sry i was not able to log in for a while. Its 8.5 months since my 2 HT Attached pics. 1) I quit Propecia at 4 month mark.So i am not using any tabs and since i use toppik all the time so i am not able to use minoxidil as well coz it creates mess while on toppik. I know tabs and minoxidil helps sustain what you have got,but side effects which get from tabs are not worth.Any guidance/suggestion to cope with it will help. 2) Since these pics are with dry hairs, kindly compare with my previous pics with dry hairs only. 3) Crown still has visible thinning and my right side also have visible thinning (right side was not addressed in my 2nd HT) may be i have to go for another HT 100% body hairs approx 2000 grafts at crown area and 1500-2000 grafts in mid scalp (if my scalp donor allows). Will decide after 12 month mark. Some feedback will be appreciated.

I had side effects 3 years back when I used Finpecia (product of Cipla) for 3-4 months and had to quit, the side effect took 8 months to go out of my system. So I am not sure about it. Though I have started taking 1mg per day now, will see how much time I will continue before I give up.Right now its only 1 month since i started.

My first HT had too much swelling, the pic of 1 swelled eye was just the start, it wend more worse later. The swelling part was the same for my both HT, i planned my visit accordingly for 10 days.The amount of swelling may vary due to various factors from patient to patient. Swelling started around day 3 and remained till day 7 post op. Ice pack or meds may help to subsidize faster.We were not provided any meds for swelling by the clinic.Ice pack/gel was provided but i dont think it really helped much in my case. I used their Hat only once while coming back to the hotel on 2nd day of HT from the clinic. I brought many with me so i used those. I saw most of the patients in the clinic preferred to move out back to their country on 2nd/3rd day of their surgery and preferred to reach home before swelling starts.But that is personal choice.

attached pics. Only issue i had was 70-80 odd pimples in my donor which really itched, i had a hard time with them till they went off by 30 day mark themselves with not extra care. I initially though they are in-grown hairs which are making their way out, but the clinic confirmed that those are my transected hairs which are making their way out, i didnt experienced this at all in my first HT.

1) I think we ended up doing approx 1450 grafts in front, 850 at mid left & 1500 grafts at crown.Coz on first day 1800 grafts session was done and we ended covering hairline & some area of mid left as well. 2) Approx 100 sq. cm area was covered so 3800 grafts are not too much i guess. Since i still have hairs in middle area so we decided to not to touch that part and improve it with meds. 3) I have kept my hairstyle side parted all my life so i wanted to fill/thicken the exposed area i.e mid left, in future i would prefer BHT anyway for the mid and mid right area. Please note that 1 to 11 no. pics are with dry hairs and 12 to 22 no. pics are with wet hairs in harsh studio lighting. Wet hairs look more worse than dry hairs, i keep my hairs dry all the time so mid area still look ok to me at this stage, compare to other areas. Hairline is the most important part of the face so i wanted to fill it perfectly well with scalp grafts only. Rest area i would not mind BHT in future in case i am out of scalp donor. Crown was in the worst condition with hardly any hairs to improve with meds. In routine life the crown bald patch stands out like anything even from distance, so it needed to be addressed immediately.

