Senior Member MarieEvo Posted November 14, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted November 14, 2016 A 23-year-old man had considerable reservations regarding finasteride. After a lengthy discussion about the long-term planning process of hair restoration in young patients, he underwent a follicular unit transplantation (FUT) session in which a total of 2401 grafts with Dr. Carlos K. Wesley. He wanted to bring his hairline down slightly in order to more effectively frame his face for the long term. The patient returned one year after his procedure and images of the patient can be seen below. The patient’s hair follicles were incubated in platelet rich plasma (PRP) throughout the duration of the procedure. I have worked with 26 different hair restoration doctors throughout my career. I have now been a nurse with Dr. Wesley for more than a decade. Senior Member MAGNUMpi Posted November 14, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted November 14, 2016 Obviously an improvement, but hard to really tell because it's combed forward and styled for coverage in all the "after" pics.

Agreed 100% - tired of seeing this type of presentation. Almost no one on this forum is going to see a result like that (which I agree is an obvious improvement) and be conned into thinking "wow, look at that full head of hair!". Borderline disingenuous to not show the hairline exposed. Present these pics alongside by all means so we get the "coverage impression", too. Senior Member Ernie Posted November 15, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted November 15, 2016 For 2400 gr I think it looks damn good 3185 FUT with Dr. Rahal on 2/17/16 http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/182611-fut-3185-dr-rahal-day-after-pics.html 1204 FUT with Dr. Rahal on 3/27/17 http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/186586-round-2-rahal-1204-fut-frontal-third-same-area.html ---> total of 4389 grafts to my frontal third via FUT ---> 1mg finasteride daily since 1999
Senior Member Louisjams Posted November 15, 2016 Senior Member Share Posted November 15, 2016 It looks good. The haircuts are totally different in the before and after pics, but you can still see it is a good outcome. I suspect the patient will have at least 1 more surgery going forward.
