Senior Member 1978matt Posted July 22, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted July 22, 2012 Just thought I'd post to say I'm very pleased with this product. It has improved my hairline noticeably (dormant hairs resurrected and getting stronger as the weeks go by). The whole area is less see through than it used to be. I started using it 14 weeks ago (1 application at night only). I'll try to get a decent photo later if possible, although I don't think I have a good enough before photo to really see the difference. All in all, for anyone who hasn't, I recommend you try this product! 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day

Senior Member 1978matt Posted July 23, 2012 Author Senior Member Share Posted July 23, 2012 (edited) Some photos. First two from 09 April 12; third from 12 January 12 (with flash) and last 4 taken today 23 July 12. Started Regaine 14 April 12. Generally 1 application at night although recently I've additionally applied a small amount 30 minutes before showering in the morning. Senior Member irishsailor Posted July 23, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted July 23, 2012 1978Matt, Did you get a big shed at the start? I'm more worried about using rogaine than propecia. Not because of any health issues but the risk vs reward. I was more worried about going through a serious shed and seeing no results 12 months down the line. You do get a decent shed but not enough to really notice it in my opinion. It all comes back anyway, thicker and stronger! It is far cheaper and just as effective as the regaine from what i have seen. i was at Costco a few weeks ago and i believe the price of Kirkland minoxidil foam vs. Rogaine foam were the same price if not Rogaine was tad bit cheaper. I can't recall, but i bought the Rogaine instead. I think it's because Kirkland just came out with the foam version and that's why it's priced a bit high right now. Maybe after a few months it will drop below Rogaine's price.

Senior Member TakingThePlunge Posted July 29, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted July 29, 2012 Boba909, I recently purchased Kirkland Foam at Costco. Previously I was purchasing Rogaine Foam also at Costco. While the packages are priced almost the same, you get 6 bottles of Kirkland Foam compared to only 4 bottles of Rogaine for that price. Senior Member 1978matt Posted August 2, 2012 Author Senior Member Share Posted August 2, 2012 I'm looking to add photos every month so here's the August update. I'm not going to win 'Rogaine of the year' or anything like that but I feel quite relieved it has slowed/halted/brought back some hairs. 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day
Bill - Seemiller
1978Matt, It's great to hear that Rogaine (minoxidil) has been working for you. Some people are excellent responders to non-surgical treatments. By the way, we do sell Rogaine and generic minoxidil (including Rogaine and generic foam) via our online hair loss treatment shop at discounted prices. Wow matt that really impressive, comparing your first photos when you were 14 weeks in, it a real difference. Is that foam all over or only at specific areas? I have been on Lipogaine (liquid) am and alternating with generic (Spectral UHP Pm) for around 5 - 6 weeks, hopefully get similar results Did you get any shedding at all? Having never used it i had loads, hopefully it will fill back. Also are you doing anything against DHT? Thanks for sharing. Kyo
Senior Member 1978matt Posted September 2, 2012 Author Senior Member Share Posted September 2, 2012 Foam all over the top of the head. I think I may have had a small shed after about a month. I tried Finpecia for 2 months but had to give up because of the sides. 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day
Regular Member Kyo Posted September 3, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted September 3, 2012 hmm - tempted to switch to foam now . Liquid is ok but foam seems a bit more managable amd doesnt makes your hair look oily/damp? Couple of queries. with using foam? * Does it take long to dry? * Do you massage it in or do you just let dissolve topically? Cheers
