Hello,

I am 33 Male from India.

1 ) I had a hair transplant surgery with Dr Prabdeep Sohi ( Revivia Clinic ) in Chandigarh, India on 17 th December 2012.

I had 3V condition.

No. of Grafts used as per doctor:- 3100 (1800 grafts front, 1000 grafts crown & 300 grafts sides joining the crown to temples)

Method used:- FUE

pictures are on my blog link below:-

2) I also had some white chest hairs which i got removed by FUE method after 10 days of my HT from the same doctor, understanding that BHT is common now and i have not heard much about visible life long scars (I hope i am right).

I decided for white chest hair removal with this method as Electrolysis/thermolysis is time consuming multiple session method specially for such large area and Laser do not work on white hairs.

thats quite intersting! ur hairline looks great. nice to see ur doctors understands that going from a 3V to a 2V is not something most patients long for yet I see plenty of patient pics after a HT that simply makes them look less bald these days.

the removal of white hairs via FUE is actually something I considered doing cause electrolysis is painful, expensive and doesnt work worth a chit imo and ur right the laser will only target hairs with melanin.

one more thing.... how much did he charge to remove the white hairs on ur chest? considering he is not transplanting them I was curious to know what the price would be compared to grafts that are removed and replanted.

@ jayukdht thats the only issues i am facing uptil now with the clinic, that i am not able to receive the marked pre op pictures from the clinic even after repeated reminders by phone/emails, that lead to the delay in posting here, as i waited for few weeks to receive the pre op pics, very annoying.

@GNX1 they charged lumsum for the 2 hrs session and its costs peanuts, thats all i can say.But whether it was worth it or not, time will tell as i am still worried about the visible red dots.

I have a lot of body hairs and they as as thick as my head hairs hence i decided to go for a aggressive hairline so that i can use my body hairs for touch up at back of my hairline from time to time. Not to forget i have few more available at my head donor area as well.

@Future_HT_Doc Thanks.Will sure update.

There are some question if you guys can help me with:-

1) its 4.5 weeks now and my 50% of transplanted grafts refuse to fall.Is this enough time to know that they will not fall at all? If yes than i would like to go for a trimming of overall hairs to make my hair even from all parts.

2) The doctor shaved the crown and sides joining the crown to front before implanting the grafts.I was told that the shaved hairs will grow back in 2-3 weeks but i think i had a lot more hairs in those area compare to which is showing now.Is this shock loss? If yes what is the time frame for recovery?

3) Like all doc i was also recommended 5% minoxidil and finasteride 1mg.

I am already a user (in and out) for 5% minoxidil which i am continuing now.

But i have tried finasteride - Finpecia from Cipla in India in the past. But i had the same side effects as many others hence i stopped after taking for 1-2 months. It took 7-8 months for me to recover fully and a big NO to this. I used this tablet 1 mg/day.

So I am seeking alternates solutions from you as i know that holding what we have got is equally important.

4) Any recommendation for faster healing of red dots/scar from the white hair removal from the chest?

Thanks.

if ur too busy then assign someone at ur office to answer some basic questions people have. its really not that difficult....wow

hello,

1) This is my exact 3 months update.

the crown is back to its original pre op condition.

the frontal area still has many grafts (around 30 %) which have not fallen off still.I dont know if this is gud or bad. any idea?

2) I am not taking finasteride due to previous side efffect, only 5% minoxidil.

Can anyone has any suggestion or alternate to finasteride. Or may be another way of taking finasteride to avoid side effect. I tried 1mg/per day few years back for 2 months and resulted in side effect which lasted for 8 months after stopping the tablet.

P.s I have also uploaded my pre op pics now in the first post in this thread.

thanks.
