How much more donor does this patient have? He had quite a large area worked on, so I'm guessing he would need another surgery to have cosmetically satisfying results.

He did have grafts placed in the crown. Look at this post-op pic:

I thought the same thing at first great, but I think 911fan was commenting on how low the grafts that were placed in the crown seem to go. It seems from the photos (which is what makes it hard to really tell) that the recipient area stops relatively high in comparison to the after photos. There appears to be a "gap" from where the grafts were placed and the donor area (in the immediately after post-op photos); and yet then there seems to be hair growing everywhere in the 7 month post-op photos. I think it is nothing other than the photos creating a false illusion......and I can see where 911 thought what he did.......

Sorry, the way I wrote that last post may have sounded confusing. What I was trying to say (and I think 911 as well) can be illustrated with photo #15 (last photo in the third row). It seems where the transplanted area stops and where his native hair in back is, that there is a relatively large gap that didn't receive any follicles. It looks as if he has no hair growing there at all.....yet in his 7 month post-op photos, the hair seems to be growing in that area.
