Same as me am also looking for good doctor to perform the hair transplant on me, by the did they say they will put 6000 grafts in one operation or with 3?

Another thing that concerns me with Longevita's doctor is that his not well know to people and not many people have heard about this company,, from looking at the doctors profile and medical qualification, is there way to check them up and also see if accredited doctor and also member of any association? I hope they do what their saying as they say they work with the best doctor in Turkey and are are approved by the Turkish Ministry of health, so can someone check up and verify this information. Apart from that they seem professional and genuine so still am thinking what to do.

Like i said before hospital is called Memorial... It is in the Atasehir region of istanbul... Type "memorial atasehir" into google and up it pops... I asked questions today fir u at hospital so u can take from it what u will

Dr Karahan qualifications: been doing ht 5 years...1000s of patients... No complaints..member of EHRS & ISHR whatever these are and goes to various seminars ...

Dr Guniz also works with dr karahan...

It appears lots of germans come to this hospital... from speaking to my turk buddy it would seem there are inly 2 companies that most people coming to turkey consider... They are Memorial & other company is Este hair... I aint sure why my buddy chose this...

I spoke to getman guy who re iterated he had a choice of same 2 and went memorial...

My turk buddy arranged everything thru a co ordinator called deniz...she gave me business card today and its identical to dr karahan other than her name being e mail address to contact... From what i gather sacekimi means ht in turkish..koza sacekimi seems to be the name of dr karahans ht business... He also works fir memorial hospital...i really could not fault anybody at hospital but i have only been looking into ht procedures for 7 days...so i aint anywhere near like the experts everywhere else on this site...

One other thing dr ali karahan is on you tube... Type his name and ht or koza sacekimi and up it pops... If u do come turkey book 2 nights in hospital and a further week in a hotel to recover and get ur puncture wounds washed proper each day..,theres a very good cheapish hotel called asia city hotel quite literally next door to memorial hospital ....

Dont think theres much more i can add to help...Its up to you what route u want to go...

As far as i am concerned this whole experience was utterly flawless for me... My heads healing very well.,. Scabs falling off each day and returning to normal...ill give it 6 months and see how things are after that... My buddy wants to come back in september as there are 2 parts on top his head about size 50pence coin which still requires doin... He was bald as a coot on top... Mine nowhere near as bad as him as i was just thining on top snd at front..when i looked over the charts that are used i would be at the first level or certainly nearish to that... Bn thining fir 8 years but held onto most of what i had by using propecia and latterly rogaine mousse...

As for posting pics,.,, i have no specific before and my hair looked fairly good anyway as i had it longer...

TAKE EASY AND DO YOUR HOMEWORK, nobody is gonna take responsibility for this part of it except you...

Its all up to you

:)

Good luck

Dear ataturk

Kindly advice about the no. Of the grafts you transplanted and if 10 days considered as enough period to be recovered and without any marks will be appeared, in other wards I could back to my work after 10 days without anybody notice any thing such as marks or red in the head

A11

Dr Karahan said 3000 grafts

No idea what that actually is in terms of 1 2. Or 3 hairs as i was unaware to even ask this until reading other reports on here...

I got my op on 22nd march so im at 9 full days post op.. Im happy going thru airport but under bright light my head looks a little bit red but my heads shaved,...my friend said nobody will notice but im not sure...it depends how observant others are of your head i guess...

I think 10 days ok but i cannot say if someone would know... If 1 day you jave no hair and nect day you have hair maybe someone at office would notice eh....I dunno...

1 thing

Our flight from turkey got delayed so missed connecting flight.. Stressful so i would not recommend travel in the immediate days after operation

Also not many people speak english in turkey

Taxi drivers a nightmare

You really need to get transfer from airport to hotel and hospital included in whatever place you go with...

Its not much fun not speaking the lingo!!

