Worried! 3 months post-op,colorless hair growing. Is it too slow?

Like the title says,I am post-op 3 months 7 days.I see colorless hair all over the operated area.I am happy at the same time I am worried, too much worried.

I met my doc yesterday.he said it is ok,but he did not seem to think that it is good.

what concerns me is that 'will all those small, thin, colorless hairs turn into normal healthy hair?'

'Am I too slow in terms of growth?'

I am seeing these hair since a month before and they are growing(?) very slowly.

I am worried as I am not sure about future of these newly growing hair.

I do have very few transplanted hair remaining which have not fallen yet.

Thank you and someone please bother to answer these questions.

Actually, you seem to be pretty much on schedule for the majority of people. They say around 3-4 months for new growth. I know much of the time it comes in colorless. Eventually it will turn color and thicken as it matures.

Don't worry, you are doing fine. Waiting is the hardest part.

I just read a post about someone 4 months out with no growth at all.....feel lucky and glad that you are getting hair, relax, and take comfort in knowing that you are going to have hair soon.

Vic,

I second what southbeach said above. Three months is only the very start. Hang in there those colorless hairs should mature in time. In addition, you will surely seen more and more new growth in the coming months.

I highly recommend taking monthly photos. This will help you to more effectively track your progress.

mate

stop panicking , the guys above are spot on , you are right on schedule and the hair always comes in like baby fine colourless hair , then sometimes goes a bit wirey and kinked , but it well eventually grow into normal looking , coloured hair .

don't panick , like has been metioned already , waiting is the hardest part .

Good luck

thank you everyone guys,

yes I am seeing those hair progressing well. i.e. they are gaining color now and few have got good length.

Best part is that my dos sees possility of next procedure though he refuses to talk about it at this time.

even if this small sprout grew with no more growth I thinkI would be happy,as I want 'not-bald' look.

thank you again,Mr.Publisher.

At 3 months the fun is just starting. You won't see full results until next Summer.

Finasteride 1.25 mg. daily

Avodart 0.5 mg. daily

Spironolactone 50 mg twice daily

5 mg. oral Minoxidil twice daily

Biotin 1000 mcg daily

Multi Vitamin daily

Damn, with all the stuff you put in your hair are you like a negative NW1? :D
