Regular Member darkandcumbrian Posted February 16, 2018 Regular Member Posted February 16, 2018 Hi, I am now three months post op and have taken some photos (albeit in a very harsh light!) which show my progress. I am very pleased to see the start of growth from my grafts and my new hairline is already showing signs of taking shape. There is quite a lot of almond oil on my hair in most of the photos so you can see the grafts a bit better. Dr Devroye is pleased with how things are looking and I'm looking forward to seeing some more cosmetic improvements over the next few months. I will post more photos after six months. I have also attached a few pre-op photos for comparison although I have a separate thread for those.
Senior Member TrixGlendevon Posted February 20, 2018 Senior Member Posted February 20, 2018 Looks good. It will be a great result when it reaches the 12 month mark I think
Regular Member darkandcumbrian Posted February 20, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted February 20, 2018 Thank you Trix, I feel like I've got through the shedding stage and am now beginning to see improvements. I'm excited about the next few months, focusing on not looking in the mirror any more than I have to at the moment and that is making me much less anxious!
Senior Member lukeyb1687 Posted February 20, 2018 Senior Member Posted February 20, 2018 Looking good! Excited to see how it turns out! 12/2017 - 3500 Grafts- Dr. Emrah Cinik Follow my progress:

Will you be shaving your hair as short as possible during the ugly duckling phase?

Bill - Seemiller Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Darkandcumbrian, Thanks for updating us with your three-month photos. As you have already been told and reassured, everything looks very normal and good at this stage of your hair transplant. At three months, most people look very similar to how they did before surgery and then start to see some minor signs of growth starting within that next month. By month five, there’s typically a lot of sprouting and you will begin to see differences between your before pictures and current pictures. And then every month after, you will likely see progressive changes and improvements through one year or even more. You selected an excellent hair surgeon, so now the rest is just about waiting and enjoying your new hair Best wishes, Bill
Senior Member voxman Posted April 3, 2018 Senior Member Posted April 3, 2018 I officialy approve. I'm serious. Just look at my face. My Hair Regimen: Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
Regular Member darkandcumbrian Posted April 3, 2018 Author Regular Member Posted April 3, 2018 Hi Bill Thank you for your message. I am about to hit month five and I am pleased to say that there is now noticeable growth and my new hairline is filling in nicely. Already friends and colleagues have noticed how much better my hair is looking. I will post more photos at month six but I'm delighted with my progress and so pleased that I made an excellent choice of surgeon. The best advice I can give anyone who is waiting for growth after a surgery is to try and limit the amount of times you look in the mirror and do not be tempted to worry, panic or compare your hair with other people on the forum. This is not easy, but it makes for a much more relaxing growth phase if you can limit your close up examinations of your scalp.