I am surprised at the german guys travelling the day after op... Airports are notoroius people watching places & i would not much fancy travelling in days after op but everyone is different i suppose

hi, ataturk

offcourse i know anybody will observe that i suddnly had a hair, but that not what i mean, i mean that if any body will observe that i had an operation or will observe any thing not normal in my head such as red or any marks thats after 10 days in other words if anybody saw me for a first time he will now that i had a hair transplant operation

last thing will be highly appreciated if you send me pics for your head now, i would like to know whats my head will be appeared after 10 days. you will be highly appreciated

I had a hair FUE transplant with Longevita 3 weeks - 5900 Grafts over two days.

Quite good overall.

Would have been better if there was at least one fluent English speaker in the surgery team to explain what they were doing and answer questions I was I was raising instantly without having to go and find an English speaker in the builder!

Other than that, I would definitely recommend Longevita. Their after-care is good too with quick responses from the doctor with post surgery concerns and questions and they have committed to a 6 month review to make sure I am happy.

Hi - The surgeon was Dr Enis Keskin who started the procedure but it was another younger guy and his team to performed the bulk of it thereafter.

It is looking good even though I am at the stage where the hair is beginning to shed now in the recipient area as per the phases following a transplant.

I went through a paranoid phase straight after surgery and started this thread where you can find some photos I posted.

Hi Rumon,

I was reading your posts and saw your transplant pics. Like you I saw the advert for Longevita. When I saw that they are offering 3,000 grafts for ?1750 it made me think that I could afford to have this done in the next couple of months. I was wondering if you went to Longevita in the end, or, if not where did you go and what were the costs? It's quite a big decision so if I had spoken to someone who has already been to the same clinic it would give me a bit more confidence. Do you have a recent picture of how it has turned out?

Hi Gents! it's now quite a few months down the line from when some of you went to Turkey for the HT's. How's it going now..? Who has also since been to Turkey? and any photos and feedback on the experience?

Thanks in advance! (I saw the Longevita advert in an EasyJet magazine!).

Regards, Campbell.

Hi guys,

Seen this thread so thought i'd post to try and answer a few of your questions and offer some advice...

Firstly, to put you in the picture, i am 4 months post FUE from my trip to Istanbul. I had 2,800 grafts in 1 day (the place i use will not do multiple day procedures as it's too much trauma for the scalp and can effect results). My results are fantastic and have been captured in a blog thread on here.

I strongly suggest you do a search for my posts on here and take a read as it covers most of the questions and concerns you might have. here is a link to my main thread..

http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/166347-2800-fue-dr-eser-ayadogdu-istanbul.html

With regard to your price quotes, they are very cheap and for a reason... the actual time spent on your scalp by the surgeon will be minimal, if at all. They simply cannot afford to pay top surgeons salaries and a team of trained assistants and make a profit at those figures, fact.

You'll find if you shop around in Turkey, there will be those at the lowest price end (as you have picked) and those almost in line with European prices, but i went for the one that was priced in the middle and had the best support package to guide you through everything.

For example, you mention the language issue. The last thing you want is to be being worked on, with a team of trainees working on your scalp, who don't understand what you are saying to them!! This is a procedure for life, so you want it to be right!

As part of the deal i had, i had a patient advocate with me throughout the whole procedure and to help care for me afterwards. She was Turkish but speaks fluent English and was a fantastic help, especially for calming the nerves.

Please do not base your choice purely on price as it is a false economy. I think it's fantastic that we are able to share our fantastic experiences on this forum to help make hair transplants more achievable to those on a lower budget, but, what we don't want is to hear another horror story of "the trainees looked confused whilst the follicles were popping back out of my scalp" etc etc.

Choose a company who has ethics, uses great surgeons and has great results. I am more than happy to put you in touch with the Cheshire based company i used as i am both thrilled with my results and the quality of the surgeons and the experience as a whole.

Any questions, just ask.

Rob

p.s 'Dutch' - you are not 'playing with fire' having a HT in Turkey at all. They are one of the most advanced in HT procedures and have been doing them for decades. They are ethical, professional and very competitive, hence great results at lower prices. I admit, i was skeptical prior to having my FUE in Istanbul, but based on my results and experience, i will now only ever have procedures done in Turkey, including dental work. Years ahead of the rest.