Hello Everyone 35 Year old Male from India with 3V diffuse thinning. Had my 2nd hair transplant FUE 3800 Grafts dec 2014 at ASMED, Istanbul with Dr. Koray Erdogan Since I was not Happy with my 1st HT results from other clinic so I have repeated the procedure to same areas to add density. For Brief details about my 1st Hair Transplant at other clinic in India in dec 2012 you can check my Thread link below:- http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/169007-fue-hair-transplant-dr-prabdeep-sohi-reviva-clinic-chandigarh-india.html 2nd HT Journey:- I had an online consultation first and had an opportunity to visit Istanbul so I also had a personal Consultation as well in june 2014 with Dr Koray (Also Dr Hakan in Antalya) The Asmed clinic (mini hospital) looked very posh and busy and Dr Koray was very helpful in clearing my doubts and queries on my personal consultation. Sevinj my Interpreter was very helpful throughout in my email / personal consultation and Final surgery. Dr Koray speaks English very well. But for communication with the Staff & technicians Sevinj was always around. After returning back to India I booked for my HT for 29th December 2014 with deposit of 1000 Euro. Reached Istanbul on 26th dec Morning. Stayed in Radisson blu which was booked by the clinic , being close to the clinic they have a contract with them to provide discounted price for first 5 days to their patients (80 Euro/night including breakfast), cheaper than booking online yourself as It was 120 Euro/night including breakfast). Same day afternoon went to the clinic for shaving my hair, deciding/marking hairline, photo session and blood samples for tests & PRP Treatment. Dr koray starts surgery early morning and prefer this pre-op rituals 1 day before. Since the clinic is closed on weekends so I had to go through this process on 26th dec i.e Friday and wait in the hotel for my surgery on Monday (So Avoid Mondays if you don’t want to reach there early:)) Since I was shaved and marked on Friday I used a Cap till Monday to roam around beautiful Istanbul. The Clinic also provides you with their custom Hat, in my case I already brought many with me, since I knew the drill being my 2nd HT. Day 1:- I was picked by Clinic transfer service 7:00 AM (Transfer charges 30 Euro) along with 3 other Patients staying in the same hotel. So we were total 4 person having HT in the same day. I had a concern about it throughout that how this was to be pulled off having 4 surgeries with average 2000 grafts in a day/person coming to 8000 grafts in a day/person. Reached the clinic, greeted well and immediately changed clothes and checked for re-shave any hairs slightly grown in 2 days. Test reports were checked and approved for further movement to the surgery room downstairs where i got 1 locker to keep my clothes and I also chose 1 movie to be seen at the time of surgery. I realized that the clinic has 4 surgery rooms downstairs, so 4 patients per day is routine. They have enough techs n staff for this. First Day was dedicated to hairline area and Crown for Second day. I must confess here that after slight concern realizing 4 patients per day and how it will be pulled off with good quality work, I got introduced to another concern when the surgery was started with graft extraction by techs and without presence of Dr Koray. Then I realized that the extractions are done by the techs and not by Dr Koray. Dr Koray only performs Incisions. Techs do extractions & implantation. Dr Koray did come in between to extract 80 odd grafts and went, same with other 3 patients. I think this was primarily for 2 reasons, (1) To keep himself in the practice of extraction, and/or (2) To make patients feel comfortable showing his presence. I am sure that the clinic hires highly skilled Techs only and as long as my HT turns out satisfactory I have no issues with this, but since I have gone through one average HT in the past so this will keep me slightly concerned until 8-12 months post op. After 4 hours of extraction, we had a lunch break and post lunch we started with the incision part with Dr Koray and final implantation with the techs. We finished Day 1 around 4 p.m and all 4 were transferred to the Hotel. We were provided with Pain killer medicine (which I did not require) & Neck support pillows to avoid direct contact of the head to anything which disturbs/dislocate the new grafts while sleeping. It was still not comfortable though, so I preferring sleeping without it with caution. Day 2:- This day was dedicated for crown area and Side Bridge joining crown to hairline. The process was same as Day 1, only addition was that PRP was injected this day. We ended the day around 5 a.m and after photo session we went to the hotel. Day:-3 We were again picked up in the morning for head wash and were provided with the shampoo & cream KIT for head wash for next 10 days. Also with the documents showing the hair/graft bifurcation, picture of it uploaded in this thread. I pre-planned my stay for 10 days considering face swelling will take 7 days to subsidize, so I stayed back in the hotel. Had another head wash at the clinic on 7th day post HT and then return back to my country. I have been advised to start finasteride if not regularly than atleast 12 months post op. I have thick body hairs so am i positive for covering full area of my head with it. When i may opt for my 3rd HT shall depend on whether i continue with finasteride or not after 1 year and also till how much time i feel comfortable using Toppik (if i have to use it ) Question:- I am having hard time finding an online site which deliver Propecia to India as most of them says worldwide delivery but at the payment process do not show India as an option. If anyone has a clue than let me know.I bought 1 month pack of propecia from the Asmed clinic, now i have locally bought Finpecia (product of Cipla) and using it. Thanks.

