRClinic Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Hi, From our experience most of our patients have "medium-fine" or "medium" calibre hair. Regards, BHR Clinic http://www.bhrclinic.com info@bhrclinic.com