Hi everyone i wanted to know if anyone heard of a company called Longevita? or has used this company to have hair transplant treatment.

They are based in Uk London and is global medical tourism facilitator operating as an ordinary partnership with a registered trademark in the United Kingdom. They mention on their website that they are approved by the Turkish Ministry of Health and hold quality and hygiene certificates from international bodies. Longevita works with surgeons who are members of the Turkish Medical Association as well as societies of respective specialist fields both in Turkey and abroad.

So far i have approached this company and had video consultation with the doctor in turkey. They seem very genuine and professional, They have given me a quote for 4000 grafts and two days accommodation and airport transfers for ?2500 pounds.

i will have done research on this company or doctor but nothing bad seems to come up about them, to me i dont know if they are good at their job so i would need Everyone's say on this matter and what they think about this company and what the best choice or option for me..

Ideally i would like to visit Turkey for my hair transplant and looking for the best doctor in Turkey to get my hair transplant done, or if anyone could direct me to a well known doctor or have had hair transplant in Turkey then i would love to hear from you or your recommendation.

I will provide link for company Longevita below so everyone can have a look and see the doctors profile.

(promotional link removed)

Looking forward to hearing everyone views, Thanks

Kind Regards

Foyez Uddin

I used this company Longevita, and went to Turkey.

They promised my 5000 graft... I had to pay 60% money upfront on booking and the rest cash in Turkey before going in operation room.

but unfortunately as it happens , once you are on the table you dont know whats happening till after few weeks and months that you realise you were robbed in operating table DAY LIGHT !!!! With me besides other things main issue that happend is that I realised I paid for 5000 grafts but Longevita , paid only for 1000 GRAFTS to a company to do my surgery and so got a good chunk of my money in their pocket....

By the time I realised what had happened, I was unable to get my money back from my credit card and also Paypal....

so sadly now I know ..how Longevita makes money.... THEY DO SEND YOU TO TURKEY but you are hopeing you are getting 4000 or 5000 graft , as you paid for that many grafts but Longevita on your expenses strikes a deal with a surgery in Turkey for 1000 or so graft... and most of those people in Turkey did not speak English.

So this is my sad story and experience with longevita, I thought I tell so you may learn.

SkinTaj so sorry to hear what happen to you,, have you got in contact with Longevita? also are they willing to refund your money. Cause i have had a friend that had hair transplant through them and they gave him good results, not sure what they done wrong with you. Please dont just leave it as that as you need to make a complain and let everyone know if they are really ripping people off.

Thats terrible that Longevita did that!!

YOu should always get the grafts that you pay for.

I also didn't realise that Longevita were just a middle man/agent re-selling procedures.

It doesn't help the surgeons/companies out there that are doing a great job. For example, in this case, the team will have done what was requested... the 1,000 grafts, but the customer expects 5,000!

Make sure you use a reputable place, wherever the location and go off recommendation and results.

Regards

I call them and email them many times but all I received back is a pre formattted response, I suppose they send to everybody who has not been happy..... RIDICULOUSLY they wrote " your hair MAY TAKE A YEAR TO SHOW as they are still UNDER THE SKIN """" !!!!:confused:

I don't know pal- they might not be butchers & might be good but he deals in different types of surgery, so not a speciality.

2500 pounds for 4k grafts?? I would've thought it would be four times as much.

Why only Turkey? Do yourself a favour and visit the clinics in Belgium for consultations or go to Canada.

Don't play with fire. A transplant is not the sort of operation you can make a mistake with.

Costs in western countries are mainly driven by labour overhead, administrative expenses and insurance contracts. Over 71% of hospital costs are labour related according to the recent World Health Organization report. Low labour costs in Turkey constitute the main cost advantage.

In Turkey, purchasing power is almost one third of what it is in the UK. This is the same phenomenon with the Mc Donalds Big Mac or Starbucks Tall Latte prices in Turkey. Although the credentials of the doctors and the quality of the treatments are comparable in the two countries, the salaries of surgeons in Turkey are again almost one third. Therefore, Longevita simply reflects these cost savings onto its patients.