@ hairhair9000 as long as what i know, i have seen many hair transplants face to face of various doctors in India as i have consulted many of them before sadly ending out to Reviva clinic. So i know exactly what to expect from a Hair transplant. My concerns were majorly sparse 1800 grafts hairline with multiple 'no hair patches' in between and my crown where 1000 grafts were placed didnt grow fully. Not since you have raised this question i must tell you that couple of months back i visited 2 FUE docs in turkey. Dr Koray (istanbul) Dr Hakan (antalya) Both agreed that my first HT was below average.They said the grafts were pushed deep inside damaging them. Both agreed that the hairline has 25-28 grafts per sq. cm which has grown (with some patches having only 12-15 grafts per square cm, against minimum 35-40 expected considering 1800 grafts were done on the hairline. As per the doc My crown where i can feel multiple hairs which are not growing more than 5 mm are the once which are part of those grafts which have 3-4 hairs per graft and out of them 1-2 hairs from the same graft are growing and 1-2 hairs from the same graft are not growing as they were not taking out properly in extraction. Hence due to pushing grafts deep inside & improper extraction many grafts got damaged and never grew and those which are growing are partially growing with partial dead hairs no longer than 5mm stuck in the grafts forever. Hence now i have to repeat the same procedure again to same areas to increase density and i am told 1500 grafts to front 1/3 and 1500 grafts in crown. @ param1094 Yes 12 days should be enough for healing but if you are looking for FUE only in Chandigarh than also make a consultation with Dr Bhatti and see physical patients for both clinics for better understanding.

Attached 2 pics of my pre op taken by myself for online consultation 6 months before my first HT. I was almost 2V i.e my condition wasnt that bad.i could hide my temples with middle hairs very well previously also.I had thick middle area always. I have physical consultation with 4 docs in India and 3 of them told that i am not the candidate for crown HT as such thinning can be recovered by medication itself. Hence my issues are:- 1) On my Left temple whatever was transplanted has grown well but is still sparse. So sparse is my issue on this area, though i can live with it. 2) On my Right temple whatever was transplanted has NOT grown well , i can count the hairs as there are only 50-60 hairs in total in my right temple , hardly 5-10 grafts per square cms. Basically Nothing has grown in this area.This area is my major concern. 3) My crown virtually has no change. I am at 14th month post up and i have 400 odd grafts at 5mm length and are not growing even 1 mm more for many months.Now that is my another major concern as if they had grown well, same as my left temple grafts have grown than than i would had decent coverage. 4) Another issues is my exposed thin patch at the donor area at the left side which i have to use toppik to hide everytime. 5) Other than the sub-par result i have another issue with the clinic that they do not respond.They dont believe in communication.After 1 week of HT i emailed them for my pics they did not respond, called them they gave false promises. After 1 month of HT i called/emailed them for providing me name of a tube for faster healing of my chest removed hairs, they did not care to even respond with a cream name.What kind of a clinic it is, who cannot respond to his patients queries. Then after 12 months i again tried to contact that for same question i am raising here, but they they just have no setup for communicating with the patients.I cannot fly to their city for each n every concern or query. I had 3200 grafts overall and i agree to say that 1500 odd grafts have grown well,majorly at my left temple and my middle area of hairline.

My middle area was quite thick always.Due to slight blur pics the temples looks less sparse than they actually are.Considering 1800 grafts were placed in hairline, i have seen much better results with 1200 grafts to same area of hairline. Ever since my 1st week of HT i kept on contacting the clinic by email/phone asking them to provide me my pre-HT pics clicked by the doctor from his camera (which he promised to send me to my email) but none bothered to even reply to my email and on phone they said that there are many patients and its difficult to find my photos to send me. Whatever i have posted here to start this thread were taken from my own mobile phone (luckily).

yes i even told them that i have enough money to fight back legally if required :-) i must commend dr bhatti on his understanding of importance of communicating with the patients/prospective patients via email/phone, specially outstation once. Dr bhatti has replied to each n every email i have made him in past 1.5 years (i initially wanted to have my 1st HT with him). This includes my recent email to him for my 2nd HT as well. I have a question:- Is anyone here who has used FUE with Non-shaven technique & had good results? Shaving full head again and waiting for first few months to grow is really frustrating.

as suggested by forum members i re-attempted to get in touch with the clinic 1) couple of weeks back. Made a call landline was not picked, so i emailed them with my concerns n waited for a 1-2 days. Dint got a response so i decided to make a call to the mobile no. given on the website and the doctor himself picked the phone (lucky me).....i made him recall myself which he remembered (again lucky me).... and i told him about the issues and he promised me to revert back tmrw to my email with the answers (fair enough). I waited for next 2 days and didnt got any reply to my email.So i thought that the doc is busy so lets just give a gentle reminder via SMS that i m eagerly waiting.... didnt got a revert for that SMS. Suddenly at night 11 p.m i got multiple SMS messages from that mobile no. 'claiming to be some Dr rosy' who might have seen my posts here n assumed that i am trying to spoil the doc image (which i was not) and threatened me to go to Indian court (haha).....I must say that these ppl dont have time to reply to patients concerns but get time to look at the forums and once they realized that i am the same person , bombarded with multiple sms at late night? i reacted back in the same language so suddenly things were polite and they said (on sms) that they will reply to my concerns in next 24hrs (again fair enough).... its been 2-3 weeks till date i am waiting for those 24hrs to get finished. Take your call SAM... 2) I started this thread initially to provide my (hopefully) gud experience which might help to promote the doc as well but it seems things have gone other way round. 3) I have decided to go for another HT n thinking of trying the Turkish FUE doc...already emailed them n got positive revert as well , now that is professional to say the least :-)

yes eye swelled the 3 rd day of HT and on 4th day both eyes & whole face swelled like football. Its took 3-4 days to get normal. Swelling is normal post HT but i had a bit too much swelling for some reason. It went away by 8th day of my HT.

if you are not balding from crown area than i think you can choose a good doc to fill in surrounding these existing hairs.That will allow the existing hairs to be less visible and will look more natural adding to the density to the new ones.

no i did not had BHT, only got few white hairs removed from chest. yes i am sure every doc have some percentage of bad HT ofcouse. but with the reason i have given this doc will have higher percentage of such cases in my opinion. but you can try you luck if you wish to, i just can talk about my experience there may be others with good results (i dont know).

no they were not densely packed. Infact after 12 months i can see that 20-25 grafts/square cm in hairline seems quite low and sparse. Infact there are 2-3 small areas (patches) on hairline which has only 5-10 grafts/square cm and i have to hide it with surrounding longer hairs. When i went to the clinic what i liked was:- 1) Ambiance was international standard. 2) The clinic looked busy and with lot of patients coming n going. 3) The website had goods photo results on it. But since the end result is the only main thing that should matter hence i am very dissapointed on this part. Issues:- 1) Hairline drawn well but the hairs are sparse and require toppik for density. 2) Crown hairs have stubble thick hairs which are no growing even 1 mm further since last 5 months so i assume that they are not going to grow at all.These are atleast 200-300 grafts. 3) Ever since i did my HT i was regularly emailing/calling them for pre-op marked pics which the doctor promised to email me but they never send me anything.Neither anybody cared to revert back for my multiple reminders by phone/email. 4) I also had some marks on my chest hairs (chest hair removal) so i wanted to know the name of the tube i can use to heal them faster.They did no even cared to provide me this information.They kept on tell they shall call back n inform the tube i can use but never reverted.(fucked up customer care). 5) I side part my hairs.The donor area on my left side was taken slightly above than normal, so when i side part my hairs there is considerable thinning patch on my side part which i have to fill with toppik. Reasons:- 1) I asked the doc by email that whether he performs 1 surgery/day.He said YES, but on my day he was simultaneously performing another surgery. I had 3200 grafts in a day and another patient similar grafts. This takes away the concentration n quality of work (we are talking about Indian FUE docs who are not the top notch in the world as of now). 2) The doc does incision and staff implant the grafts and its very important that the staff is very good in his job.In my case i can see many areas where the incision was done but grafts not placed. They have 3 tables for performing HT i.e they can n are doing 3 surgery/day so only the lucky one will have the best staff performing it.

the 12 months results are not good.Whatever have grown are sparse and there are hundreds of grafts sitting on my crown without any growth.they just refused to grow for so many months i think they are dead n just stuck to my skin.WHAT A WASTE of my grafts N time (money is too far to think of). i would not recommend this clinic plus they care a damn to reply by email/phone. Why to use a doctor who would not be able to get connected ever after the surgery. rather go with Dr arviind or dr bhatti if in India n looking only for FUE.

exact 5 months post op today. still thin n sparse but seems i have to wait atleast 2-3 month more.

hello, 1) This is my exact 3 months update. the crown is back to its original pre op condition. the frontal area still has many grafts (around 30 %) which have not fallen off still.I dont know if this is gud or bad. any idea? 2) I am not taking finasteride due to previous side efffect, only 5% minoxidil. Can anyone has any suggestion or alternate to finasteride. Or may be another way of taking finasteride to avoid side effect. I tried 1mg/per day few years back for 2 months and resulted in side effect which lasted for 8 months after stopping the tablet. P.s I have also uploaded my pre op pics now in the first post in this thread. thanks.

I think the best way is to call them. Not gud with emails as per my experience as well.
